◆ Searching Animals at Tsukiji Honganji Temple

[Sumida Fireworks] Nov. 15, 2017 09:00

Mitsuaki Iwago is known for his animal photography.

The other day, a cat shot by Mr. Iwai went to see a movie of "Walking around the World Cat" in which the leading role is. When Iwaai shot an ordinary cat that seems to be around there, it was reflected on the screen more cute than the real thing, and I was very healed when I saw it.

I like cats. When I saw a movie, I wanted to see a cat. 。 。

In such a case, there are places where I always want to go. Tsukiji Honganji is close to Tsukiji Market.

Tsukiji Honganji is known for its many animals. Earlier, I introduced it in a blog post in the fall of 2014.

An article in the fall of 2014 ⇒ Search for animals at Tsukiji Honganji Temple

The building of Tsukiji Honganji Temple was designated as an Important Cultural Property in the winter of 2014. Chuta Ito, who designed this building, was interested in monster animals, and it is said that many animals are set up inside and outside the building.

Recently, it has been widely introduced in main hall.

If you look for it as introduced, you can easily find animals. But there are animals that struggle to find them in this Tsukiji Honganji temple.

When I wrote a blog post for the fall of 2014, cat-chan I met for the first time. I made it appear in that article. This cat is very friendly and is popular with tourists.

s_hanabi53-3.jpg

When I was squatting and waiting for me to come, it was a cute cat who came close slowly and posed properly. I'm sure there are a lot of names, so I've never heard of them.

Every time I came to Tsukiji Honganji, I began to look for this cat. I can't find it easily, but I'm very happy when I meet you.

s_hanabi53-4.jpg

But I haven't seen you lately.

This year, major construction has been underway on the precincts, but this spring before the construction began in full swing, this cat came near and it was charming enough to expose my stomach to the back.

I haven't seen it since then.

Did the territory be roughened during the construction and the place to stay disappeared? Maybe you've changed the territory?

But when I last met, I feel like I was wearing a collar, so I'm kind to someone?

Maybe I just didn't happen to meet you.

I think a lot of things.

In any case, animals that don't know what cats are thinking about. I think that such a whimish personality is probably the reason why I love cats.

s_hanabi53-5.jpg

The scenery of the precincts of Tsukiji Honganji Temple has changed greatly this year.

s_hanabi53-6.jpg

Tsukiji Honganji Temple originated as a separate temple of Nishi Honganji Temple and was built around the current Nihonbashi Yokoyama-cho. This year is just 400 years since then, and it is a milestone year.

It was in 1934 that the main hall of the current important cultural property of Tsukiji Honganji was built. The construction of the precincts was carried out in the form of the design philosophy at the beginning of the construction, and it was very beautiful.

s_hanabi53-7.jpg

The entrance of the car has changed, the entrance for people flowing from the Tsukiji Market has been added, and various historical sites that have been at the edge have been moved to the side of the walking path ..., etc.

I feel that it has become a space that is easy to enter, taking into account the safety of worshipers and tourists.

On the other hand, a glass-walled building that is unlikely to be a temple facility has been completed. It seems to be called the Information Center, and it opened recently. I haven't entered yet, but it seems that there are some shops such as cafes and bookstores, and it is a space where you can relax.

s_hanabi53-8.jpg

It's getting chilly, isn't it?

I think there are many people who are planning to go to Hamarikyu to see the autumn leaves, and those who plan to visit Tsukiji Market by the end of the year. In that case, I would like you to stop by Tsukiji Honganji Temple, which has changed drastically toward the next new era, and experience this temple.

And if you look for various animals at the temple, and if you see a cat on the precincts, I hope everyone will watch it with gentle eyes.

◆ I went to Ginzasix.

[Sumida Fireworks] Nov. 1, 2017 18:00

Monday, the twenty-third. The typhoon hit the Kanto region last night, but it will be clear from now on. I walked on Ginza Street on weekdays for the first time in a long time.

