The center of commerce Chuo-ku There are many lively shopping streets in Japan.
Correspondents visit, see, and hear the shopping streets that are loved by the locals, prospered with the residents, and familiar to them. It conveys the lively charm and vitality, special information, etc. Chuo-ku This is the 19th "correspondent's Shopping Street Visit" that introduces the shopping associations and shopping streets.

◎Correspondent Visit to Shopping Street (19th)◎
A town full of history and culture / Nihonbashi 3-chome Nishimachi-kai and Shopping Street Federation
We interviewed Kiichiro Nonaga, chairman of the Nihonbashi 3-chome Nishimachi Association and Shopping Street Association. The place is the long-established Japanese restaurant "Yukari Nihonbashi". This is the shop where Mr. Nonaga serves as president.
Q) How long does the shopping street have?
<Chairman> This is the third year since the Shopping Street Federation was formed in 2009. However, there are some long-established stores with a history of 400 years since the town of "Edo" was created, such as Mr. Nishikawa, who follows the flow of Omi merchants.
Q) Please tell us the number of shops and what kind of genre there are many shops.
<Chairman> There are about 60 shops. There are many restaurants, but the feature of this shopping street is that there are many art and culture-related shops such as world-famous antique shops and galleries.
Q) Could you tell me the appeal of the shopping street?
<Chairman> I try to create a city that brings the scent of culture to the forefront, taking advantage of the fact that there are many shops related to art and culture, exhibitions are held at Takashimaya, and the Bridgestone Museum is nearby.
As the surrounding redevelopment progresses steadily and high-rise buildings are being constructed one after another, high-rise buildings cannot be built in our area due to the Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance. However, on the contrary, I would like to use it as a strength to increase greenery in the city and provide a relaxing space consisting of low-rise buildings.
"Yoju-in Street" related to everyone "Sakura-dori St." with beautiful greenery in the city.
Q) Please let us know about the future event.
The 100th anniversary event will be held in October, with Nihonbashi becoming a stone bridge, led by the “Meabashi / Nihonbashi” preservation society. We plan to open a large number of antenna shops and merchandise stores. I hope you will enjoy it while thinking about the history of Nihonbashi, the center of Edo, so please come and visit us!
<Report>
Mr. Nonaga, who answered in a nasty mood like an Edo kid. As expected, I felt that I was raised in Nihonbashi, born in Nihonbashi.
I hope that this shopping street, which values the history and culture of the city, will flourish more and more.

On the afternoon of a holiday, on the way back from the museum, I visited "Fukumitsuya" in Ginza to get a little sake.
It is a sake brewery in Kanazawa, but there is a counter with about 8 seats in the store, where you can get sake that the brewery boasts.
Today (May 3), a signboard called "GW Limited Event Sake Carbonated BAR" appeared in front of the store. "What is sake carbonation?...? "Sit at the counter with my expectation.
Sake carbonic acid is the original product of this brewery, which is made by dividing sake with soda.
When I got it, it was the first taste that soft carbonated was added to the flavor of rice like sake. I think it's very easy for women to drink.
I thought so, looking at the store, most of the seats were women. There are plenty of sweets such as ice cream and roll cakes using sake lees here.
There was a slightly fashionable atmosphere in Ginza where you can enjoy lunch in an urban manner.

A weekday evening after finishing work near Ginza. I wanted to go there once before
I went to a long-established bar Lupin in Ginza.

Open the iron door with no extra decoration.
When I went down the stairs to the basement, I was told a bright voice saying "Welcome." You can feel relieved if you call the shop quickly at the first store.
I've been walking all the time and I've been thirsty, so beer first.
After enjoying the refreshing taste of the throat, I will look around the store.
There are more than a dozen counters and a few table seats. About 80% of that.
It's filled. There are many middle-aged and elderly people who are like businessmen.
It's a calm atmosphere.
After drinking beer, a woman in the counter casually recommends a second cup.
It is a customer service with a moderate sense of distance that is not forced.
I ordered a gimmlet in order to order something like a bar. The scent of lime was refreshing.
Bar Lupine was founded in 1928. The building was renovated in the 1940s.
It seems that the interior was preserved and restored as it was in the past.
The style of a long-established bar was oozing out on the dull white walls and authentic wood grain decorations.
It is a recommended shop when you want to enjoy a Ginza-like night in a bar or the like.
I think that even women alone can drink with peace of mind.

