Time Dome Akashi (Chuo Ward Local Tenmonkan)

[Many Books Osa] July 31, 2010 07:31

I went to Time Dome Akashi (Chuo Ward Local Tenmonkan) in Akashicho, right opposite St. Luke's Hospital, on cloudy sky between Mainichi and sometimes rainy Friday.

I often go to St. Luke Hospital, but this is my first time to visit Time Dome. It is located on the 6th floor of a complex such as Chuo-ku Public Health Center. The photo below shows the entrance on the first floor.

When you go up to the 6th floor by elevator, it is already the entrance to Time Dome.

Purchase an admission ticket at a vending machine and enter the exhibition room.

The exhibits consisted of Edo Castle: Admission ticket for the playhouse unearthed from the archeological site-Nihonbashi and the fish shore: From the Edo period to the Great Kanto Earthquake, the model of the fish shore in Nihonbashi was quite well made, and I understood the remnants of those days. A scissors box and a vermilion inner box containing the white fish that a fisherman on Tsukuda Island still presents white fish to the Tokugawa Mune family - Merchant and Craftsmen - the prosperity of Dutch studies and Tsukiji Reservation: I was surprised that many well-known private schools were founded in this settlement. - Prosperity of Ginza - Literature in Chuo-ku: Introduction of literary scholars related to Yukari (Introduction of 10 people including Ryunosuke, Fujimura, Toruya, etc.)-The history of Chuo-ku was interesting in an easy-to-see exhibition with no many exhibits due to the composition of Tsukishima and waterside culture. . Photography is prohibited inside, but it turned out that I often saw the exhibits. After that, at the video corner, "I showed me the phantom World Exposition-Tsukishima No. 4 (Harumi) Expo plan and its background (screening time about 30 minutes) by myself. I heard in the story, but it was an interesting video to understand the story of the World Exposition that was canceled.

It took about 1 hour, but it was a fulfilling tour.

After that, there are famous places and historic sites nearby, and it is a fun place for subsequent walks. Wouldn't it be nice to have a lunch box around here for a day?

Visit to restore the Matsuno Chaya at Hamarikyu Onshi Park

[Many Books Osa] July 6, 2010 08:30

From 10:00 on July 3rd (Saturday), we have been observing the restoration work of "Matsuno Chaya" in Hamarikyu Onshi Park. . About 20 people participated.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Construction Bureau Eastern Park and Green Space Office, the Cultural Property Building Preservation Technology Association, and the Township Construction explained.

At present, the framework of the building has been formed, and he explained the roofing work.

Explanation of structure JPG

The pillar material has a beautiful grain of toga, and it was said that it had a hard time finding such a high quality in Japan. The base is cypress.

The roof structure is east Asian hip-and-gable roof.

Demonstration of Roofing JPG

They performed a demonstration of the roofing (the material is Japanese Spanish mackerel) in different places. We also hit the bamboo nails to our visitors, and we had a very good experience because we could not do it without such an opportunity. The tools inside the bamboo nails can be seen in the picture are also special.

Pillar contact method. JPG

This is a method of contacting two pillars. I tried how to divide it into two in a state where it was touched, but I didn't know. It's really good enough to know when it actually disassembled it. I was surprised by the skills of Japanese craftsmen.

The photo below is also processed to match the shape of the foundation stone during the Edo period. In this way, the craftsmen's skills were seen everywhere.

In addition, various seismic reinforcements have been made according to the current building standards. I can't see it when it's done, but it was a good experience to see such a device.

It seems that the strength is enough with thick pine beams, but it has braces.

It was a tour of about an hour, but it was an interesting tour that was so interesting that I didn't have enough chot time. It is said that it will be completed in November this year, but I'm looking forward to it. If there is such a tour, I would like to participate.
