Super Moon 2017

[Sam] December 4, 2017 14:00

DSC01538RELS'.jpgSuper 16 Nights G.jpg

On December 3, the full moon tonight is the largest and brightest "Super Moon" this year.

A phenomenon in which the moon turning around the earth in an elliptical orbit overlaps with the day closest to the earth and the full moon, and the moon seen from the earth looks larger than usual.

According to the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ), it looks about 14% larger and about 30% brighter than the smallest full moon on June 9.

Strictly, the moment of the full moon changes the date and 0:47 on the 4th, so the 4th is the full moon on the calendar, but due to the wide high pressure and the weather, it is wonderful tonight I was able to enjoy the moon.

It shows a different appearance at the crescent moon, half moon, full moon and at that time, and it delights, but the full moon is exceptional.

The chilled Shiwasu city on the left bank of the Sumida River, seen from Kachidokibashi, shines brightly.
