Tsurutaro Kataoka Exhibition [Matsuya Ginza]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] August 28, 2014 09:00

From August 27 (Wednesday), "Tsurutaro Kataoka Exhibition 60th Anniversary of Painting" has been held at Matsuya Ginza 8th floor Event Square, and I went there on the first evening.

katao1.JPGMr. Tsurutaro Kataoka was started as a vocal modifier, became a popular actor in variety programs, and since then has been active as an actor who can play a wide range of characters, but he is also active as a painter. Earlier, I saw Tsurutaro, a lecturer of Aya Sumi painting on NHK's educational television.

In this solo exhibition, about 150 works, including unpublished works and new works, showing the trajectory of 20 years of creative activities, are exhibited. In addition to the exhibition of works, interviews with Mr. Tsurutaro's production site and painting work are also aired. The story of camellia flowers is very impressive.

The theme of this time, "60th birthday red," seems to have Tsurutaro's strong desire to make life more bloom from the 60th birthday. It seems that the goldfish was drawn as the motif of the 60th birthday red, and the latest work "Goldfish <two-piece folding screen>" is also on display.

katao2.JPGIt's a postcard I bought in commemoration. These original drawings are also on display.

The period is until September 8 (Monday). Opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The last day is closed at 5 o'clock and admission is until 30 minutes before closing.

Kuma no Pooh Exhibition [Matsuya Ginza]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] August 7, 2014 14:00

The Kuma no Pooh exhibition is being held from August 6th to 25th at Event Square on the 8th floor in Matsuya Ginza 3-chome, Ginza.

"Kuma no Poo" is a story created by British playwright Allen Alexander Milne for his son Christopher Robin. Now, we are familiar with Pooh begins with the animated movie "Pooh and Honey" produced by Walt Disney with the right to filmmaking.

When you enter the exhibition space, the walls are unified in yellow, so you can quickly immerse yourself in Pu's world.

In this special exhibition, stories about the children of Allen Alexander Milne and Walt Disney, and the archives collection of Disney Studios show valuable materials such as cell paintings and figures that will be unveiled for the first time in Japan, as well as many homage works by creators who love "Kuma no Poo".

I visited on the 6th of the first day, after 6:00 pm, the heat of the daytime had not yet subsided, but it was a great success with many Po fans.

pooh2.JPGThere is also a lot of space for Pu's goods sold out of the exhibition space, and I just bought a commemorative item.

Even during the summer vacation, please drop in with your family.

The opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The website for the Kuma no Poo exhibition at Matsuya Ginza is available.
