The precincts of Tsukiji Honganji Temple are called "Smile Square" and are cooperating with NPO events.

The opening of the store, which was introduced the other day, "French wine producers support the orphans of the earthquake," and the athlete charity auction held in cooperation with former volleyball representative Naomi Mashiko, were many customers. It was a great success to see.

The proceeds from the auction will be used for decontamination of radioactivity at elementary and junior high schools in Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture.

This event is likely to be a long-lived fight, but I wanted it to take root as one of the annual events of Tsukiji, and I wanted to visit again next year.

100-year festival parade of Nihonbashi Bridge

[Many Books Osa] October 31, 2011 08:30

On the morning of October 30, I took the 6th Edo Cultural History Test and took part in the stamp rally to see the parade of the Nihonbashi Bridge Centennial Festival, which began in front of Mitsukoshi.

The opening ceremony was held on Nihonbashi, but the bridge and its surroundings were full of spectators and PRESS people. It's hard to walk.

The parade began with a classic car and a music band of the Tokyo Fire Department, and was a large parade such as warriors, floats, Tekomai, and mikoshi. It was hard to take a picture, and it depends on taking it from a person.

◆A furoshiki with a picture of all towns in Chuo-ku! ~ Chuo-ku Tourism Association certified "Chuo-ku Senshafuroshiki" ~

[Akira Makibuchi / Sharakusai] October 29, 2011 08:30

Recently, there has been a lot of interest in furoshiki in search of eco-life. Recently, "Chuo-ku Senshafuroshiki", certified by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, has appeared. All 37 town names in the city are designed with pictured Sensha bills, and are finished in a stylish and stylish design. It can be used for wrapping small items and gifts, as well as for Chuo-ku original gifts, and is also suitable as an interior decoration.

0913_111025 furosiki01.JPGA picture derived from the town is drawn on the Senshafuda of each town name. Kyobashi is the main pillar of Kyobashi, and Nihonbashikakigaracho is the Suitengu Shrine, and its history and tradition are designed. Among them, there is a town name with a pattern featuring "Gourd Tokuri" and "Cub", so to speak, it looks like "Jiji-e", and it has the pleasure of reading. (Photo: upper right is wrapped in 50 cm square green color, left is wrapped in dark blue. The lower part is the design part)

Furoshiki, which can be used for various purposes such as wrapping, laying, giving, and covering, is said to have originated in Nara period. In the past, it was indispensable to daily life, but the opportunity to use it gradually decreased. However, in recent years, the design has become more diverse, the wrapping method has been devised, and it is said that the unique furoshiki has become popular. I'm looking forward to the days that I can be proud of using this Chuo-ku original furoshiki.

The size of "Chuo-ku Senshafuroshiki" is about 50 cm square and is suitable for applications such as gold sealing, lunch box wrapping, and tissue wrapping. Two colors, enji and dark blue. Made in Japan, 100% cotton. The price is 630 yen (including tax) per sheet and is sold at the Chuo-ku Tourism Association window and Tokyo Fujinomiyabi Furoshiki Gallery. Miyai Co., Ltd. (Tokyo store: 3-4-6 Nihonbashi Ningyocho, Chuo-ku)
