This time, I would like to introduce the retro tofu shop "Takayanagi Tofu Shop" in Ningyocho.
I entered the alley on the way from the intersection of amazake Yokocho toward Tokyo Metro Suitengumae Station.
Founded in 1927, it is a long-established store that has been running for four generations to date.
The exterior is a retro copper-plated signboard construction (*) with a taste, and there is no plan to rebuild it at this time.
(*) Architectural style often seen during the reconstruction period following the Great Kanto Earthquake. The feature is that the front of the building is flat, and it is finished with a copper plate from the viewpoint of fire prevention.
The tofu shop is early in the morning, and for customers who come to buy tofu for breakfast, we open a shop around 5:00 in the early morning and start making tofu. According to the shop owner, "In the past, a nearby public bath was opened around 2 o'clock in the middle of the night when the business was closed."
There are about 30 types of tofu to be sold, such as Kinu tofu, Momen tofu, fried tofu, edama tofu with green soybeans, and sesame tofu with sesame. It seems that there are many customers who want tastes that are not available at supermarkets and convenience stores.
A long-established specialty store is still alive in Chuo-ku. Why don't you enjoy the special taste of the specialty store?

This time, I would like to introduce the jogging course in Chuo-ku.
As soon as possible, what is the ideal jogging course?
I think there are some things such as no traffic lights, no stairs, good scenery, and a public bath nearby.
When I searched for a place that satisfies such conditions in Chuo-ku, I think that Sumida River Terrace is the best.
Among them, the recommended section is about 2 km one way from the north side of Eitai Bridge to the south side of Ryogoku Bridge.
This section has few ups and downs, and you can run from the start while watching the Tokyo Sky Tree.
In addition, there are many ships running on the Sumida River, so if you are lucky enough to find a ship that fits your own pace, you can replace it with a pacemaker.
After jogging, why not sweat at the Ningyocho public bath "World Yu" and then drink a light cup in the neighborhood of Ningyocho, which is crowded with famous shops?

On the street near the amazake Yokocho intersection in Ningyocho, there is a grandmother who is peddling homemade vegetables and food.
85 years old To Yosan, who runs a farmhouse in Abiko, Chiba Prefecture. Toyosan's mother was also doing peddling in Ningyocho, and he seems to have been doing peddling in Ningyocho for about 50 years.
Currently, we peddling about twice a week (closed on rainy days), and the time is from around 6:30 am to after noon. "In the morning, if you're 60 years old, you'll drive me so far. Most of the vegetables brought will be sold out until afternoon, so take a vacant train around 2:00 pm to return to Abiko slowly. "
"Most customers are regulars who choose their own vegetables and leave their money. At this time, tomatoes have a reputation for being sweet and delicious, and they sold out early today. In the past, there were a lot of people doing peddling and there were even dedicated trains, but now it is almost gone. I'm a good year, so I can stop at any time, but there are customers who are looking forward to coming. Everyone in Ningyocho, including the chairman of the town, is continuing because people are good. "
Please stay fine and come to Ningyocho.

There is a sumo room called Arashio Room, a 2-3-minute walk from Hamacho Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. There are many sumo rooms in Sumida-ku and Koto-ku on the opposite bank of the Sumida River, but only the Arashio room in our Chuo-ku. That's why I want to support you. In fact, shortly after the war, Hamacho had a temporary Kokugikan in Hamacho Park, where the main place for sumo wrestling was held. It's a land with a connection to sumo wrestling.
Besides, the Arashio room is very open. In other sumo rooms, you will often not be able to observe the rehearsals unless you apply in advance, but you can freely visit the Arashio room through a large window for the tour. Practice is from around 6:30 in the morning to around 10:00. Rehearsals are irregular, but the sweet scent of albaked oil and a signal that many bicycles stopped in front of the room are being practiced. If you want to know if you have any lessons in advance, you can also contact us by phone the evening before (16:00 to 20:00).
One of the features of the Arashio room is that the homepage is substantial. The world of sumo wrestling, which has many mysterious things to the general public, is the Arashio room homepage http://www.arashio.net/
If you look at it, you can see everything from how to get started, to the profile of your wrestler and the latest situation.
The narrow road in front of the room is always full of foreign tourists and hot mummun. When I heard from several people, I was a tourist from Switzerland and France, and I was taught at the inn and learned about the Arashio room. If you look at the Arashio room's homepage, you will be guided carefully in English about training tours.
Soon, the May Sumo Tournament will celebrate its first day at Ryogoku Kokugikan. If you create your favorite room or sumo wrestler, you will enjoy watching sumo wrestling even more.
