The 18th Chuo-ku Snow Festival

[Satoken] February 10, 2015 09:00

On Sunday, February 8, I saw the "18th Chuo-ku Festival" held at Akatsuki Park.

Unfortunately, it was raining, and the children were about to return home.

This snow was delivered from Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture, a friendship city, and if the weather is good, the entire silver world will be a whole.

It must have been. Still, the children were enjoying sleds and miniskies.

In the park, there were also corners where you can taste Higashine's specialty “Imo broth” and “Tamakonjac”.

There was also a song corner and a mini zoo.

Walk along the bridge of Keigo Higashino "When the curtain of prayer goes down"③

[Tachibana] February 9, 2015 13:00

The bridge that appears in the novel "When the curtain of prayer goes down" is introduced in the order of the month written on the calendar in the novel, but this time around "Tokiwa Bridge" written on the calendar in April It is an introduction.

As you know, there are three bridges with the name "Tokiwa".

First of all, "Shin Tokiwa Bridge" connects Nihonbashi Motoishi-cho in Chuo-ku with Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku.

The soba shop "Muromachi Sandbox" located in Muromachi 4-chome, which goes a little from Shin-Tokiwa Bridge to Kanda, is the birthplace of Tenzaru.

Also, on the Chiyoda-ku side, the JR railway bridge spans the Nihonbashi River, and the railway bridge is marked with the emblem of Japan National Railways.

Next is "Jobanbashi". It is always written as "Iwan" instead of "board", but Tokiwa seems to have been taken from "Kanaba Wakashu", but there seems to be a story that the word stone was applied so that it did not break like a plate . It is currently under construction.

"Jobanbashi" was made of stone during the Meiji era, but the stone wall depicted in the picture above is the stone wall of the Masugata Tokiwa Bridge Gomon at the outer gate of Edo Castle heading toward Asakusa.

And it is the third "Tokiwa Bridge".

It is thought that this Tokiwa Bridge will appear in the novel.

[Taro Edo] February 4, 2015 14:00

In the cold weather, I went to see Shintomiza Children's Kabuki.

This is the dedication of the Setsubun Festival at Tepposu Inari Shrine.

1) Date and time Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm

2) Venue Tetsuzu Inari Shrine

3) Performance

1.  Kotobuki-style Sanbaso

Highlights

Sanbaso is a ceremony-colored dance based on a work called Noh [Okina].

There is a prayer that the country will calm down peacefully, each family will live happily, and the five grains will grow generously.

There is a gesture of shaking and sounding the tin and stepping on the stage crisply, that is, this is a call to the spirit of heaven and earth. We, the Japanese, have purely wished that the climate is blessed and the soil is fertile.

2. The place of Koshinzuka, Sanbashi Shiranami Okawabata

A rough

Setsubun night. Oose had a hundred cars that the customer had forgotten last night and came to Okawabata to look for him. However, a daughter in a kimono that appeared there deprived one hundred cars and fell into the river. The girl was Yoshizo, a lady of reputation, dressed as a woman.

The young lady also robbed the sword from Taroemon, who witnessed the scene, and was intoxicated by the goodness of her neck tonight.

He saw this from the shade.

In 100 cars, they will be a game of skill.

It was also the thief Yoshizo Kazuo who stopped there. Eventually, the two were impressed by Yoshizo Kazuo's masculinity and wished to become brothers. Yoshizo Kazuo responded to the feelings of the two, and here the three thieves of the same name Yoshizo changed a hard blood cup.

The men who are ready to work on the rope and get ready to get on the rope if they can't escape any more in a matching small sleeve.

So he was surrounded by the ambushed catchers, but innocently he said, "I will not be defeated," raised his name, and confronted the catchers.

young bird & adult bird Co., Ltd.

[Sam] February 3, 2015 14:00

The time it takes for birds to mature from young bird to adult bird varies from species to species, and generally the larger the body, the longer it takes.

In the case of a small seagull, the theory is two years.

The chicks born in the breeding ground in summer are wrapped in fluff (producing feathers), but they are said to have the same shape as adult bird, a brownish young feather.

The young feathers, the first winter feathers, the first summer feathers, and the second winter feathers are gradually changed from brown young feathers to gray adult bird feathers.

adult bird also repeats summer feathers and winter feathers.

In young bird, the beak and legs are yellowish, but the yellow gradually becomes darker, orange, and red in adult bird.

You can understand the difference when young bird and adult bird line up.

On the calendar, even though it is near spring, the cold weather is still severe, and the lovely expression of the black turtle relaxing in the pools along the banks of the Sumida River feels warm.

Best of the Best of the Best (Bridgington Museum)

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] February 3, 2015 09:00

From May 18 this year, the Bridgestone Museum of Art, located at the intersection of Yaesu-dori and Chuo-dori, will be closed and new construction will begin.

The new building is expected to open a few years later, but now there is a collection exhibition of "Best of the Best" suitable for decorating the end before the museum is closed. The period is from Saturday, January 31 to Sunday, May 17.

bridg2.JPG

It is said that about 1,600 of the approximately 2,500 Ishibashi collections are managed at the Bridgestone Museum. About 160 of them will be exhibited at the Best of the Best.

bridg3.JPG

The day I went was the first day, so I thought it was crowded, but it was just enough that one or several people were standing and watched in front of each work, so it was moderately crowded .

I was able to take a closer look at my favorite work at my own pace, and I was able to spend a really satisfying time with the feeling of saying, "I'm sorry to have my eyes (_ _)m" .

bridg4.JPG

From March 31, some exhibits have been replaced, and three important cultural properties from the Ishibashi Museum of Art in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, "The Sham of Tenpyo" (Takeji Fujishima), "Seafood", "Wadatsumi Irokonomiya" (Shigeru Aoki) will also be exhibited. I think, "I have to come and see it again."
