The charm of Chuo-ku-ku-"Sumida River and Seine" ... ≪Knotting≫

[Shitamachi Tom] Nov. 12, 2011 08:30

I have expressed my thoughts on the charm of [Sumida River], one of the faces of Chuo-ku, while comparing it with [Seine] in Paris, a friendly river. This series will be the last one for the time being.motorsports

I think that each person enjoys the Sumida River. You can go back and forth in the river by boat, stroll along the riverside, or take pictures and taste the scenery. It has a depth that fits various scenes.

Since ancient times, many cities have developed along the flow of rivers. The main reason is that water transportation supported logistics, but there may be some instinctive parts of humans miss the waterside somewhere.note

Even in the town of Paris, people come together in Seine instead of him. I heard that there are many people who are relieved just by coming here and looking at the flow of water even if they have no purpose. When people gather, the story is born and the history is spun. One of the charms of the riverside is that the flower of culture opens.

One day, I saw a young father walking lightly along the Sumida River while pulling the hand of a small child. Family love is exaggerated, but it seemed a smile that memories were connected with the glow of the Sumida River.

In Seine, I saw an old couple sitting on a bench and enjoying a relaxing time while watching the boat going to the river. I missed the passing times and seemed to be checking the source of my heart in the unchanging flow of water.heart

The Sumida River Seine also flows without moving on rainy and sunny days, wrapping the culture, history and regret of the town. Even if it may look like an unknown face, it is safe to be there.

While writing this series, I was able to feel the charm of the [Sumida River], the face of Chuo-ku. Please love this river and love this town, too.

The last word. "If you go a boat, the moon is broken and the bottom of the night." moon3

The charm of Chuo-ku-ku-"Sumida River and Seine" ... 6 ≪Night View and Song≫

[Shitamachi Tom] Nov. 4, 2011 17:00

This is <Part 6> of a series that rediscovers the charm of Chuo-ku through comparison between the Sumida River and the friendship river Seine in Paris.

This time, let's get acquainted with "night view" and "singing".note

Night view of Seine jpg

Speaking of Paris, "Shanson" ... It fits well with the stylish and melancholy town scenery. Originally, it was said that a barn poet told the feelings of the general public on a song and walked. In other words, it shows development similar to Japan's enka ballad, the preaching section, and the new internal flow. Is it because there is such a background that Japanese people are attracted to their hearts with some nostalgic feelings?

Shanson, sung in the 1951 movie "Bari's Sky Under Seine Flows", became standardized thereafter. He sang Piaf and Eve Montan, and Fubuki Koshiji also sang.

"♪ The song under the sky of Paris is a song that grew in the hearts of the young people who flow in Lalara ..." The lyrics that series are interwoven with landscapes such as San Louis Island and Notre Dam, and just listen to it I can scratch it.shine

I'm sure there's a chanson playing here and there in Paris tonight. It looks even more similar to the night view of autumn.

On the other hand, the changes in the scenery from dusk to night in the Sumida River show a tasteful appearance. Standing on the bridge and watching the sunset is a rich time. <Photo: View Tsukuda Park from Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge>

And the song goes well again. The bright scenery of "Spring Urara Sumida River ..." appearing in Rentaro Taki's "Flowers" is also wonderful, but the stylish world when the sun falls and the lights of the town are lit is also hard to throw away.night

The famous "Meiji Ichiyo Woman" spells a bold love story at the time, saying, "♪ floating and floating on the banks of Hamacho and the embarrassment of willow ...". When Yoshicho was crowded as a flower district, there would have been various dramas.

201109 Tokyo Tower Night View_R.JPGIn addition, the lyrics of Kouta "Water River" read the flow of the Sumida River, where the summer dawns dawn, "The morning glory, which blooms white someday on a short night and blooms warmly ..."

The names of Eitai Bridge, Kiyosu Bridge, Shinohashi and bridges also appear one after another, deepening their emotions as if they were shaken by a boat going through the river.ship

Autumn is deepening, and it is a good season to think about various things. If you touch the night view of the Sumida River and cross the bridge while humming your favorite song, you may remember that you have forgotten it. <Lower photo: Looking at Tsukiji Market from Kachidokibashi>

Please enjoy this season.apple

Appare Nihonbashi! ・・ ・ Visit the Nihonbashi Festival, a famous autumn bridge.

[Shitamachi Tom] Nov. 2, 2011 08:30

On the last Sunday of October, the rain I was worried about was almost held during the day, and it was a pleasant autumn holiday.maple

2011.10.30 Nihonbashi_R.JPGOn this day, the “Chuo-ku Whole Museum” was held, and many people could see sightseeing and walking here and there in the city.

Above all, at [Nihonbashi], the "Nihonbashi Festival" was held, and it was very lively. It seems to be a milestone of the 100th anniversary since the current bridge was built, and the festive mood rises without hesitation.up

2011.10.30 In front of the Bank of Japan _R.JPGSince its construction in 1911, Nihonbashi has been watching Japan's growth. It was designated as a national important cultural property in 1999. It is a magnificent bridge with a Renaissance style. Until the end of last year, the Nihonbashi Cleaning Project has been cleaning up, and makeup has been corrected, and this day has just begun.

Since the Metropolitan Expressway covered the bridge in 2011.10.30 Nihonbashi River_R.JPG1963 as part of the urban development of the Tokyo Olympics, many people have missed their former appearance, but local elders said, `` At that time, the Olympic celebration mood was full, The expressway seemed to be a symbol of a new era. " In this era, I may have been able to afford to think about the problem of urban aesthetics.

Even so, [Nihonbashi] Appare has been showing its presence as a pride of the region for a long time! I was surrounded by the feeling of that.scissors

Until the end of next month, the Chuo-ku Tourism and Commerce Festival will continue to be held. Fun projects are being prepared mainly by department stores and shopping associations, and treasure hunting games are also being well received. Please take this opportunity to visit the fun spots in the city. present [Chuo-ku Shopping Street Federation 60th Anniversary "Treasure Hunting Game"]
