It was said that the design at the top of the monument was based on an illustration of the "Edo Famous Zoukai" published in the Edo period (Honmachi Pharmaceutical Shop).

Nihonbashi Honmachi is an area where drug wholesalers have gathered and developed since the Edo period, and many pharmaceutical companies are still gathering.

Here in Nihonbashi-Honmachi area, the god of medicine, Yaku ancestor patron, is enshrined in Fukutoku no Mori at Muromachi 2-chome, and you can visit in hope of sound health and other places. On December 3rd (Sun), the annual “mochi-tsuki tournament” was held again this year by the Nihonbashi Sannobe Town Association. . The 9th Kimball Sports World Cup 2017 Tokyo Games were held at Chuo Ward Sports Center from October 30 (Mon) to November 5 (Sun). This tournament is held every other year, but it was the first World Cup in Asia, with athletes from 13 countries and regions from Asia, Canada, and Europe.

At Sugimori Shrine, "Tomizuka prayer festival" was held at 10:03 ("Tomi") on September 2 (Saturday), the day of the lottery.

Tomizuka was erected in 1920, but collapsed due to the Great Kanto Earthquake. Later, the people of shrine parishioner recruited volunteers and rebuilt in 1953 was Tomizuka today. Also, in the story of the fifth generation teacher Kosan Yanagiya, "Yukiya no Tomi," it is said that the location of Sugimori Shrine and the inn is Bakurocho (there is a story set in Yushima Tenjin).　Today, many people seem to pray for their hearts at Tomizuka at our shrine as the ancestor of the lottery.

"Summer Festival 2017" was held at Hamacho Park on August 20 (Sun). The name was changed from the "All Japan Tug of War Festival" until last year, and the "Tug of War Tournament" at the General Sports Center and the "Stall Village" outdoors were held at the same time.

The All Japan Tug of War Tournament was attended by 32 teams, and the competition was held. Outside, there were tents of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association on the left side of the park entrance, and on the stage in the center, there were various entertainments such as band performances, songs, and practical skills and explanations by the Kendama Association.

In the Yatai Village, including the Ningyocho Shopping Street Cooperative, the local Arashio room chanko, Fujinomiya Yakisoba, beer and yakitori were also sold, and it was popular with queues.

In the "All Japan Tug of War Tournament", in the morning, the qualifying league by block was competed in 6 blocks consisting of 1 junior youth section, 2 general section, and 3 championship section, followed by the final tournament competition in the afternoon. At the award ceremony, the sightseeing ambassador of Chuo-ku, Miss Chuo also appeared and added flowers.
