Haibara Japanese paper museum of geese paper (smooth, glossy, resilient)

[Yurikamome] August 14, 2011 08:30

2011_0810 Japanese shop curtain 0044.JPG in Haibara TableHaibara was the first to sell wild goose paper in Edo.

When you put one brush and ink, the letters are beautifully worn with a soft brush ... and the popularity has spread not only to writers, ink customers, but also to wifes and children.

There were also requests from the Imperial Family, successive ministers, writers, and painters.

During the flowering period of the Meiji civilization, Haibara exported Japanese paper for the first time in Japan and imported Western paper.

He also exhibited at the Vienna World Exposition in 1873 and the Paris World Exposition in 1878, and was awarded a certificate.

During this time, Haibara-style Japanese paper, which went to Western Europe, has been preserved in the Victoria Albert Museum of Art in England, the Glasgow Museum, and the Paris decorative art museum attached to the Louvre Museum in France.

Haibara-style Japanese paper was also used for the paper that signed the San Francisco Convention in 1951.

In the Taisho era, with the development of industry, new measuring instruments were imported from foreign countries, and we succeeded in manufacturing measurement records used for them.

Since the Edo period, "Yes Rose" has handprinted the works of Hoitsu Sakai, Koshin Shibata, and Eishu Kato with woodcuts on a fan that has been loved as a summer tradition, and the handle uses Yakushima Island cedar.

Yumeji Takehisa (1884-1934) 1-2-1 Yaesu, a land related to Minatoya

[Yurikamome] August 12, 2011 08:30

Painter and poet Yumeji Takehisa was also good at drawing a pretty girl with big eyes.

At Gofuku Bridge Higashizume, you can also see the traces of "Minatoya Esoshi Paper Store".

It is written in front of "Shin-Gofuku Bridge Building" on Eitai-dori St.

This land was a place where Yumeji lived and transmitted designs, and was also a place of memories with his lover Hikono.

It seems that he loved the bustle and atmosphere of Edo Nihonbashi.

However, the diary immediately after the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 says, "Edo is gone ..."

Former site of Minatoya Esoshi Paper Store Former Gofuku Bridge 2 Higashizume

It is said that from 1913 to 5 years, he sold booths designed by Yumeji and was known as a specialty of Tokyo.

There was a gallery on the second floor, where young Koshiro Onchi gathered.

Suzukake (Platanas), which has experienced the earthquake and war damage, also wrote Yumeji, grows again on Eitai-dori St. in front of the old store. 2011_0810 0054.JPG    I can't wait for people who can't wait for the night. It seems that the moon will not come out this evening ...

2011_0810 Letter of Yumeji 20010.JPG The above is the letter of Yumeji addressed to Haibara.

On the back of the envelope below, there is "Noshu Nasu Onsen Komatsuya Yumeji Takehisa".

The postmark "3, 6, 13" is likely to be June 13, 1928.

"It's a good thing to give you a hundred pieces of stupid and careful people to this one."

Haibara asked Yumeji to design envelopes, stationery, Chiyogami, fan fans, etc.

Yumeji was also a "customer" who prefers to use Haibara Washi for himself.

I think Yumeji walked with Hikono to Nihonbashi, Ichiishibashi, Bank of Japan head office, Mitsukoshi head office, etc.

2011_0810 Painting of Haibara 0007.JPGHaibara has been established for 200 years since its establishment in 1806 (1806).

As a long-established Japanese paper company, we sell mainly Japanese paper and paper products mainly at the Nihonbashi Main Store in Tokyo.

It is depicted in "Empire Japan Tokyo Nihonbashi-no-zu" (around 1887).

It was the beginning that the geese paper was first sold to the common people of Edo as indicated by the Japanese shop curtain of the "geese paper Haibara".

2011 "Walking around the Town" Tour Long-established Tour 2 Yamamoto-noriten Part 3

[Yurikamome] August 2, 2011 08:55

2011_0726 Entrance to Yamamoto-noriten 0034.JPGThe annual long-established tour “town walk” tour 2 Kiya → Nihonbashi Kaishin → I visited Yamamoto-noriten.

Mr. Yamamoto-noriten is also a member of the Toto Goodwill Association.

Toto norenkai ... a long-established brand in Edo

It was founded from the Edo period to the early Meiji period, and has been in Tokyo for more than 100 years.

Founded in 1849 (1849). ・... The era of Ieyoshi in the 12th generation

2011_0726 Yamamoto-noriten Maruume mark 0044.JPG The logo mark "Maruume mark" means that laver values the scent like plums.

It is due to the fact that high-quality seaweed can be obtained during the cold when plum blossoms bloom.

   2011_0727 Explanation of Yamamoto-noriten 0023.JPG

Nori used to be a production area in Tokyo in the past ... Don't forget this.

It seems that Yamamoto-noriten, who values bonds, has a relationship with Yoko Yamamoto as an exclusive model, was recognized in Guinness's world record this year. It has been forty-two years.

We had tea in a corner of the large room and listened to the story and tasted the seasoned laver.

The small pink box contained moss with tasted seaweed and looked like sweets.

Seasoned seaweed

In 1869 (1869), Emperor Meiji was killed by Yamamoto-noriten as a souvenir of the eastern capital, and the second generation tasted grilled laver for the first time and created "Ajitsuki laver".
