Theatre of a stylish adult to enjoy in Ginza

[The cat on the slope] April 28, 2010 14:00

Chuo-ku, where many stage works have been born and nurtured.
While traditional performing arts continue to carve for many years, it has become a new work.
There are many places where you can touch it.
One of them is the Ginza Makoto Theater, created by Harold Pinter.
"Celebration Celebration Feast" directed by Kazuki Takase will be performed.

According to the officials, it is a stylish work that allows you to enjoy the new charm of Pinter.
During the consecutive holidays, she hides in a closed space a little away from the bustling Ginza main street.
While enjoying the sophisticated adult conversations that take place on the stage, play a theater street
I'd like to take care of it.

Date and time of performance: Wednesday, May 5 13:00 and 17:00

Theatre: Ginza Makoto Theater Map

Inquiries/tickets: Telephone 090-8117-1598 e-mail [email protected]

*If you apply by looking at the tourist association's website, the ticket will be reduced by 500 yen!

<Feast> (From the Flyer Commentary)

Premiered in 2000 with the production of Pinter himself. Set in a high-class restaurant in London, it depicts people like symbols of the bubble generation coming and going there. At first glance, light and humorous conversations flow out as if they were different from a series of pinter works. However, the world opposite to the world of restaurant customers who pursue only their immediate desires ... a pinter-like world is depicted on the other side. It is the mysteriousness of human beings, the power and significance of human memory, its significance, and a world that reminds us of something that we have lost.

Tea Club: Delicious golden tea during Golden Week

[The cat on the slope] April 23, 2010 16:31

One day, I was crazy about shopping outside Tsukiji. I suddenly felt thirsty.
"I'm still in the middle of shopping, and I'll take a break later. But I'd like to drink something.'
If you think about it, you will be surprised to see a delicious Japanese tea in front of you in a timely manner!
Thank you ~ I got a cup of Kuso and regained my energy and continued shopping.

If you've ever shopped outside, you're sure you're having the same experience. For you
At the Tsukiji Outer store, a long-established Japanese tea specialty store, Uogashi Meicha, you can hand out freshly baked tea and taste it.
I'll give you it. When I was tired of walking and moisturized my throat with a refreshing scent of tea in a small cup, I felt like a traveler who found an oasis in the desert.

When shopping is over, this time you want to sit down slowly and drink delicious tea.
Just a few minutes walk from Tsukiji Market, in a quiet space that is different from the crowd just before.
Let's introduce another oasis where you can enjoy tea.

At the tea room, Chano Ji Club, which opened 13 years ago as "the opportunity to enjoy delicious tea", Japanese tea (with hot water, teapot, and yuzamashi) and a set of sweets for 300 yen or 500 yen You can enjoy.

P4190263.JPG

This is 300 yen ... I'm surprised. It comes with hot water, so you can enjoy many cups slowly.
Looking at the menu, unique tea names such as "Shan", "Future" and "Nyu" are lined up.

Japanese tea version of espresso coffee extracted at high pressure, tea presso (100 yen ← not a type miss.) 100 yen instead of 1000 yen!) I'd like to try it.

The second floor is a Japanese-style interior.
The seats are spacious, so you can calm down.

P4220286.JPG

The third floor is a Western-style interior with an antique atmosphere.
The soft light inserted through the stained glass was wonderful.

You can teach you how to make delicious tea on the spot, so you don't have to worry about tea knowledge.
The Uogashi Meicha site introduces how to make delicious tea in a video.

On the first floor, in addition to tea leaves, tea utensils are also sold at concentric prices.
Let's feel free to ask the shop.

Various events are held every month
at the Tea Club. This is the 30th anniversary of the popular tea ceremony. This time (May 10 (Mon)-15 (Sat) 10-17: 00 per person 500 yen), in addition to new tea drinking comparison, interesting menus such as new tea tempura and new tea mochi are prepared .
At the tea ceremony party, limited tea with fun names such as "Kaze Makase" and "Osekai" is also sold.
Tea with a playful name seems to be a witting gift.

In addition, in Ginza, a tea run by Ogashi Meicha, which is the same as the Tea Club, a "
Kanga Shincha Party" will be held to celebrate the new year's new tea (May 1 (Sat)-3 (Mon) 11-18:00 yen per person dress code: new tea color, participants will receive new tea).

There are many kinds of tea. I'm always wondering which one to buy. It's nice to have a place where you can easily try various teas. Just in the new tea season, this year's GW holiday is full of Japanese tea and Golden Tea Week!
(Japanese tea is Green Tea in English, but it seems that the color of really delicious tea is golden.)

Promenade at the site of Kaikaikan and secret places

[The cat on the slope] April 12, 2010 16:23

From famous tourist spots such as Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine and Nishinaka-dori.

Perhaps because it's a bit far away, there are not many visitors, but

Along the revetment facing the Harumi Canal at Tsukuda 3-chome can be said to be a well-known promenade.

There is a monument to the site of the Kaikaikan. Kaikaikan was established in 1905.

This is the Kappo cuisine Ryokan. At that time, Tokyo Bay spread out in front of you, and you can see the mountains of Boso.

It was said that many cultural people stayed at Kaikaikan because it was a scenic place.

Toson Shimazaki's "Spring" and Kaoru Osanai's "Okawabata" are works born here.

"Let's see the winter sea and make the New Tsukuda Sea Water Museum wabi live."

(From Isamu Yoshii, songbook "Poison Utsugi")

And there is another highlight that is never listed in the guidebook.

Along the inside of the revetment, there are mini gardens as far as the eye can see.

Seasonal flowers are planted in each block.

It would be fun to walk while comparing it to the next block.

Use this kind of seawall, which is only a concrete fence, to enjoy the enjoyment of eco and horticulture.

What is it? It is a hat to the flexible ideas and aesthetics of the local people.

Night cherry blossoms at Hamarikyu

[The cat on the slope] April 6, 2010 08:45

This year's cherry blossom viewing was cold and there was a lot of rain ... the season is almost over ...

If you think about it, you can still enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms.

Recommended is the Hamarikyu Garden. This is a famous garden that has been introduced many times in the past on this blog.

During the cherry blossom season, the park is open at night for a limited time, and the cherry blossoms are lit up.

This year, Yoshino cherry tree will be lit up from April 1 (Thu) to 5 (Mon).

The Yae-zakura lights up from April 16 (Fri) to 20 (Tue).

(Admission time is from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm, light-up time is from sunset to 9:00 pm)

Waiting for the rain to rise, I went on the last day of the light-up in Yoshino cherry tree.

P4050253.JPG  P4050254.JPG

Bringing in alcoholic beverages and banquets are prohibited, but at the Ochiyaya on Nakajima in the park.

You can enjoy a set of matcha and Japanese sweets.

The lively cherry blossom viewing is also fun, but the Japanese garden has a calm atmosphere.

Why don't you enjoy the cherry blossoms at night while taking a leisurely stroll and take a break with matcha?
