Regatta

[Ryokichi] April 30, 2015 18:00

When it comes to spring events on the Sumida River, cherry blossom viewing is the best.

When it comes to sporting events, there is this historic event that takes place every April.

This is the Waseda-Keio Regatta, which celebrates its 84th anniversary in 2015. This is an eight-seater boat race between Waseda University and Keio University.

(The picture is from a regatta a few years ago.)

IMG_0960.JPG

This tournament is known as the competition between Tokyo's best private universities, but since the boat itself is not a very major sport, it has a plain impression now.

However, it is said that in the past, it has attracted considerable attention.

By the way, it is relations with Chuo-ku, but race may start from around Hamacho Park because the starting point is upstream of Shinohashi.

The goal is Sakurabashi that crossed Asakusa.

It takes about 10 minutes to go through this distance.

At the starting point, OBOGs from both schools are cheering. Is there a lot of people who were university students a little long time ago? Still, everyone is hot.

Both schools started shortly about their location. When we started accelerating, it quickly disappeared to Ryogoku Bridge. The latest information comes in by radio, but you can not see the race process in Chuo-ku. Even so, there are also TV broadcasts, so some people seem to watch it on their mobile phones. Isn't this kind of sport suitable for public viewing?

It seems that there have been various progress, but this year we won Keio University.

Waseda University will pledge the humiliation of next year and will do his best again.

This kind of repetition will build history.

This is the 84th time since it has been more than 100 years in history. In fact, there was a time when the river was dirty and I couldn't race. It was finally revived in the 1950s and has continued to this day.

If you think so, it's a race with a beautiful Sumida River. I hear that players from both schools are proud to be on this stage.

Remember that the tradition of this race is inseparable from the Sumida River and is with the people who protect the Sumida River.

Greenery Hamarikyu Garden

[whatever] April 30, 2015 09:00

This year is also the season of GW in no time. Personally, I feel "early", but are there many people who have already taken long vacations? I'm going to take a rest according to the calendar for now.

Today is Showa Day. The weather seemed to be good, and I remembered that this month's ward news had a free admission ticket for Hamarikyu (for residents in the ward), so I went out with a book.

I entered from Ote Kadoguchi, but there is a bicycle storage area in front of the entrance. Please note that there is no parking lot for visitors.

Some Yae-zakura was still in bloom, but at this time the wisteria was blooming beautifully. I was able to see the beautiful wisteria trellis up close.

In the park, the number of benches was large, and I read the book I brought for about an hour and continued my walk. There were many tourists from Asia, Europe and the United States. Everyone, you can take a picture using a selfie stick.

There is a forecast that the weather will collapse in the second half of the GW, but let's go again. Have a good meal at the nearby Tsukiji Market... On May 6 (holiday), "Half Price Market" will be held at Tsukiji Outer Market.

[Miko Rat] April 29, 2015 15:30

Hello! I'm a rat, Miko.

Today, I have participated in the Dementia Prevention Course, so I will report on the situation.

"Dementia" You hear this topic once a week.

There may be many people who think of it every day.

Reflecting that, the course is full! It was a popular course that some people were lost.

 Blog: Dementia. jpg

Lecturer is Chiaki Ura (Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Health and Longevity Medical Center), who has been active in many lectures.

Dr. Ura first said that nothing was proved to be 100% prevention of dementia.

However, it has been quite clear that it is effective to delay the onset of disease.

It's encouraging to be revealed just by delaying!

This is the main subject.

What I particularly wanted to know was "What should I start with?" "What is really effective?"

If you look at the book on prevention of dementia, you can see that

Medicine, exercise, travel, polyphenol, vegetables, conversation, brain training game, laughter, handicrafts, challenge to new things ...

When you start to list it, there is an endless amount of information.

But I don't know what's good.

What helped me to solve this is that dementia prevention behavior can be classified into two categories.

These two are a "physiological approach" to prevent damage to the brain's body, and a "cognitive approach" to maintain brain judgment.

If you divide the above example roughly, do you feel like this?

Physiological approach ⇒ Drugs (treatment of hypertension, etc.), exercise, polyphenols, vegetables

Cognitive approach ⇒ Travel, conversation, brain training game, laughter, handicrafts, challenge to new things

Finding what you can do from both, not on the other side. He said that if you only do one or two months, you will not keep up with the aging speed, so it is important to keep it for a long time.

It was easy to understand as an example of what can be continued is that if you are writing a household account book, it would be effective to write it out while remembering what you bought without looking at the receipt. In this case, you can do it without taking a new time, so it seems easy to continue.

In a physiological approach, the effectiveness of exercise is quite clear, and it seems that daily activities such as housework can be done.

And lastly, the most impressive thing was the keyword "Take iron while it's hot."

One of the characteristics of people who have continued for six months later is "the person who started immediately after hearing."

Everyone who participated in the course together, have you started something after that?

If you're motivated to start by reading this article, let's start together today!

・・What did I start? Next time, I will introduce you.

In the course of the main part, we had a lot of other data and developed a lecture that motivated me to start.

It was Chuo-ku Workers Service Corporation Let's Chuo, who hosted this course.

http://www.chuo-tokyo.com/

In the center of Let's, health seminars such as Pilates (July), pelvis stretching (October), and Qigong (March) will be held this year.

In addition, classrooms that are attracting attention now, such as fruit cutting classes (July) and icing cookie making classes (October), will be held exclusively for members.

If you work for a small and medium-sized business and live or work in Chuo-ku, please use it!

I also want to apply for a fruit cutting class and an icing cookie making class.

As mentioned above, she was a mice.

I hope you will have a happy day today!

Chocolate specialty store in Ginza ★Decadance du Chocolat

[Mapo ★] April 29, 2015 09:00

There was such a chocolate specialty store in Ginza 1-chome.
It seems to have been made in February of last year, but I didn't notice it.
Decadance du Chocolat
It seems that there has been a shop in Shibuya for 10 years.

KIMG0252b.JPG KIMG0247.JPG

It was the time of Easter, so there were a lot of egg-shaped chocolates.
The chocolate of this Nana crayon was cute.
I bought 4 bottles alone, but it's creamy and very delicious.♪
But I'm glad that it's not refrigerated.

KIMG0250.JPG KIMG0255.JPG

The contents are milk chocolate and white chocolate.
Coffee, pistachio, caramel and passion from the left.

The macaron was also a little large and delicious.
This is refrigerated, so next time. 。 。

And what surprised me is the coffee service for those who bought chocolate.
There is also a milk pot, so you can put it in plenty and put it into ole.★

There are chansons flowing in the store, so you can feel like Paris.♪

"Miffy Exhibition" commemorating the 60th anniversary of birth-Matsuya Ginza

1. April 28, 2015 14:00

100_1643.JPGThis exhibition began on April 15th. About a week ago, Matsuya's wall turned into Miffy's face, and there are many people who point their cameras from across Ginza Street!

It was a start of a full-fledged topic making, and it was very busy every day. I went out on the first Sunday and went back to shop only three days later because of the so popular goods section.

100_1645.JPGI think there are many people who remember the Japanese translation "Usako-chan" series. The venue was full of people who were children in the past. My face is gradually changing from the first work, Miffy, the second work, and the third work. Miffy, 180cm tall, designed by Japanese creators, also appeared.

100_1647.JPG

There is a "breakfast memo" drawn by Bruna for his wife every morning, and I am convinced that Miffy was born from this happy family with a cute touch of today's day schedule. There was a "Miffy's Clear File" in the hard and reputable teacher's room at a certain national museum where I was bothering me at work, and I remembered the teacher's shy expression that I thought "I was seen".