On a weekday evening, I found a shop that I was worried about walking in Ginza.
"Blue Juice Stand...?」 It was a shop of a genre I've never seen before, so I've never seen before.
Let's go in for now.
When you enter, you can see that the smell of the peculiar to vegetables that don't be disappointed.
I'm telling you.
To a woman like a staff member, "Is this a restaurant where you can drink green juice?"
When I asked him, "Yes. (Size) size? Do you want to make it small?"
To be honest, green juice
What I drank
Because there was no feeling of "trial things"
I'd like a small one. By the way, the large is 500 yen and the small is 250 yen.
(The glass in the photo is small.)
"No," I tried to drink it. A bitter liquid throat
I'm passing by. The smell of blue fills the plumpun and the nasal cavity. What is easy to drink?
I can't say very much, but this bitterness is good for my body.
It seems that this shop, Ginza, has been doing it for 25 years.
Vegetables called "kale", which is the raw material, are crushed every morning at the shop, so it is very good.
Fresh
You can drink green juice from this stand. In the neighborhood during lunch and evening on weekdays
Work
It seems that office workers and office workers often visit.

At the end of my work on April 2nd (Fri), I went to see the lighting up of Hamarikyu.
Spring is not quite full even in April, this time today...。 This day is also at night
It was a bit chilly.
I paid 300 yen at the reception and went inside. I wasn't wondering if there were any cherry blossoms.
After going along the route for a while, lanterns are lit along the migratory path.
![Lantern _1 ~ 1.jpg](http://www.chuo-kanko.or.jp/blog/2010/04/06/%E7%81%AF%E7%AF%AD_1~1.jpg)
The lanterns are filled with seasonal flowers such as plums, wisteria, peony, and daffodils.
It was painted with skillful brushwork. Combined with the faint brightness, the Japanese atmosphere is felt.
It makes me feel (even though I said that few people stopped and watched it....)
After walking for a while, the voice of "Wow!" begins to rise. The cherry blossoms are lit up at night.
I approach the cherry blossoms while thinking, "Oh, this is this."
The pale pink color in the darkness
It was clearly visible. The background is a group of buildings in the Shiodome area.
I think it's like a Tokyo-like landscape, such as the place where cherry blossoms and skyscrapers become paintings.
There's a shop nearby where you can buy oden, yakisoba and amazake. I'm going home from work.
A group of office workers was making a circle and chatting with one canned beer. Is it a nearby place of work? This light
It may be customary to come to see the up (however, it seems that you can't see the cherry blossoms sitting on the ground. There was a note at the entrance. The salaried workers were enjoying themselves around the tables and chairs that were set up near the shop.
When I saw it, the cherry blossoms were not yet 100% in full bloom, so it seems that you can enjoy the cherry blossoms around next week. The Yoshino cherry tree will be lit up until the 5th (Monday), but the 16th (Friday) will begin to light up Yaezakura. At that time, you will be able to love flowers in a warmer spring evening.
Finally, a phrase reminds me that Hamarikyu is famous for "Shiiri no Ike".
"Sakura Yura Hamarikyu in the sea breeze"

On a sultry Sunday afternoon, I went to Senbikiya Fruit Parlor on the 2nd floor of Mitsui Tower in Nihonbashi in search of refreshing sweetness.
![ck0918-07141.jpg](http://www.chuo-kanko.or.jp/blog/ck0918-07141.jpg)
In the Nihonbashi area
There were not so many crowds, but as for Senbikiya, I decided to wait in front of a famous store, about 15 minutes. If you wait, your expectations will increase. In front of the store, there is a signboard of mango parfait because it is the seasonal taste.
Mango is sold at the fruit sales floor on the first floor of Mitsui Tower, which sells over 10,000 yen. For the common people, I was afraid of the price that slightly exceeded the meaning of the word "luxury", so I ordered a peach parfait instead of a mango parfait.
![ck0918-07143.jpg](http://www.chuo-kanko.or.jp/blog/ck0918-07143.jpg)
But this is the right answer!
The peaches were fresh, soft, and made them feel the taste of the season, and fresh cream and vanilla ice were never too much forward, elegant sweetness. In order from the parfait, the last one that appears at the end is the peach sauce gently left at the bottom of the glass vessel. This is delicious again! Peach parfait that starts with peaches and ends with peaches is the main character. I was very satisfied.
Sembikiya was founded in 1834 (Tenpo era 5). I was able to feel the traditional taste of 175 years.
