Beautiful town "Chuo-ku" (^-^v)

[Shitamachi Tom] May 30, 2012 17:00

Sunday, May 27 is "Clean Day" in Chuo-ku. Cleaning activities were carried out in each town for the purpose of beautification of the area.

This day was blessed with refreshing early summer weather, and I think that many people participated in the activities in each area.
I also participated in the local activities. This feels a bit shy, but it's nice to be clean in my town.

20120527 Clean Day (3) jpgWhat I think about participating in activities every year is that "Chuo-ku is a pretty beautiful town."

It doesn't mean that other towns are not, but I have never seen a sight of garbage scattered in any town in Chuo-ku. Probably, in each area, there are many people in their homes, businesses and shops, who are careful about the beautification around them. In addition, Nihonbashi, Kyobashi, Ginza, Tsukiji, Tsukishima ... each region has the pride of each region, and it seems that such an atmosphere is naturally created.

For those who come from outside, it will surely lead to a good impression that Chuo-ku is a beautiful and pleasant town.
If the appeal of urban design is added in addition to beautification, it will truly lead to the competitiveness of the city. In order for Chuo-ku to continue to be a wonderful town comparable to international cities in the world, I would like to continue creating a clean and wonderful town.

Let's cherish the beautiful town "Chuo-ku".

Kids wrestlers are very active ... "Wanpaku Sumo Tournament"

[Shitamachi Tom] May 21, 2012 08:30

The annual "Wanpaku Sumo Chuo-ku Tournament" was held on Sunday, May 20 at [General Sports Center] in Hamacho.

Wanpaku Sumo 201205-01_R.JPGEarly in the morning, the area near Hamacho Park was crowded with participating children, their parents, and local supporters. It seemed that not only the players themselves, but also the way of getting the power of their parents seemed to be transmitted.

At the beginning of the tournament, real wrestlers came from the Arashio room of the sumo wrestling, which is the only headquarters in Chuo-ku, received explanations with demonstrations such as rules, manners, and "bidden hands", checked notes, It is a good start of the game where everyone can do radio exercises well.

Wanpaku Sumo 201205-02_R.JPGThere are individual battles divided into men and women for each grade and team battles against schools in the afternoon, and the voltage of support increases in each. Mochiro games are important, but children will learn how to act neatly and fairly, whether they win or lose, and how to care for others through the game.

Some of the players were sorry for losing their regrets and tears. I want to sympathize, but there must be "lost and know". I just hope that children will be able to grow through various experiences.

Nevertheless, the eyes of the children who fell one step after the match and went home with their families were lively. The fulfillment of what we have worked hard will be better than anything.

We prayed that the children of Chuo-ku would grow up quickly and felt that we would like to support them.

By the way, the players who won the top position in this tournament will participate in the "Tokyo Block Tournament" scheduled to be held on June 23 as representatives of Chuo-ku. Beyond that, the national convention will be held in July. I would like to support you to achieve good results. "Wanpa Sumo National Convention"

I want to develop Chuo-ku as a town where local children can grow up honestly and healthy. Because these children are valuable human resources who will support the future region ...

The morning of the festival ... the festival of Ironsu Inari

[Shitamachi Tom] May 7, 2012 16:30

The festival season has come to Chuo-ku. In the midst of this major holiday, the annual festival of [Tetsugansu Inari Shrine] was held from 1st to 5th.

I visited the shrine on the morning of the first day. There was little sign of the festival yet, and some locals could be seen in the quiet precincts. From now on, I will gradually get excited and feel that I will continue to aim for "carrying of miniature shrines" and "Dedicated Children's Kabuki" in the second half.up

In the next park, a mikoshi of Miyamoto (Minato 1-chome, 2-chome town association) was enshrined in Kariya and could be seen waiting for the turn.

It is a fine portable shrine made in 1936, made by Gyotoku and the 15th Shukei Asako.
I'm sure you're proud of the town.diamond

Guangzhou Pamphlet jpgI received a brochure. I thought it was "Oh," because it was written as "Reitaisai festival in 2011", but there was a notice inside, "It was issued on March 6, last year, but the festival was postponed due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and it was stored. It will be reused to avoid wasting resources." I understand. Once again, the thoughts of the people involved in this year's festival have been conveyed.

Ancient figure of the gunshot. jpgAccording to tradition, the history of this shrine can be traced back to the Heian period. There were a number of changes, and in the early Edo period, it was transferred to a place close to the current location in 1624 (Kanei Gen). Looking at the old map at that time, it is certainly marked as "Inari" at a location slightly far from the current location. If you look at the sea from Inari Shrine, Edo Bay would have spread besides Tsukuda Island.yacht

In this era, this area was a place for unloading goods from the top and various places, and it was crowded with the religion of those who wished for the safety of shipping.

In the old figure above, [Inaribashi] is written near the shrine. Now a small stone pillar is left around the reclaimed moat. It was a time to touch such nostalgia, where you could hear the passage of boats and the cheers of people from the past.denim
