R0038006RSG.jpg July 18 is the day of the sea.

A new start of the "Sea Day" event "Sea and Japan Project" is based on the desire to have many people interested in the sea and feel the importance of the sea, especially the children who will lead the next generation. Has been reported.

This project is sponsored by the General Ocean Policy Headquarters, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the Nippon Foundation, and is scheduled to engage in a variety of sea-related events nationwide through collaboration between industry, academia and government, including related ministries and agencies, local governments, various organizations, companies, universities, etc.

At the Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal and its surroundings, workshops, marine seminars, exhibitions, etc. were held, entitled "Sea and Japan Project in Harumi", including the public exhibition on board (partially open to the public), which cannot be visited normally. .

Open to the public: 10:30~17:00

Look for Nippon Maru.

For more than 50 years, Nippon Maru II entered service in 1984 (Showa 59) as a successor to Nippon Maru, the first sailing training sailing ship, called "Swans in the Pacific Ocean" or "Wist of the Sea," because of its beautiful appearance.

The first large sailboat that has been consistently performed in Japan, from sailing ship outfit design to production.

The sailing performance has been greatly improved compared to the previous generation, and it has been counted as one of the world's leading high-speed sailing ships, and has been awarded the "Boston Teapot Trophy" three times that year.

This time, with the guidance of the staff of the Japan Maritime Education Agency, each small group toured the inside of the ship, mainly on the deck, including the "Reder Ring", a commemorative photo point at the end.

The state of sailing training (sail drill), which will be severe, crosses the mind.

The patrol boat "Izu", the deep-sea diving survey ship support mother ship "Yokosuka", and the fishery research ship "Kaiyomaru".

On July 15th, the annual "Sony Aquarium" opened at Ginza Sony Building (Ginza 5) under the supervision of the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.

The event has been held almost every year since the opening of the building in 1966 (Showa 41), and is now one of the summer traditions of Ginza.

Date: July 15-August 28 (Outdoor aquariums can be viewed until 23:00)

The concept of this year, which marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Sony Building, is "Education," a synthetic word that represents the fusion of education and entertainment. There are hands-on events where you can learn about Okinawan nature and creatures through aquarium displays and images that reproduce the Okinawa Churaumi ecosystem.

This year, Sony Square, an outdoor event space facing the Sukiyabashi intersection, has a large 14-ton aquarium, recreating the world of creatures living in the beautiful coral reef sea.

I heard that about 500 fish of 23 types, including the grouper's friend "Tamakai" and the 1-meter-long "Fake Goishi Utsubo" will appear sequentially.

Feeding is performed twice a day (11:30-17:30-17:30-30 minutes each time), every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday (13:30-, 14:30-, 15:30-, 16:30-, 18:30-18:30-15 minutes each time) The Okinawa Aquarium explains the Okinawa Aquarium.

You can experience the charm of "Okinawa Churaumi" which is cool to your eyes.

2016 Tsukuda Island Bon Odori

DSC_0484SQLSG.jpg "Tsukuda Island Bon Odori" is held every year for three days from July 13 to 15 around the tower built in the center of "Wataba-dori" square at Tsukuda 1-chome.

It seems that there are various theories about the origin of "Bon Odori on Tsukuda Island", one of the Umimura folk performing arts that has been handed down in the Tsukuda area since ancient times, but Asakusa Gobo (now Tsukiji Honganji), which was located in Yokoyamacho near Asakusabashi during the Edo period, was rebuilt by Tsukiji after the great fire of the Meiryaku era.

In the old days, it is said that he danced around Nihonbashi and Kyobashi, received aspirations, and dedicated it to Tsukiji Honganji, but after the reform of Tenpo, which was forbidden to go around the city, it became an event held only on Tsukuda Island, and it has been handed down to this day I hear that it has been done.

In 1976, it was designated as a Intangible Folk Cultural Property in Tokyo as a valuable folk performing arts in Tokyo that retains the remnants of Edo.

Under the light Japanese lantern handed over from the turret, the dancer goes back and forth around the turret, along with the sorrowful singing song and the monotonous rhythm of the turret.

This year again, the tasteful voice color of Tsukudajima Bon Uta, the leading player in the "Tsukudajima Bon Uta", will resonate.

In the first half, children and in the second half, adults are the center of dance.

On the last day, dancers can enjoy dancing in costumes that elaborate their own tastes.

You can also see foreigners participating in the dance circle.

This month was held on July 7th.

On the day of the event, Tokyo was a hot day with a maximum temperature of 36.7 ° C, and the schedule was shortened, centering on the "Flower Terrace".

(14:30~15:00)

At this time, it is Kato that jumps into the eyes first, but it is large for horticultural varieties, the most common shape "Tosaka Kato system", the flower folds and spherical "Kurume Kato system", the feather-shaped "Feather Kato system", a conical shape like a spear, and is divided into four systems, "Spear Kato system".

"Heliotrope", which has appeared in Soseki's novel "Sanshiro", has aroma, is known as a raw material for perfume, and is also known as "perfume grass" and "smell purple".

"Clarisage" is said to have the function of healing tension and calming the mind.

"Buchanan's sage (common sage Buchanani)" with velvet texture.

Paquistax Lutea, Crosdella, and Pineapple Lily are also unique flower figures.

At first glance, it looks similar, Rodbekia and Echinacea.

Echinacea's original meaning is Harriness in Greek. It is characterized by a shard of thorns on the back of the petals, and is identified as rdovekia.

This time, it was a plant walk that gained a little learning, "see, hear, touch" again.

Minato 2-chome (5th) archeological site tour

[Sam] July 5, 2016 16:00

DSC02178PLS.jpg

DSC02176SQRLS.jpgOn both July 1st and 2nd, at the excavation site of Minato 2-chome 10 and 11, "Minato 2-chome (5th) archeological site tour-Samurai and townspeople run in the gunpowder ~ "was implemented.

(10:00~16:00)

First, the curator of the Local Tenmonkan introduced the archeological site and explained the status of the survey.

"The archeological site was reclaimed after Ieyasu Tokugawa entered Edo in 1590, and was called gunshot. It is said that the name comes from the fact that the shape of the landfill resembled a gun, and that there was a shooting range for the Shogunate gun immediately after the landfill.

The north side of the surveyed land is considered to be a townspeople area, and the south side is a samurai area.

In the Samurai residence area, such as the Hachisuka family of the Tokushima Domain, waterworks, wells, stone-framed sewage, garbage holes, and some ponds in gardens were excavated. In the Machiya area, remain has been excavated, including stone-framed sewage, wood-framed sewage, building and storehouses.

Above all, the stone wall, which shaped the gunshot, is a very valuable discovery because it may be an archeological site where the development of land in the early Edo period could be understood.

In the Meiji era, it became a "miscellaneous area" of Tsukiji foreign settlements, where tableware from West and beef bones that show carnivores were excavated. "

That's why.

There are also exhibits of stone walls and excavated relics.
