Hamarikyu Garden is from spring to summer

[Shitamachi Tom] April 21, 2014 16:00

Hamarikyu Garden is one of the most famous parks in Tokyo, but at this time, the "Hamarikyu Flower and Green Gathering" (until May 6) will be held, and residents of Chuo-ku will bring an admission numbered ticket It is a very good opportunity because you can enter for free.

Hamarikyu 201404 (2) jpgJust from April 19th (Sat) to 20th (Sun), an event called "Edo Bunkamura in Hamarikyu Garden" was held. It was sponsored by the Chuo-ku Shopping Street Federation, and also supported by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association. It is a plan to enjoy a beautiful holiday by touching food, play, and crafts while touching the emotions of the Edo period.

At the event venue, attractions were held, exhibition booths of famous stores were lined up, and many customers visited. A booth of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association was also set up, and a happy voice was heard at the corner where you could experience "Throwing Fan".

Hamarikyu 201404 (3) jpgIn the park, Satozakura is about to be watched, but the wisteria has begun to bloom, and the greenery of the trees has become even darker, and the scent of early summer seems to be filling at a stretch. Just this time, it is the transition from late spring to early summer, and while being wrapped in warm sunshine, sometimes chilly sea breezes flow from the sea, giving you a sense unique to this season.

A little more you will be able to enjoy hydrangea and Japanese iris too. It is a great place to enjoy the refreshing colors of this season.

The recommended walking course is to extend your legs to Ginza and Tsukiji on the way back and forth of Hamarikyu. One of the charms of Chuo-ku is that you can enjoy shopping and eating while wearing an urban atmosphere close to you after getting acquainted with the natural flowers.

It's been a good season! Please come and go out.

Chuo-ku Soba Journey ~ "Stylish Soba Cafe in Ginza"

[Shitamachi Tom] April 3, 2014 11:00

I like unmatched noodles, but I especially like "soba". Last year, I was able to qualify as "Edo Soba Rie" certified by the NPO Edo Soba Rie Association, so I'm more attracted to the appeal of soba today.

There are many popular soba shops in Chuo-ku, and the history and culture related to soba should remain in some places. From now on, I would like to visit such a soba culture in the city from now on and rediscover the charm with everyone.

naru0 (2). JPGToday, the first day, I would like to introduce the recently opened [Soba Listrante na-ru] in Higashiginza. It is a shop that has already been featured on TV programs. The stylish appearance is not very visible to a soba shop, but when you enter it inside, it is very comfortable and you can feel the sense of clean interior and furnishing.

A variety of creative dishes are wonderful, and sake is also carefully selected. When I consult, I will advise you on alcohol that goes well with the dishes. And you can enjoy soba in several kinds with Italian flavors. For example, I think it's strange that rich cheese goes well with soba, but this is also because the taste of the base soba is solid.

Of course, you don't have to leave the soba as it is. It is also recommended to eat a little olive oil on the soup stock.

Lunch time has also started in March. You can enjoy delicious soba and small bowls for about 1,000 yen.

Young and cool up-and-coming shopkeepers are working with a certain arm and an ambitious attitude. It is right next to [Kyobashi Plaza] where the [Chuo-ku Tourism Association] secretariat resides, so please drop in once. You may be able to find a new way to enjoy soba.
