Yellow leaves and autumn leaves of Shiwasu <Nihonbashikakigaracho / Hamacho>

[whatever] December 15, 2015 09:00

It rained heavily from the 10th to the 11th of this month, but after stopping, the blue sky spread in an instant. After that, a little strong wind blew, and a yellow carpet spread throughout the city (although it's an exaggeration).

The ginkgo leaves, which were still green until the other day, were completely yellow.

It seems that you can enjoy both yellow leaves and autumn leaves a little more.

Autumn-season Japanese sweets <Eitaro Sohonbu>

[whatever] September 6, 2015 14:00

The sultry heat has returned in recent days, but the sun has begun to gradually decrease, and it is around this time that I feel the sign of autumn. Who said, "Autumn of appetite." Certainly, I found a delicious raw confectionery at Eitaro Sohonbu in the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store.

A large chestnut is round and round.

The existence of Koshian is modest, but it doesn't fit well.

When chestnut sweets begin to appear, you feel autumn.

- Mitarashidango-

I don't think it's just a fool.

I didn't know for a moment what was going on, but the bonito of "Ninben"

(I remember that it was written as "Samurai Bonito" in the showcase....)

It's covered.

It seems that this will be sold from early autumn to early spring.

Mitarashi dumplings with dashi were delicious.

The long-established taste of Nihonbashi is stable and incorrect. I recommend it to everyone with confidence.

Sales of Happy Shopping Tickets in Chuo-ku

[whatever] June 21, 2015 18:00

The morning of June 21st. When I opened the window of the room saying "Is it raining?", There was a long line under my eyes.... Today was the sale day of "Chuo-ku Happy Shopping Ticket"!

Actually, I had never purchased it yet, but I thought, "If it has not been sold out at the time of preparation, let's buy it," and check the state of the queue and prepare yourself....

"Chuo-ku Happy Shopping Ticket" can be purchased by central residents aged 16 and over. It seems that this is a business aimed at expanding consumption, in which a shopping ticket worth 11,000 yen per book can be purchased at a 10% discount of 10,000 yen (first come, first served). Up to 5 books per person.

It was said that 9:00 am was the start of sales, the long line was interrupted, and the inhabitants of the ward entered the sales venue one after another, but it was a little past 11:00 am when I completed dressing. By the time, the line was already gone, but it was not sold out yet, so I purchased only one book this time.

If you look at the list of dealers, it can be used at a large number of stores, such as convenience stores, hospitals, fruit and vegetable stores that take care of almost every day in the neighborhood, long-established stores in the Nihonbashi area, and boutiques in Ginza.

I purchased only one book, so I think I will use it up in no time, but since it is a central inhabitant of the ward, it is a great deal, so I have to actively use such a system.

The use period of this shopping ticket is from June 21, 2015 (Sunday) to March 31, 2016 (Thursday).

Shopping tickets that were not sold out on the day will be sold at the ward office on Monday the following day. For more information:

Greenery Hamarikyu Garden

[whatever] April 30, 2015 09:00

This year is also the season of GW in no time. Personally, I feel "early", but are there many people who have already taken long vacations? I'm going to take a rest according to the calendar for now.

Today is Showa Day. The weather seemed to be good, and I remembered that this month's ward news had a free admission ticket for Hamarikyu (for residents in the ward), so I went out with a book.

I entered from Ote Kadoguchi, but there is a bicycle storage area in front of the entrance. Please note that there is no parking lot for visitors.

Some Yae-zakura was still in bloom, but at this time the wisteria was blooming beautifully. I was able to see the beautiful wisteria trellis up close.

In the park, the number of benches was large, and I read the book I brought for about an hour and continued my walk. There were many tourists from Asia, Europe and the United States. Everyone, you can take a picture using a selfie stick.

There is a forecast that the weather will collapse in the second half of the GW, but let's go again. Have a good meal at the nearby Tsukiji Market... On May 6 (holiday), "Half Price Market" will be held at Tsukiji Outer Market.

Events in the Nihonbashi area

[whatever] October 22, 2014 09:00

In October, events in the Nihonbashi area will not be able to go to all, but we will introduce two events that we have participated and visited to date.

The "1st Ningyocho Neighborhood Sake Walking" was held in Ningyocho on the 11th. Drink sake from 13 breweries from all over the country at participating restaurants in the neighborhood of Ningyocho (handi sake)! It's an event. I joined with two friends who helped me.
Participation fee is 2000 yen for advance sale and 2500 yen for the day. We purchased the advance sale.

First of all, we accept at Shinkawaya Sasaki Hotel in amazake Yokocho. It was just around 14:00 when the reception started, but it was already a long line! It seems that more than 1,000 people participated! We will finish the reception safely and receive a wristband and a sake set. Inoguchi with a wonderful design.

