Tenten Festival in Ningyocho

[Mumin] October 12, 2011 13:00

I went to the Tenten Festival on October 10th of the autumn weather. The Tenten Festival is named after "Totsuki (October) Toka (10th)" until childbirth, which is held around October 10 every year, in hope of safe delivery. There were a lot of worshipers at the Suitengu Shrine, the god of safe birth.

On the day of the event, there were plenty of fun events such as marching band marching, police cars, white motorcycles, firefighting aerial work vehicles, ladder cars, sales of local products, handmade games, etc. on Ningyocho Odori.

However, the most popular is the lottery distributed to the first 500 people, and I couldn't get it because I lined up a few tens of minutes before the start time of distribution.

Instead, it's delicious  I was satisfied because I was able to buy salted grilled chicken and sweetfish.
