Tokyo Minato matsuri

[saru] June 7, 2017 14:00

Hello, my name is Saru.

May 28 I went to Tokyo Minato matsuri, which was held at Harumi's passenger ship terminal.

Take the Edo bus and get off at Harumi 3-chome and walk while watching the construction site of the Olympic Athlete Village in 12 or 3 minutes to the venue.

At 10:30, we arrived at 9:40 as early as possible to watch the “Firefighting Pageant of Water” by the Tokyo Fire Department, which started at 10:30, but quite a few customers have already received it....。 But I was able to keep this position.

The curtain of the pageant has risen from the parade of the little children of the boy fire brigade in Kyobashi, Nihonbashi, and harbor in Chuo-ku.

And the protagonist of this event is the appearance of eight fire boats and three helicopters.

The simultaneous water discharge of the fire boat was very beautiful and powerful like a fountain blowing up from the sea.

In the exhibition training, there was a rescue from the helicopter, and the explosive sound that went up close was impressive.

It seems that Japan's water firefighting began with the donation of a fire boat to the Kyobashi Fire Station Tsukiji Branch Office in 1936, and Chuo-ku is closely related to the water firefighting. By the way, the nickname of the fire boat at this time, "Miyakodori", has been handed down to the name of the largest fire boat to which I belong now.

On the stage of the venue, the Fire and Disaster Management Agency Music Band performed, stalls lined up, and it was an event that both adults and children could enjoy by opening escort ships and dredging boats.
