Shiko Munakata Exhibition

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] July 14, 2016 16:00

On the 6th floor of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, "-Tenoi no sewing-Shiko Munakata Exhibition" is held.

Speaking of Shiko Munakata, I remember the ten great disciples and the beautiful Kannon-sama, my black eyes are always large.
Certainly, it is an impressive and memorable painter that the word "Wadaba, become Van Gogh" was spoken on TV.
Looking at the chronological table, it seems that I thought so when I was 18 years old.

The theme of the work is the exploration of the Buddhist world, and a wide range of calligraphy that was displayed at the exhibition.
There was something drawn with a powerful brushwork called "truth". Through the touch of a chisel while always pursuing the truth
I think he was talking about it.

This time, unlike ordinary exhibitions, the scope of coverage is wide, focusing on prints and Japanese-e works in their late 40s and 50s.
There are 70 points. It is on display until July 19.

Art Nouveau decorative porcelain famous kiln in Western Europe

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] July 12, 2016 16:00

France's Ransai, Denmark, Sweden, and Germany exhibited at the Paris World Exposition in 1889 and 1900.
A collection of decorative porcelain works and works with the atmosphere of Art Nouveau, whose influence has been transmitted to Japan.
It is exhibited at the Mitsui Memorial Museum in Nihonbashi.

Porcelain is fired at about 1300 ° C using clay, quartz, and pebble as raw materials.
One of the features is that if you hit it lightly, you will have a metal sound.
I think European magnetism has historically been greatly influenced by Asian technology, and what is on display are the ones on display.
Savre, Royal Copenhagen, KPM Berlin, Bing Grendale, Meissen,
I thought it was a roast land, and it was a unique gem that reminds me of each country.
A dignified vase with a flower motif, a design that gives dreams, tableware with many natural flora and fauna, etc.
There was also a pattern that took the subject from the Hokusai manga, and we had a pleasant time.

In addition, there is Art Nouveau by Kozan Miyagawa, who is famous for his superb technique, and says that he will challenge everything of the master.
I felt the atmosphere.

It is on display until August 31.
