The 5th: Tsukiji Hydrangea Festival, hosted by the NPO Tsukiji Reservation Study Group.
It was held on May 23, 2015 and has been listening to the lecture.
Lecturer is Tadaji Sekiguchi, a tactile book with members of the Science Council of Japan, the Society of History of Japan, and the Society of Western History.
The theme is "My ancestor Heinrich.von. Siebold and Tsukiji Reservation, Yan Liaokan, Shintomiza".
Before the lecture starts, the person holding the microphone and acting as the moderator was completely misunderstood today's instructor.
While reconfirming today's theme, "My ancestors ...", I listened carefully to the lecture.
It was distributed after the seminar, rather than reporting the memos of the lecture you listened to.
Booklet, "WHO IS HEINRICH SIEBOLD",
Subtitle: There was a young man who descended to Japan in the early Meiji era. His name is Siebold, Heinrich,
At the same time, I would like to ask.
1) Philip von. Siebold (title omitted) When Philip first arrived in Japan.
I knew that my daughter rice was born between the Japanese woman "Otaki-san" I met in Nagasaki and later opened Tsukiji Sanin.
2) There are two boys between Siebold and his wife Helene von Gagern in the city of Boppard on the banks of the Rhine River, the home of Siebold.
His eldest son was Alexander, and his second son was Heinrich.
3) His second son, Heinrich, attracted interest in Japan that his father loved, and was stationed in Japan during the Meiji era as a deputy minister to Japan in the Austrian Hungary, and lived in Tsukiji Reservoir.
4) After becoming a member of the British Embassy in Japan, his brother Alexander returned to Germany as an interpreter for the European delegation of Akitake Tokugawa. He served as a diplomatic advisor to the Japanese government during the Meiji period.
His brother's achievements include Osamu Oku, Japan's first participation in the Convention on Trade and Navigation, and Japan's first participation in the Vienna Expo.
He has proposed the construction of the Yan Liao Museum, proposed the establishment of Nippon Hakuaisha (currently the Red Cross), worked hard to revise the inequality treaty, and advised on the enactment of the Meiji Constitution.
5) Today's lecturer Tadashi Sekiguchi married Hana, the daughter of Musashi-ya in Nihonbashi, where Heinrich in 3) came to like during his stay in Japan.
It was explained that Hana was a grandmother, Heinrich's grandson, Philip's great-grandson, and was active in Japan, encountering various people, etc.
He told me that he had been familiar with government officials with diplomatic problems during the Meiji Restoration in the early days, using images to explain in an easy-to-understand manner.
It was a very meaningful story that taught me the relationship between the Siebold family and Japan.
The booklet purchased on the way home, "WHO IS HEINRICH SIEBOLD", published by the Winter Blue, and "Hundred Story of Tsukiji Settlement in Tokyo" written by Masao Shimizu.
It will make the city walk in the future.
In addition, the “NPO Tsukiji Reservation Study Group” hosted this seminar.
I received a flyer that we are looking for new members.
