Ozu Historical Museum

[Shiraji] July 31, 2015 18:00

In Nihonbashi Honmachi, there is a long-established Japanese paper store "Ozu Washi" that has been in business for over 360 years.
It is said that this was the first time that Ozu Seizaemon Nagahiro founded a paper wholesaler "Ozu Seizaemon Store" in Temmacho, a commercial area in Edo (current location) in 1653 in the Shoo era.

The new store, completed in 2015, is surrounded by fences like a store from the Edo period, with Japanese shop curtain at the entrance.

On the first floor, there is a corner called "Washi Experience Studio" where you can experience paper making in front, and on the left hand side is a store where products using Japanese paper and Japanese paper from all over Japan are lined up.

The second floor is the Ozu Cultural Class and the Ozu Gallery, and the third floor is the Ozu Historical Museum and the Mini Museum, which displays the history, raw materials, manufacturing methods and production areas of Japanese paper.

Of course, the "Ozu Historical Museum" is a collection of exhibits that introduce the history of "Ozu Washi", but it seems to be a long-established store that has been in business for more than 360 years, and the exhibits include customs of the Edo period and the lifestyle of merchants.

Mr. Banzu gave me a lot of explanations and also showed me a video recording of the process of actually making Japanese paper at the gallery.

Also, on the first floor of the store, you can experience the original handmade Japanese paper experience even by family members, friends or one person (reservation priority).

[Date-ya drunken 4th generation] July 31, 2015 18:00

Harumi is a landfill, where it was said to be Tsukishima No. 4 at the time it was built.

When I was a child, nearly 30 years ago it was the image of a pier and a motor show.

Harumi is now a futuristic city with high-rise apartments and commercial facilities.

From the Harumi, you can see Tsukishima.

In the foreground there is a public corporation that was a good era of Showa.

Behind it is a high-rise apartment that makes you look into your head.

This Harumi Canal must have seen various times.

Slowly and slowly. It is a canal where you can feel the flow of time.

Evening of Harumi Canal

As the reclaimed land, Harumi was called the No.4 place of Tsukishima at the moment when it was built.

Around 30 years ago during my childhood, our image of Harumi was all about wharf and motor show.

Yet now Harumi turned out to be full of high-rise apartments and commercial facilities which give us a sense of near future.

We could enjoy the view of Tsukishima from Harumi.

The apartment houses could be seen on the near side reminds us of Japanese good old days of Showa Era. And after that are the high-rise apartments peep out a little.

Harumi Canal must have been experienced many periods till now, a canal which could sense the flow of time.

Harumi Harikawa Night

Harumi Honzei Land, originally named No. 4 Land.

Thirty years ago, in my childhood, Nari-like impression, "Old" Japanese "New Exhibition".

Naito's first Haruminami, a high-ranking commercial forest, and a near-futuristic urban area.

From the view of the ocean.

It's a public place like the Showa era. There is a slight dew angle in the back.

Harumi Harikawa's departure from the era of the end of the patronage.

At the time of the flow of the time, Harumi, the sense of the ability of the river is all the way.

[Chuo-ku to enjoy with children] #08: Issho mochi for birthday commemoration! (Ginza 7-chome)

[Dye] July 31, 2015 14:00

This time, it was a long time ago, but I would like to introduce how Chibi of my home celebrated his first birthday and celebrated at a wonderful shop in Ginza at that time.

The shop is "Irimoya-Bettei-"

It is on the 4th floor of the Ginza Lion Building at Ginza 6-chome intersection in Chuo-dori.

"Bear Hall Lion Ginza 7-chome Store" on the first floor is the oldest existing beer hall.

Since its opening in 1934, it seems that the appearance has not changed completely.

The entrance of the iris house is behind the street, just one road from the street.

I made a reservation here in advance and visited at lunch time.

Guided by a calm private room, adults can enjoy colorful and delicate dishes.

A 3-year-old nephew has a children's plate, and a 1-year-old Chibi has a one-year-old mochi.

Mr. Chibi, carrying Issho mochi. I was able to choose the furoshiki that wraps it from various patterns.

In addition, the shop took a group photo and printed it on the spot, and when I returned home, I cut this rice cake and made it a souvenir along with the photo.

s17_07.jpg

It was a delicious rice cake that felt the rice and melted quickly.

In addition, I think it's a reservation privilege, but I also received a birthday cake.

Chibi and others are also excited about the candle service that opens with a paka.

The shops were also very kind, and I had good memories on the anniversary.

And the tired mother has a good time. 。 。 (^^;)

1st birthday is special...How about such a luxurious anniversary occasionally?

There were many shops outside Tsukiji, and there was a line of people buying delicious food.

Everyone seemed to be very happy. Please refer to the report of another correspondent for photos of the fun scene.

Today, I studied, so I was forced to disappear in the dark.

I'd like to know you soon.

Walk around Tsukuda Island

[Satoken] July 30, 2015 18:00

Soon we took a walk around Tsukuda Island, where the Reitaisai festival of Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine is located.

As you may know this time, I would like to introduce Tsukuda Tendai guardian of children and travelers.

The entrance is a narrow alley, where you may pass by inadvertently.

Yes, there is. It is famous for its ginkgo tree that runs through the roof.

Tsukuda Island 2.jpg        Tsukuda Island 3.png

It was well-cleaned, protected by the beliefs of the locals.

Nearby, there is also a museum decorated with mikoshi, where you can study the history of Tsukuda Island.

Tsukuda Island 4.png

By the way, Reitaisai festival began on July 31, followed by a lion head shrine on August 1 and a boat imperial procession on August 2.

Will be done.
