Silver accessories “komainu Netsuki Charm” made from pure silver clay PMC @ Hama House

[Edamame] June 18, 2018 09:00

This is Edamame, a correspondent with children.

Nowadays, I often participate in events at the neighborhood of my home, Hama House.

/archive/2018/06/-2hama-house.html

We also participated in a wonderful event this time.

That's ...

"Silver accessory" komainu rooted charm made from pure silver clay PMC.

DSC_3218-1.jpg※The photo is a sample made by a professional teacher.

・・・ Actually, Edamame, art and drawing classes are super and clumsy humans who take points only with normal points.

Making accessories ... I'm interested, but can I really do it?

And it's a child.

When I asked in advance with courage, "Is it OK to participate with children?"

"There are scenes where you use hot plates, so it's okay if you just be careful not to put your hands at that time."

I will do my best to show my daughter Azuki (I am 3 years old) ... ! !! I've been participating with enthusiasm.

DSC_3186-1.jpg

Mr. Arakawa of Mitsubishi Materials Trading was the lecturer.

Mitsubishi Materials Trading is a company that mainly deals with corporate-to-company transactions and handles various metal parts, but this workshop was held due to the fact that its headquarters is located in the nearby office building Nihonbashihamacho F Tower.

First of all, there are tools to use this time on the desk.

DSC_3187-1.jpg

It is "kneaded out" along with pure silver clay that is tightly packed.

? ? ? I thought there was a reason for this.

In fact, "pure silver clay (PMC)" used this time.

It is a material that is easy to dry.

So, there is a fear that if you handle pure silver clay while explaining the procedure with a bumping performance, it will be dried quickly and unusable.

Therefore, first of all, we practice while listening to the explanation of the procedure using kneading!

DSC_3191-1.jpg

At this point, if you try to draw the same line many times just because it doesn't work.

On the contrary, it will not be beautiful ... after learning something experientially

Finally, the performance!

DSC_3194-1.jpg

Super to prevent the drying of clay! I was working intensively at once, so I can't leave a photo of the progress ...

I feel that the hand-kneading has become a shape in pure silver clay, which is slightly softer than kneading.

・・But it's like a cat. Rather than a dog.

※After it was completed, isn't it like a dog at the position and angle where the ears can be heard?

That's the story. ・I see. I'll be careful from the next time.

By the way, the behavior of the daughter Azuki during "I'm working at once".

Hama House is a book cafe, so there are many picture books for small children.

You can buy the book here and, of course, you can read it freely in the store.

DSC_2696-1.jpg

Azuki's favorite picture book was there, so I always brought the book and read it again.

Mr. A, the person in charge of Hama House, also helped me put in and out the book, so my mother Edamame was in the "Working at once."

Thank you to Mr. A.

I'm working at once, and I'm waiting for you when you're done!

DSC_3195-1.jpg

After all, the head office is located in the nearby office building "Sky Gate", which contains baked goods from KEYUCA, a miscellaneous goods brand, and supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, etc. It comes with baked goods from Patisserie Isozaki, which is located in "Tornale".

Both are delicious and chewy, but first of all, what is "pure silver clay (PMC)" in the first place? That's a story.

DSC_3197-1.jpg

PMC stands for Precious Metal Clay.

In the case of pure silver clay, "silver", "water" and "glue (binding agent)" are evenly mixed.

Because you can freely make shapes, you can make your own rings and original accessories, and challenge anything with the ingenuity of the creator.

http://www.mmtc.co.jp/pmc/how_to_make.html

↑On this "PMC" introduction page, we are releasing the process of creating works in the video.

He also talked about why it is related to Suitengu and dogs.

Dogs are a symbol of safe delivery. So a lot of pregnant women come to Suitengu on the day of the dog.

Since it was done on this land, it seems that the subject was chosen first because it was related to the land ...

By the way, as I mentioned earlier, "pure silver clay" made of "silver", "water" and "glue (coupling agent)".

The next step for this to be "silver" is "dry".

Here, the "water" in the clay is skipped to make it only "silver" and "glue (coupling agent)".

At home, there is a way to dry naturally or use a dryer over a day.

DSC_3201-1.jpg

This time, I will use the hot plate.

It's not good if it's a picture (I'm sorry)

If you look closely, you'll have a steam with me!

I wish steam could get out of the works.

Finally, it's "firing".

Here, the components of "glue (coupling agent)" fly, and only "silver" is in a state.

DSC_3208-1.jpg

This time I used a furnace in this shape, but in fact it can be made at home.

DSC_3205-1.jpg

It seems that there are pot-type furnaces that use solid fuel for beginners, and some can be easily done.

It seems that it is recommended because it is not difficult to control the temperature if you use solid fuel (which is often used to make small pots squeeze when eating at a ryokan).

That's right. Silver melts at more than 960 degrees, so we have to avoid it further.

Well, it's finished.

DSC_3209-1.jpg

""...white!" !」 」」

Even though it should be only "silver", everyone is surprised and surprised.

DSC_3210-1.jpg

By the way, the outside was bordered at the time of the original clay.

Can you tell me that it will be so small? ?

After baking, it is about 90% of the original size.

