In the last blog, I introduced "Japan Collie Club in Chuo-ku"
This general incorporated association Japan Colli Club (J.C.C.) was founded in 1953 (Showa 28) and introduced in 2012 that it was a club with a history of celebrating its 60th anniversary. I would like to introduce the relationship between the club and Chuo-ku, which I learned from this interview.
The photo below is the first report of the newsletter "Colly Fancy", and I feel the history.
The current Japan Colli Club is located on the 8th floor of Ginza Wakaho Building, located in Ginza 5-14-8, but at the beginning of 1953, this club, whose office was located in Suginami-ku, moved to the Tsukada Building in Nihonbashi in 1956, and in 1959, moved to Ginza 2-chome Ginraku Building. After that, it was relocated to the current office in Ginza 5-chome, which means that there was an office in Chuo-ku for about 60 years (even now).
In addition, the first exhibition (national exhibition) held in 1953 was held on the roof of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, and at this time there were 42 collies who appeared at this time.
The center of the photo above is Mr. Mori Atsushi Higashikuni, the president of the club.
Also, the year the office moved from Nihonbashi to Ginza 2-chome, in 1959, the Crown Prince's wedding celebration collie festival () was held, welcoming the Crown Prince and Princess, and 270 collies participated. It seems that the event was gorgeously held in the Showa Women's Collegeyard (Setagaya-ku).
The 50th anniversary celebration in 2002 was held at the Yaesu Fujiya Hotel at the time.
The annual general meeting of the club is held at the Social Education Center in Tsukiji.
Certainly, there are more clubs with such a history in Chuo-ku.
The Japan Colli Club also sells goods.
The photo above is a letter set.
