Following the Yoshino cherry tree, which was in full bloom at the end of last month, the so-called Yae-zakura, a group of so-called "Yaezakura", which is mainly planted on the lakeside from the "Oden Bridge" in the "Tide-filled Pond" to the "Ute-Oden Bridge".

As if the petals were folded in multiple layers and pink snow were piled up on the branches, the bells in full volume are gorgeous, giving a different taste from Yoshino cherry tree.

You can enjoy "multiple blooming" in different colors and shapes, as represented by the "five-colored Yae-zakura" of red (Sekiyama), light red (fugen elephant), white <light peach> (Kazuha), yellow (Utsukin), and green (Okin yellow).

It is said that there are about 100 cherry trees in the park (including about 10 in Yoshino cherry tree), but since it is not widely recognized as a famous spot for cherry blossoms, it is relatively vacant at this time, so you can take a leisurely stroll and look around.

The scenery that shines in the "tidal pond" against the background of "Ochiya in Nakajima" has a unique atmosphere.

After Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the lighting up is still canceled, but we are waiting for the revival of the stage setting where you can enjoy fantastic scenes.

In addition, on April 19 and 20, the garden will set up a food and beverage booth and a stage at Uchibori Square to taste the food culture reminiscent of Edo, touch products related to Edo, and enjoy Edo traditional performing arts. And enjoy the Edo atmosphere. "Edo Bunkamura in Hamarikyu Garden" hosted by the Chuo-ku Shopping Street Federation is scheduled to be held.

"Gangro" Yurikamome <Sumida River Terrace>

[Sam] April 9, 2014 08:26

R0017896LS.JPGNatsuha RSG.jpg Most of the seagull's species come mainly from northern Eurasian Continent in autumn and then return to northern breeding grounds in spring.

Among them, Japanese plums are said to account for the majority of small seagull species coming to Japan.

One of the characteristics of the Japanese plum is that the appearance of winter feathers and summer feathers is completely different.

Winter feathers, which are often seen, have a pure white head, dark spots behind their eyes, and red legs and beaks.

It has a slender, streamlined overall, and has a white and lovely face.

On the other hand, Natsuha seems to have a humorous appearance from the back of the eyes to the neck and covered a black hood about 2/3 of the head.

The legs and beaks also turn dark red, and the white eye line with the front is clearly visible around the eyes.

Yurikamome's "gangromake" is a "sign of departure" that indicates that spring has come and is ready to return to the north.

The black gull seen on the Sumida River terrace seems to increase the number of individuals whose head is blacker day by day.

During this period, you can enjoy a unique sight of the "prepared individuals" that are already switching to summer wings and the "relaxing shop" that still retains the image of winter feathers next to each other.

"canola flower Cherry Blossom" "brown-eared bulbul" <Hamarikyu Garden>

[Sam] April 7, 2014 11:30

      R0017942CLLS.JPG   brown-eared bulbul (2) CLLS.jpg

brown-eared bulbul 1RSG.jpg Due to the heavy snowfall in February, about 300,000 canola flower fields in Hamarikyu Onshi Gardens were less tall and undeniable, but they managed to recover, and the yellow carpet glowed in the spring sunshine and delighted the eyes.

In the park, it is the season of about 90 Satozakura trees, following the Somei Soshino, which was in full bloom at the end of last month.

In the flower garden, you can see brown-eared bulbul visiting and popping flowers.

Until around 1970 in Tokyo, brown-eared bulbul was regarded as a typical "wafting bird" that grew in forests in mountainous areas during the summer and appeared in urban areas in winter. It seems to be counted as one of the familiar wild birds that can be seen throughout the year.

The reason seems to be various theories, but it is not clear, and I hear that the acquisition of omnivorousness is one of them. However, it is said that migrating populations have been reported.

As a feature

①It has a long tail, a slender body, and its beak is black and its tip is sharp.

②The whole body grayish brown and sexy.

③There is a brown part on the cheek, which stands out well, and the back neck from the forehead is blurred.

④It screams lively with Peyopiyo, draws a large wave shape and flies.

⑤Eat a variety of things according to the season.

In spring, you may lick nectar on the tip of the tongue with a brush-shaped tip, or eat petals.

They catch insects in summer and eat nuts from autumn to winter.

They sometimes pick vegetables and fruits in the field.

It's a good thing.

It is a wild bird found only in Japan, and seems to be a rare species for birdwatchers in Europe and the United States.
