Ningyocho Night Walk

[Shitamachi Tom] Nov. 24, 2017 12:00

This time, I would like to introduce the charm of Ningyocho.

As you know, this neighborhood has prospered as one of the best downtown areas in Edo Prefecture since the early Edo period. puppet ballad drama and kabuki huts and vaudeville were lined up to make the hustle and bustle.

In addition, it was a lively town as Hanayanagi Street, and it was a town where string research was never stopped. With modernization, its features have been almost lost, but you can still feel the remaining incense in some places.

The night walk is exceptional to taste the atmosphere of Ningyocho.

Starting from [Suitengu] where the figures were extinct, I walked with a close acquaintance.
I walk around while being interested in the lights of a small restaurant in the alley and the fragrance drifting from somewhere.

[Kashima Shoten], where you can enjoy rare sake (Kakuuchi) now, is a valuable thing. It's crowded with many regular customers tonight.

This area is dotted with the shrines of Nihonbashi Seven Lucky Gods, but the atmosphere that illuminates small lamps at night is also quite good. As you go around [Matsushima Shrine] with the third rooster ahead and [Suehiro Shrine] of Motoyoshihara Sogo, your feelings gradually increase.

After getting acquainted with the tasteful Japanese food culture in the alley where the atmosphere of Kayamachi remains, it is a time to spare the remnants in a stylish bar.

Please enjoy an adult walk in the neighborhood of Ningyocho.
