Magome Kageyu

[Taro Hama] Nov. 10, 2011 08:30

Hamamatsu-shiBorn and one of the people who have contributed to the creation of the town in Edo, the name of Kanzo Magome comes to mind.

There are few materials related to Kanzo Magome, some of which are kept at the Edo Tokyo Museum, and the whole picture is still under investigation and research. Since Ieyasu entered Edo, he is definitely one of the people who supported Ieyasu in the shadow of the street and as a town master, and maintained and developed the desolate Edo land.

Hamamatsu-shiThe Magome River is a river that flows almost north and south through the center. According to historical facts, Ieyasu, who returned from Osaka's team at Magome Bridge over this river, took 500 people's feet and picked up, and was subsequently offered to give himself the last name of Magome. .

At the same time, a vast vacant lot in Takarada Village (now near Tokyo Station from the current Gofuku Bridge) was given, but was later ordered to relocate to Otemmacho to expand Edo Castle. Now,Chuo-kuSpeaking of the downtown areas of Ginza and Nihonbashi, as the name suggests, Temmacho was a prime place, and not only Hatagoya but also Edo's transportation and logistics center, Mikawa, Ise Cotton wholesalers have entered the market from Ise, and the bustle is booming as a commercial town, and its bustle is today's large scale.

From the time of Ieyasu to the beginning of the Meiji era, the name of Magome Kanyu was inherited almost from generation to generation, and there are some unclear points about which era Magome Kanyu was derived, but as a central person who laid the foundation of Edo's history and culture I think that the day when I get in the spotlight will come.

(The photo at the lower right is the stone monument of "Otake Dainichi Nyoraiido Ruins". For this, bamboo is the lower woman of the Magome family.

You can see the size of the house of the Magome family.

The trace of residence in Kamono Mabuchi Prefecture

[Taro Hama] July 31, 2011 22:18

Speaking of Kamono Mabuchi, along with Motoori Norinaga, Atsutane Hirata and Azumamaro Kadano, it is still regarded as one of the four major national studies. The inscription of Kamono Mabuchi hangs on the wall of Nihonbashihisamatsucho on Kiyosubashi Street.

Kamono Mabuchi is nowHamamatsu-shiAt the age of 37, he entered Azumamaro Kadano in Fushimi, Kyoto.

After the death of Shiharuman, at the age of 41 at Mabuchi, he descended to Edo and was collected by Munetake Tayasu (the second son of Yatsushiro Shogun Yoshimune) for Japanese studies, and his residence was given to Tayasumon.

In 1764, at the age of 68, Mabuchi moved his residence to Nihonbashihamacho, and he himself called this new house "Prefectural residence" (Agata I). "Prefectural residence" means "country residence", and let's do it because both houses and gardens were made in a rural style.

According to the inscription, the location of "Prefectural residence" is about 100 meters northeast of this point, so I guess it is probably near the red bus in the photo (currently Nihonbashihamacho 1-chome).

In Hamacho's "Prefectural residence", we often hold "Tsukimi no Utakai", and the song at that time is written in the inscription. .

As you say, "Slow down Hara, where the dew went down," at that time, this area was a field where you could hear the sound of insects, and I think it was a windy countryside that you could not imagine today.

In the life of 1769 and 73 years of Mabuchi, I personally imagine that it was the land I loved most as a "prefectural residence" despite being in this area for only six years.

Together with Ieyasu Tokugawa

[Taro Hama] May 6, 2011 09:15

While strolling through Nihonbashikobunacho, see a fan shop called "Ibasen"Hamamatsu-shiFor myself, from the name of the brand, and perhaps,Hamamatsu-shiBased on doubts and curiosity that there may be some kind of relationship with Iba-cho, I found out that Iba-mura, Enshu (currently)Hamamatsu-shiBorn in Iba-cho. President Yoshio Yoshida is now the 14th generation, joined Edo with Ieyasu in 1590, and turned out to be a long-established store with a history of 420 years since then. Fortunately, the other day, I had the opportunity to meet President Yoshida directly and I was able to learn about the situation at that time.

Founder Kanzaemon Ibaya was originally foundedOkazaki-shi, AichiBorn in the birthplace of the Tokugawa family. Kanzaemon's father and Ieyasu seemed to have a friendly relationship through the construction of his livelihood.

When Ieyasu's invasion of Hamamatsu Castle from Okazaki Castle, Kanzaemon accompanies him and assisted, and when Ieyasu entered Edo, he was attracted thousands of craftsmen from Mikawa, Enshu, and Suruga, including Kanzaemon. It seems that he contributed to the development of the town by hitting castles, rivers, landfilling and reclamation of wastelands.

During Genroku, he was allowed to use a surname sword as a merchant, gave him the last name of Yoshida, and began to handle paper and bamboo materials from the construction industry. In the late Edo period, he began using the materials to handle Edo fans and fans, and spread the name throughout Edo throughout Edo as a publisher of Ukiyo-e Toyokuni, Kuniyoshi, and Hiroshige.

The fan is an important necessity from the general and daimyo to the Oku, and I think that it was the cornerstone of the prosperity of Edo culture, imagining a smart townman watching fireworks with one hand of the fan.

"Ibasen" is currently mainly developed in department stores, and I heard that it is the only one in Tokyo that handles Edo folding fans that preserve tradition. This year is especially for the summer of power saving.

How about one fan of "Ibasen" where you can taste the Edo atmosphere?
