Fresh! Chicken specialty store <Okintori store>
There are several long-established department stores in Chuo-ku, but when you enter a few backs from the main street, there are still many small private stores. Tofu shop, dyeing source, fruit and vegetable shop, fresh fish shop, kimono shop, Japanese tea laver shop, Japanese and Western confectionery shop, etc.
One of them is the Daikintoriten (Dakintoriten) store in Nihonbashihamacho. It's a shop that sells chicken meat. You can turn left at the traffic light in front of Hamacho Park on Kiyosubashi-dori toward Ningyocho, or turn right across the Hamacho Green Road from amazake Yokocho toward Meijiza.
Anyway, it's fresh. When you open the door at the entrance of the shop, you'll find a showcase, and there's only a specialty store in it, all the parts I don't know how to cook. The back of it seems to be a workshop for handling. Perhaps because of wholesale to business partners, many people were working on the day I visited. I think there is no doubt that it will be lined up in the showcase immediately after handling it on the spot.
Actually, I still buy only minced meat, but there are two types of minced meat: "Ochidori" and "Wakadori" (both 110 yen / 100g). When asked about the difference, "Ochidori" was ground at once, and "Wakadori" was ground about three times. When I bought the minced meat and cooked it immediately, what surprised me was that there was almost no acne during cooking. The floating fat is also transparent. And it has a chewy texture because it has been grinded only once, and the fat is rich and umami.
You can also buy chicken eggs from one rose. Of course, it was fresh and delicious.
In the coming season, it's a good idea to buy a chicken bath or a whole grill. I'm impressed by the difference in freshness and taste compared to those sold in packs at supermarkets.

Head Office Building, HARIO Corporation
Nihonbashitomizawacho. Condominiums are built around here, but it is a very quiet area with few traffic on weekends. There is an eye-catching building along Daimon Street, which is two from the Horidomecho intersection on Ningyocho Street. It is obvious at a glance that it has not been built very recently. This is the headquarters building of HARIO Co., Ltd., known for its heat-resistant glass products.
Although this day was a weekday, I didn't see people coming in and out, but at the foot that seems to be the front entrance, there is a plate of "registered Tangible Cultural Property" from the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
There is also one entrance light in the upper right corner, which is also in the front. The thick and warm shape catchs your eye. Maybe it's made in-house. The signboard with the company name like a stencil plate is also wonderful. No matter where you look at the outer wall, the details are really beautiful. This building is said to have been built in 1932 (Showa 7) as the Kawasaki Saving Bank Tomizawacho Branch. After that, it was used as the Joyo Bank Tokyo Branch and the accompanying Horidome Branch. Many of the bank buildings are heavily built. After that, Hario Glass Co., Ltd. moved its headquarters to this building in 2000 as part of its 80th anniversary commemorative project.
I don't think Japan is aggressive in preserving old buildings, probably because of a country with many earthquakes. The building is meaningful only for people to live, so it is used carefully while being repaired in any form, and I want many people to watch it and leave it for a long time. Also, my personal hope is that the electric wires cannot be buried underground ... HARIO Corporation 9-3, Nihonbashitomizawacho, Chuo-ku ★Hario Life ★(Blogs with information related to products)
