Kanda festival is coming

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] May 5, 2017 12:00

At the Kanda Festival, a lively Hale festival comes after the end of Golden Week, and I am not an Edo kid, but I look back once again.

Kanda Myojin was founded about 1300 years ago in Tenpyo 2 (730), near Masakadozuka, Otemachi near the present Imperial Palace. Later, in 1616, the year of Ieyasu Tokugawa's death, he was transferred to Sotokanda, the current location of the castle's Omote unlucky direction, to expand Edo Castle.

Kanda Myojin is now famous as the guardian god of the 108 town associations in Chuo-ku, Chiyoda-ku, and Kanda Festival is one of Japan's three major festivals.

It is said that during the Edo period, the festival was allowed to enter Edo Castle (Imperial Palace).

This 5/13 is called the Shinko Festival, with a portable shrine (Daikoku-sama, Ebisu-sama, Masakado-sama) and a procession of era picture scrolls depart from Kanda-jinja Shrine, Ochanomizu, Otemachi, Akihabara, Higashinihombashi (lunch break), and go back to Kanda-jingu, Mitsukoshi-mae, My-dori.
→May 13 In the evening of Chuo-dori, there is no doubt that a towing called "Otsuki Matsuri" will join together (a large catfish, a large upholstery of Hanasaki-san in 2015) to further delight the eyes.

The Kanda Festival, which is displayed on the first floor of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, is also dancing for some reason.
Passing by spring, it's like summer, everyone, please stay in good condition.