Ginza Street is a typical street in Japan. From Kyobashi to Shimbashi, it runs through the streets of Ginza from 1-chome to 8-chome.

(2016 Rio Olympics Triumphal Parade)

Needless to say, it is a very beautiful cityscape, and its well-balanced landscape feels like being conscious of the "vertical line".

I thought that this spring, a building with a "horizontal line" appeared as if a new wind was blowing into Ginza Street. It is "GINZA SIX" built on the site of Ginza Matsuzakaya, Ginza 6-chome.

Even now, I went to this "GINZA SIX" for the first time.

s_hanabi52-2.jpg

I came without any information, so I got a guide map at the entrance for the time being.

In the guide map, there are horizontal alphabet shops lined up in a row, which makes you feel amazing. Looking inside from the entrance, I felt that the atmosphere was much more luxurious than I had imagined.

When I entered with a nervous feeling that I came to a place a little out of place, I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of this department store, and as I first came to the department store as a child, I got on the escalator in front of me. I go upstairs more and more upstairs without going downstairs on the way. In a different sense, no, literally, it became a climber.

In the center, a luxuriously huge atrium is created, and the walls are designed like grids and diagonal lines are often used. It's a very high quality.

s_hanabi52-3.jpg

Given this atmosphere, it may not be appropriate to call this commercial facility a "department store" in the first place. But I don't know what to call it, so I'll call it a "department store" here.

Speaking of department stores, after all, the rooftop. If you look at the map, there is also a rooftop in this department store. The pictures of Tokyo Tower and the Sky Tree are written, so it must be seen from the rooftop.

When I was a child, the rooftop of the department store was Wonderland. The only memory of going to a department store is the memory of going to the rooftop. If this is the case, it seems that it will probably go straight to the rooftop today.

But the escalator ends on the 6th floor. The upper floor is an office floor, and it seems that you have to use an elevator from here to get to the rooftop.

I walked a little on the 6th floor. The scent of coffee drifting in a bookstore with a calm atmosphere. And above all, it's bright. I felt on a very attractive floor. It was a luxurious space like saying that when you come to a bookstore, you will stay long, but you should stay long.

Take advantage of the temptation to stay for a long time here, get on the elevator and go to the rooftop.

s_hanabi52-4.jpg

On the rooftop, quite large trees were planted, and I was surprised that there was a lot of greenery. It seems to be called "rooftop garden". It is a rooftop with an adult feeling like Ginza. In addition, it is also possible to tour around the square building so that you can see 360 degrees.

Today it was a typhoon, so I was able to see it beautifully far away. The Tokyo Tower and the Sky Tree can be easily found.

s_hanabi52-5.jpg

If you come to Ginza for a trip from a distance, I would like to see Tokyo Tower and Sky Tree, but if you don't have time to see it, it might be better to come here.

There is also a shrine on this roof. "Kakugo Inari Shrine" was also located in Matsuzakaya. It is one of the shrines of Ginza Hatcho Shrine.

s_hanabi52-6.jpg

Visit Ginza Hatcho Shrine. I've always wanted to go around for a long time, but I haven't experienced it yet. This year is from Wednesday, November 1 to 3 (holiday). Will you be able to go this year? I think it's probably a great event to walk around the city of Ginza.

Well, what should I do from now on? Yes, the department store is under Depa. Looking at the map, it seems that this department store also has a depa basement.

Oh~~~. It is written as "Oginoya". The kettle of the Yokokawa pass. I miss you very much. I really like the glasses bridge at Usui Pass, and I went there many times. And it was usual to eat kettles. I'm sure the autumn leaves are beautiful now.

In the city of Ginza, successful shops in rural areas and cities around the world will open with dreams. There are several shops that I like, but I would like to support this "Oginoya" as well. Above all, I was very happy that there was a shop that I knew in this "GINZA SIX". I would like to go underground and stop by immediately.
