Sumida River Bridge (tentative name) Name Recruitment

[Sumida Fireworks] May 13, 2014 16:00

It is a new bridge at the mouth of the Sumida River, but I have also seen the bridge. It was a masterpiece to see a large crane ship appearing around 6:30 am on May 8 (Thursday) with a 120m long bridge center hanging around.

The Sumida River has a large number of ships operating, so it seems that a bridge girder was made in another place to shorten the operation suspension period and brought to this place and installed it.

No, the figure after the bridge is also quite good.

s_hanabi3-3.jpgIn parallel with this bridge work, the name of the bridge is also being recruited.

Application forms are distributed at Chuo-ku government offices, etc., and can also be downloaded from the following Chuo-ku URL.
The application qualification is those who are related to Chuo-ku (resident, working, attending school), but if you can apply, please give a good name. It is until May 20 (Tuesday).

Scenery of Tokyo Tower-Kachidoki-

[Sumida Fireworks] May 3, 2014 14:00

Kachidoki is the southernmost part of the Sumida River Terrace, but from this Kachidoki terrace, you can see Tokyo Tower.
You can see the Tokyo Sky Tree from various places, but there are surprisingly few places where you can see Tokyo Tower, so it is rare? ? It's a place.

s_hanabi2-1.jpgIt is also introduced in the smartphone app "Tokyo Chuo-ku Town Walking Map".

s_hanabi2-2.jpgI can see the vast space of the Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, but I really like the view from here because you can see Roppongi Hills beside the tower and Tsukiji Market in front of you. In particular, the night view is too luxurious.

s_hanabi2-3.jpgWe are now building a new bridge here, and the construction of a bridge girder from both banks was completed before Golden Week. It seems that the middle part will finally be installed at the end of Golden Week.

s_hanabi2-4.jpgAfter this installation work is completed, the scenery of Tokyo Tower, which had been seen until now, will change, and the scenery of the bridge will be added to create a new landscape. It's a bit lonely that it's fun and at the same time loses the scenery so far. Conversely, this Golden Week is the last chance to see the scenery without a bridge.
If you're coming close to this Golden Week, why don't you go to Kachidoki and see the scenery of Tokyo Tower and the bridge?
