Finally, on the Sumida River Terrace near Aioi Bridge, where I introduced Iso brown-eared bulbul the other day! I found a male daurian redstart. Since I found daurian redstart female here near Aioi Bridge on November 3, last year, I have been looking forward to seeing no males.
Here's
daurian redstart female
Male daurian redstart
Joubitaki is a winter bird that comes to Japan for wintering from the breeding grounds of Mongolia and northeastern China. Outside of the breeding season, there is a strong sense of territory, so unlike waterbird ducks where male and female act together and small bird hakusekirei, each male and female act independently.
The male face is black, the head is silver, the chest is orange, the back is patterned like a cloak, and the wings are accented with white accents. If you look closely at the chic outfit in the distance, it is quite fashionable. Since you usually act alone, did you do your best in case of emergency? ?
It is difficult to observe and shoot small birds, but when I looked at them gently, they came nearby.
Take a walk on the Sumida River terrace where you can relax and see Mr. daurian redstart's stand in the calm winter sunshine.

Published on January 14, dimini ☆Here are some birds that can be seen near the "Sea House Ruins and Planting" where Mr. Cricket was guided.
In the bird book, Iso brown-eared bulbul is often classified as a blue bird.

There is a stone monument at the site of the Kaikaikan behind this dike, and there is a planting. If you cross the embankment, you will find the Sumida River Terrace at Aioi Bridge.
In Japan, the Iso brown-eared bulbul is a resident bird that can be seen all year round, and as its name suggests, it can be found on the cliffs and rocks of the coast and on the concrete dike.
On the other hand, in the world, it is widely distributed in Africa and Eurasian Continent, but it is a bird that lives in the rocky areas of alpine at an altitude of 2,000m to 4,000m.
Male
When you encounter this blueness of a male, you will be surprised. The chest is dark brick. This color will be a protective color in rocky areas of mountains and seas. In the city, the rusted color of iron is the best match. Perhaps because of this, in recent years Japan, it has become inhabited in urban areas.
Female
Iso brown-eared bulbul lives powerfully in the land where literary people from the late Meiji and Taisho eras stayed and produced masterpieces.

This year, the first year of correspondent, the landlady of Oguroya in Tsukishima Nishinakadori Shopping Street 2nd Street I wanted to introduce first. Nearly six months with the shutter closed. When I asked the neighboring Monjaya shop, he said he was hospitalized. I thought I would like to see you again, but today on the 29th, there is a fine figure at the storefront. I'd like to hear from you right away. Then I heard an unexpected story. It is said that the Daikokuya area will be evacuated in January next year due to redevelopment, and a high-rise tower apartment will be built.
The shopping streets around 2nd Avenue will disappear.
In the second street, there is a particular signboard architecture designed by Machiya for the flow of westernization and non-combustibility from the Taisho era to the Showa era.
At the beginning of the store, a cake shop that advertised that he was making Momoe Yamaguchi's birthday cake at Kokubunji before the relocation, and a butcher shop with a nostalgic style of the pedestal tiles of the showcase, the new store was not clear, Everyone has a heavy mouth.
These alleys and shops with cluttered products were also popular for TV coverage.
After living in Tsukuda for 15 years, I finally realized the warmth of shopping in the shopping street and a delicious dish. The landlady of Oguroya has been married for 60 years. The tubs and squares that have been around since then. An old cash register, a five-ball abacus, a black phone and radio. It seems that all of them are still active. The flower beans cooked by the landlady are exquisite with moderate sweetness! I have to call out because I'm not in a big line.
I want you to meet all such things again! I can't help but do that. I was sent to the landlady's smile and left Nishinaka-dori Shopping Street 2nd Avenue.
While there is a shopkeeper's poster everywhere, is it full of January to keep this scenery in your eyes?

In 2017, the beginning of the gentle New Year, seven canoes to enjoy the first sunrise will go down the Sumida River slowly. This year, only the Rooster Year, I renewed my desire to bring the charm of wild birds in Chuo-ku more than last year.
At 1:00 pm, the first walk of the new year! !I met common kingfisher. The place is the Sumida River Terrace, Ishikawajima Park, a fixed-point observation site of Usako in Tsukuda. I checked it last December, but I couldn't take it in the photo and did not report it.
common kingfisher is so beautiful that it is written as "Jade" in a mountain stream jewel or kanji, and it is a very popular bird as a subject that jumps vertically into the surface to feed.
I thought I was in the mountain stream, but surprisingly it appeared in the ponds and towns of the park, and when I looked it up, Hibiya Park and Shinjuku Gyoen are popular spots like Mecca. And someday, someday, I hoped that it would be here at Ishikawajima Park in Chuo-ku. That came true on New Year's Day in 2017. The beak is black and the lower beak is red, so today's common kingfisher is male, and I was able to distinguish it at the moment I saw it thanks to the previous survey. It's common kingfisher that I longed for.
The tide is very important for birdwatching on the Sumida River Terrace, Ishikawajima Park. This is because the type of wild birds that come together is different depending on the water level. Today's New Year's Day low tide is 1:00 p.m., feeding hunting would be convenient for common kingfisher. Looking at it, I dive twice, but I couldn't go to hunting. By the way, Indian spot-billed duck on the Ukishima Island, northern pintail, mallard, green-winged teal and the mid-high tides come to the park just in the middle of low tide and high tide. I love breakfast with algae shaking in the water.
This year, the day starts with checking the tide and ebbing time, and from this year, jumps out of the Sumida River Terrace of Ishikawajima Park and the whole Chuo-ku! I'd like to walk around birdwatching. And I hope there will be a day to guide you on the birdwatching course.