Well, that.

DSC_3211-1.jpg

First of all, with a hard hair brush.

Then. It is polished and silver comes out!

I was a little impressed.

By the way, perhaps azuki is

"From white to silver! This must be a magic stick! "

After that, the brush was fripped and said, "Henshin !!"

Don't rush into the sense that the transformation is radish or carrots.

After that, finish it and add root.

The color of the root is azuki select.

(Some of them were cute pastel colors, but they were golden.)

DSC_3217-1.jpg

This is complete!

I think it was good that I was able to work happily while being clumsy.

And it was interesting to see a little bit of the world of pure silver clay that I didn't know at all.

There are also elements of science experiments, so I thought it was a material that could be used for free study during summer vacation for elementary school students.

(In fact, there are cases where classes dealing with pure silver clay nationwide hold classes for elementary school students during summer vacation.)

Hama House is also considering a pure silver clay workshop with a different subject in the future.

I'm looking forward to that opportunity!

Kabuki / Kabukokko #2 starting with a baby "Let's eat Kumatori Om Rice!" @Hama House

[Edamame] June 6, 2018 18:00

This is Edamame, a correspondent with children.

Kabuki introductory event "Kabukokko" for parents and children at Hama House held in April.

(Click here for the article at that time → /archive/2018/04/hamahouse-1.html)

The second installment was also held at Hama House.

Title: "Let's eat Kumatori omelet rice!"

"Kumatori?"

It's a traditional kabuki makeup.

Speaking of which ...

Character of Chuo-ku Tourism Certification

Also on the face of "Tenharu Senta-kun"

DSC_3129-1.jpg

I have Kumatori.

But what is the first place in the first place? ? ?

Lecturer is Ayu Seki, a Kabuki writer, the same as last time, and is performed on the stage himself.

DSC_3105-1.jpg

Daughter, you grew up again in less than two months.

(When baby food was three times, I really remember that it was hard ...)

At the beginning of the meeting, first explain "Kumatori".

Kumatori is a way of makeup that expresses "feeling of anger" and "force".

Ylla ←In modern times, this mark is often used to express "anger".

DSC_3109-1.jpg

I think it expresses how blood vessels emerge.

It's surprising that Kumatori is actually the same.

Expressing the muscles uplifting when angry with makeup in an easy-to-understand manner ...

DSC_3110-1.jpg

It's like this

DSC_3112-1.jpg

My eyebrows are a bit moky

If you try it somehow, it may be a very modern expression! That's what I think.

And what surprised me was that "how Kumatori draws varies from person to person."

It seems that the way Kumatori draws is slightly different depending on the actor.

It seems that actors can see "Oh, this is ◎◎" just by looking at the picture of Kumatori.

When you actually see the stage, it's a point to check it out.

Well, finally.

This is the appearance of Hama House's special omelet!

DSC_3113-1.jpg

Omurice with a plain face made of seaweed.

Let's draw your own "Kumatori" with ketchup! ! That's right.

Kumatori expresses "vitrance".

So don't tracing an example of something,

Let's express your own "anger" and " momentum"! That's why.

Certainly, "Kabuki" is "tilt".

It's not a straight "noth";

It's a little outlaw or a figure that is said to be "changed".

It's an expression of the free expression of that era.

My daughter Azuki (soon 3 years old) gave me a plate.

If you give it with ketchup...

DSC_3117-1.jpg

Yeah, in many ways, "I'm inclined."

(I guess the bottle's ketchup was almost taken out (a big sweat))

For adults, too.

DSC_3119-1.jpg

DSC_3120-1.jpg

Each one is different and interesting!

Kabuki is the original form of freedom that is not "this must be done".

It was the corner of everyone's omurice, where the essence was living somewhere.

Of course, this omelet was delicious together.

When I'm full with a chat

This time, make the mask of Kumatori!

(Same as last time, it was done by illustrator Akane Uraitani.)

DSC_3121-1.jpg

Red Kumatori is common, isn't it?

The ally of justice is also often red.

DSC_3123-1.jpg

The blue Kumatori is the image of "vicious" and "cold blood character".

DSC_3127-2.jpg

It seems that brown is used to express "non-human".

I didn't know the existence of blue or brown Kumatori, so I learned a lot.

・・Well, while there is such a story,

Again, it's "Kabuki is tilted."

Let's make your own Kumatori mask.

Azuki, I'm trying to make Kumatori masks!

DSC_3124-1.jpg

At first, I was looking at the example, and my mother Edamame guided ...

After all, I wanted to do it myself, "Ah-chan!"

DSC_3126-1.jpg

The face of a pop justice hero, "tilted," has been completed.

Adults, too.

DSC_3127-1.jpg

Colorful and vivid Kumatori is finished!

Colors other than red (red) and black are used as pigments for makeup in the Edo period.

If there was, perhaps the Kumatori of such a face

It may have been handed down as a "tradition".

I loved to introduce new things in "tilt"

If you are a Kabuki actor from the Edo period

I had imagined that I was doing that.

So it was 90 minutes in a flash.

A valuable time where you can touch Kabuki as a casual and familiar thing without thinking hard.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again.
