Signposts for historical walks around the old Nikko Kaido Hondori

[Silver] May 28, 2018 14:00

Daidenma Honmachi Hon-dori is the old Nikko and Oshu Highway. From Meibashi / Nihonbashi, turn right at the YUITO building.

The monument in this explanation was located in the corner of the parking lot opposite Edoya, but was relocated facing the street.

You can hear the voice of the bustle of the street, such as a cotton shop.

When you go to the surrounding Takarada Ebisu Inari Shrine, Kodemmacho prison ruins (prison ruins), Sugimori Shrine, etc., we recommend shopping at a long-established store nearby.

Please drop in when you go there.

As a restaurant, "Nihonbashi Funa Kotobukishi" is also nearby, where you can enjoy delicious sushi. http://www.funazushi.info/

Cored Muromachi 2 "Okiya Takumi" A delicious meat restaurant on the 29th is particularly advantageous.

[Silver] May 24, 2018 12:00

Today, we got off at Tokyo Metro Mitsukoshimae Station and enjoyed a walk around Nabashi and Nihonbashi.

I wanted to explore the restaurant in Cored Muromachi, where many shops are located.

I went up to the Toho Cinema of Choledo 2. My favorite movie had started screening and had time until the next screening.

I started walking around the restaurant in an attempt to cross the connecting bridge with Choledo 1. At the back of the Mexican dish "El Bolacho", I found a signboard of "Takumi Okiya".

It seems to be a famous restaurant for teppanyaki, but when it enters after 1 o'clock on weekdays, it is served with a lunch menu that is friendly to your wallet. "Stee steak bowl" of beef serloin. Normally, the price of ¥1,450 is 1,000 yen including tax on weekdays. I also came with coffee after dinner.

The 29th is meat day, so usually the price of ¥1,450 is ¥500 for only 50 meals. There is a great benefit for the first time. However, there are a lot of people lined up around 11 o'clock, so if you do not arrive a little before that, you may not be able to find a benefit.

When you use it, get a point card. With 5 stamps, you can get 500 yen per person from the menu at lunch time. At dinner time, your favorite monja one dish service. For 10 stamps, one item per person from the menu is free at lunch time. At dinner time, 15% off your bill. That's right. (Please check the validity period of this point card.)

"Jushi Square Annex" and "Kodemmacho Gunyashiki Exhibition Hall"

[Silver] May 17, 2018 09:00

For the first time in six months, I went to the Kodemmacho prison exhibition hall in the "Jushi Square Annex" adjacent to Jushi Square (former Jushi Elementary School).

I went there in October last year, so I haven't been there for a while.

As usual, when I entered from the reception desk of Jushi Square, there was no model of the prison. When I asked a kind staff member, I was told that it was relocated to the place where it entered from the entrance to Jushiyu.

It is a miniature version of the very elaborate Kodemmacho prison. The kind explanation is also perfect.

A great man, including Dr. Shouin Yoshida, who was damaged in Ansei's prison that rocked late Tokugawa shogunate, was imprisoned and executed.

It was a time to think about history and think about the achievements of great people who ran through the Meiji Restoration from the end of the Tokugawa period.

We recommend walking along Ningyocho-dori from Kodemmacho and strolling around Nihonbashi Elementary School, Uokyu Main Store, and Kakigara Ginza where Saigo Don lived. And enjoy eating and shopping in Ningyocho, which is full of humanity.

Ginza willow history booklet "Ginza willow"

[Silver] May 12, 2018 12:00

I received the booklet "Ginza's willow".

It describes "History of willows in Ginza" since the Meiji era.

(The next photo shoots a panel of the Ginza Yanagi Festival.)

"In the Meiji era, Shin Ryogaecho was changed to Ginza. The whole area is burned by the great fire of Ginza. In Tokyo's non-combustible urban plan by the Meiji government, the policy of building a Ginza brick street was decided. Ginza Street, which is paved with red bricks on the horse path and humanitarianism, is completed. Trees of pine, maple and cherry trees in Yotsuji on Ginza Street. Pine and cherry blossoms die due to the watery soil in the landfill. It is replanted in willows that live in wetlands. This is the history of the birth of the first willow. And around 1921, the street trees in Ginza will almost become willows. From the story of the second and third births, in 1965, 20 out of 200 willows were replanted. Ginza-dori major renovation as a commemorative project in 1967. The 208 willows in Ginza were removed from 203, excluding the 5 in front of Teattle Tokyo in Kyobashi due to renovation work on Ginza Street and remarkable weakness. After this, an article titled "Ginza's willow" will be introduced by Mr. Kazuji Shiiba, Chairman of Ginza Gomon Street and Mr. Yasuo Katsumata, Chairman of Ginza Kinharu Street. I'll omit some of the articles, but from now on, I'm going to do that.

"I'm happy to plant" willows in Ginza, all over the country. According to a report from the Asahi Shimbun that "Ginza's willow was from Azumino", it was also written that Ginza's willow returned to Nagano.

This booklet was received from the executive committee at the venue of the 12th Ginza Yanagi Festival. .

In addition, at the venue, there was a quiz about "Yanagi Tree".

The official name is Shidare willow. The classification and subject of plants are written as "The willow family willow" and I learned.

Lunch at Lion Ginza 7-chome store 2F

[Silver] May 10, 2018 14:00

After 14 o'clock on weekdays, the restaurant in Ginza has finished lunch, and it is time to develop spirit, take a break, and prepare for the evening for the reopening in the evening.

When I went to the shop I wanted at 6, 7, and 8, I was told, "I'm LO at 14 o'clock" or "I'm going to take a break." (This shop is going to take the next opportunity) and it seems that there are few restaurants that rotate from daytime to night.

In such a situation, I remembered the Lion Ginza 7-chome store.

From Monday to Friday on weekdays, the daily set meal includes a drink bar and a green salad bar, and ¥1,080 (including consumption tax).

Today's daily set meal was accompanied by fried beef roses, fried sardines & fillets & so-called (so-called) spaghetti Napolitan.

Of course, it comes with a drink bar and salad bar. You can enjoy lunch draft beer and lunch wine at an extra charge.

Finally, I felt comfortable and enjoyed a walk in the city of Ginza again.