Well, I'll have it right away. At the Sasaki liquor store, several kinds of sake were lined up. Do you like daiginjo in Niigata? My friends seem to have been concerned about Miyagi's hiyashi.
I almost started drinking seriously from the first house (all-you-can-drink!) There is still a long way to go to the next shop. To the same line, "Aoi". I thought it was unique to this event that I could enter a shop that I wouldn't normally enter alone. The appetizers were also prepared here (charged). I forgot to take a picture because it was so delicious and fun that I felt early, but I'm really happy that all of them, such as tidbits's three kinds of varieties and homemade salted salt.
kikiaruki2.jpgkikiaruki3.JPGkikiaruki4.JPG
Every shop is likely to stay long, but one after another! And move with a staggered foot. For the time being, I went around the map I received at the reception in one hand, but even if I could only go around 6 houses, I will enter `` Kikuya Nare '' that I think that I will not use on my own in the future It was a valuable experience to have a spaghetti.kikiaruki map.JPG
Well, how much I drank ... I don't know at all, but I drank quite a bit. However, it is really a great deal to be able to drink only for 2,000 yen. I hope it will be held next year.

Well, next is "Betara City". Many people came this year (October 19-20). The annual Bon Odori in front of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation along Ningyocho-dori. Many people also participated here.
What I'm looking forward to in Bettara City is the stall of "Edoya". Not all products, but some of Edoya's products can be purchased at a special price. Actually, two years ago, I was buying a horse hair toothbrush in Betara City. I usually use an electric toothbrush, so I didn't use it until recently, but when I tried it, I realized that my teeth became smooth! That's why I bought it again this year (300 yen). I recommend it because it's firm. Plus, this year, I bought it for iron pots (600 yen).bettara edoya.jpegbettara1.jpeg
And I also purchased "Umekatei", which was previously introduced on Tachibana's blog. I'm looking forward to it. Chestnuts are crunchy and have a good response to eating.
bettara2.jpeg

And the most important thing is to taste the pickles exclusively. You can buy it all year round
Then we went to see the big Japanese lantern of Takarada Ebisu Shrine and the Japanese lantern of Kabuki actor over the torii gate. Just look at it.

Challenge <Take Matsuya Onoe, Kabuki Independent Performance>

[whatever] August 15, 2014 14:00

On August 13, when the return rush during the Bon holiday peaked, Matsuya Onoe's independent performance "Challenge" celebrated its first day at Nihonbashi Public Hall Nihonbashi Theater (until the 15th). It seems that this year will be the sixth year. The first day is a performance. It started at 17:30.
idomu1.jpg
I went inside almost at the same time as the opening time and watched the flowers and posters in the lobby. I found Matsuya's mother. I was greeted by the people involved. I think it's a great job.
idomu2.jpgAnd "Perin Anmitsu" produced by Matsuya-san, in collaboration with "Edo Amami Shosui Tengu Tsukushi" in Ningyocho, was sold in a small soba inoguchi of Arita porcelain. It seems that 50 pieces will be sold at each performance, but it seems that you can purchase them at the store after all the performances are over (advance reservation required). August 16-31.

***

First of all, from your mouth. Matsuya explained the performance and its highlights. By the way, this time, I was able to take a seat right next to Hanamichi. "I wish this was Kabukiza ..." A few minutes after the mouth began, the footsteps of walking along the flower path with a stagger ... What? Looking back, the late visitor crossed the flower path without hesitation and sat in his seat. Certainly, it's not a theater dedicated to Kabuki or a small theater, but it's unlikely that you will walk on the flower path. In this case, I asked myself, "Is the Kabukiza just too long for May?", And asked myself, who was upset by an unexpected event, but I am not wondering why there was no guidance from the staff. Mr. Matsuya on the way to the mouth seemed to be a little surprised, but recently, those who are making a noise with something, of course, finished their mouth without delay, and it was the beginning.

The first performance is "Twinchokuruwaniki Hikimado".
As I explained in my mouth that the "drawing window" attached to the roof to capture the outside light and the "Chozubachi" placed in the garden would be the key, there was a scene where I was surprised, expressing the compassion and affection of this work.

The second performance is the “festival” set in Edo town, which is crowded with the “Sanno Festival” at Akasaka Hie-jinja Shrine.
When I saw the same performance by Nizaemon Kataoka at Kabukiza June Daikabuki, it was a return performance, so it was very gorgeous, and it was new to my memory that the stage and the audience were united. However, today's "festival" also features entertainers and young people who performed Tokumatsu Onoue and Yoshiya Uemura, who danced the stage and Kazuto Onoue.
There was also a lottery during the intermission, and the production that did not get tired delighted the audience. Unfortunately, I didn't hit anything ...

Click here for the schedule of Nihonbashi Public Hall in August. There are several Kabuki events, but this month I already went to the Kabukiza Theater and I've endure Gaman ...

 Kabuki is fun.
