Seven Changes in Remaining Chuo-dori

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 30, 2017 18:00

lanta001.JPG

"Residential Chuo-dori" is the border between "Irifune" and "Minato" in Chuo-ku, and also the street that passes through the center of "Akashicho".

"Residential land" refers to Tsukiji foreign settlement that was established around here at the beginning of the Meiji era.

lanta002.JPG

The intersection where "Idomechi Chuo-dori" and "Idomechi-dori" intersect is the "Akashi Elementary School Intersection", and this intersection is composed of Akashi Elementary School, Catholic Tsukiji Church, St. Luke International Hospital, and St. Luke International Hospital Old Building.

lanta009.jpg

Vivid pink, orange, and yellow flowers are blooming at the base of the street tree along Chuo-dori, a settlement north of the intersection in front of Akashi Elementary School (map above, pink b).

By the way, on both sides of this street, there are many monuments indicating that they are the birthplace of so-called mission schools.

lanta003.JPG

The photo above is the monument of the birthplace of Xiaosei Gakuen.

lanta004.JPG

The flower that blooms is Lantana. The Japanese name is Shichihenge (seven change).

It is an evergreen small shrub belonging to the genus Cychigenge, native to Central and South America.

lanta005.JPG

It is said that the seven changes in the Japanese name are derived from the gradual change in the color of the flower.

lanta006.jpg

The flowering time is long from May to November, and it continues to bloom.

lanta007.jpg

By the end of this flower, it's almost winter.

gokan001.JPG

An illustration exhibition of original city name, country name and national flag is being held at Gallery Ginza, a gallery located in Ginza 2-chome.

gokan002.JPG

This is an illustration exhibition "~ to fantastic countries ~" by Mr. Kwanra Kure

gokan003.JPG

It seems that this is Mr. Kure's first solo exhibition.

gokan004.JPG

At the venue, original works from 50 countries are exhibited.

gokan005.JPG

All illustrations of the city, country, and national flag created by Mr. Kure.

gokan006.JPG

Mr. Kure creates a country that does not exist on the earth, even the name of the city and the national flag, and is made into a work.

The combination of topography and color is beautiful.

gokan007.JPG

Also, the fact that the names of countries and cities are very likely to create a fantastic atmosphere between reality and fantasy.

gokan008.JPG

The event will be held from Tuesday, September 19 to 25 (Monday).

The time is from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and only the last day is until 5:30 pm

The gallery is on the second floor.

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 21, 2017 14:00

seinig001.JPG

This is "Tsuneo Sei's Caricature Grand Prix 2017".

seinig002.JPG

This is an annual open call for caricature enthusiasts from all over Japan, held at Yaesu Gallery Tokyo, an art gallery in the Yaesu Underground Shopping Center.

seinig006.JPG

There are two types, "freedom" and "problems", and this year's challenge is Shohei Otani of Nippon-Ham Fighters, "two-sword style in professional baseball world".

seinig003.JPG

This year, I felt that the materials were more attractive than usual, and the works of the free applicants were varied and powerful.

seinig004.JPG

Anyway, it's a fun caricature exhibition

seinig005.JPG

Attractive materials appear in the shogi world.

Hifmin's popularity is amazing

seinig010.JPG

There is also a corner of Tsuneo Sei's work and a corner of portraits drawn on stone.

seinig011.JPG

The event will be held from Monday, September 18 to 24 (Sun).

Please drop in by all means

seinig007.JPG

This time, the gallery and Kiyoji consented to the photography in the gallery.

Thank you very much

A pigeon tail press [Tsukiji River Ginza Park]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 20, 2017 14:00

"Mejiro pushing" is an example of the concentration of things because the small bird Japanese white-eye flocks from autumn to winter and stops side by side in trees.

hatom001.JPG

Today, on the railing of the slope at Tsukiji River Ginza Park, I saw "Hato push" instead of "Japanese white-eye push", but I saw it gathered in this park before I saw it, but it was the first time I saw it lined up in a line.

hatom003.JPG

Tsukiji River Ginza Park is a park built on the Metropolitan Expressway on both sides of the Mannenbashi Bridge on the way from Higashiginza to Tsukiji along Harumi-dori St.

The Metropolitan Expressway was built by reclaiming the Tsukiji River, which used to flow here in the past.

hatom002.JPG

It seems that the original Japanese white-eye push was also seen from autumn to winter, but today's "doo push" was also seen on the day when it suddenly cooled down, and it made me feel the changing seasons.

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 19, 2017 14:00

At the Megumi Ogita Gallery in Ginza 2-chome, Saitoh•P•Hirohisa's exhibition "P's Eye 4" is being held.

"4" means the fourth exhibition.

saitop001.JPG

During the same period, at Megumi Ogita Gallery, Jason Freeney's solo exhibition "Plastic Surgeon" is also being held, and this collage exhibition will be held in the project room within the gallery.

saitop002.JPG

The event will be held from Friday, September 15 to October 5 (Thu).

Opening hours are from 11:00 to 19:00. Days, moons and public holidays are closed.

saitop003.JPG

Mr. Saito is one of Japan's leading CF producers, who produced numerous hit commercials, and that Pepsiman was also created by Mr. Saito.

saitop004.JPG

The works on display were collaged by cutting out magazines and newspapers that Mr. Saito was collecting, and they were specially packaged and hung on the wall.

It's as fresh as it looks like a store display.

saitop005.JPG

I felt like I could feel the theme of the author in each work.

What you can feel in common from your work is retro or nostalgic?

I couldn't tell you well, but I felt a "good and pleasant feeling of squirrel."

saitop006.JPG

On the table at the venue, there were also works like collaged diaries () and works like albums.

saitop007.JPG

We received your consent for the photography at this gallery, and also cooperated in the interview.

Thank you very much

Plastic Surgeon [Megumi Ogita Gallery]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 18, 2017 09:00

surgeon001.JPG

At the Megumi Ogita Gallery in Ginza 2-chome, a very interesting and slightly scary sculpture exhibition is being held.

surgeon011.JPG

Jason Freeny's first solo exhibition in Japan, "Plastic Surgeon," by Jason Freeny.

By the way, Plastic Surgeon means "plastic surgeon".

surgeon005.JPG

The event will be held from Friday, September 15 to October 5 (Thu).

Opening hours are from 11:00 to 19:00. Days, moons and public holidays are closed.

surgeon014.jpg

There are many anatomy models of characters familiar with anime and manga.

surgeon004.JPG

The presence of Mario's anatomical model is amazing

surgeon006.JPG

After studying architecture and industrial design, Jason became a free designer, and then began creative activities for himself, such as illustrations of anatomy of anime characters.

surgeon007.JPG

Currently, he has been working as a toy designer by working on anatomy models of anime and manga characters.

surgeon002.JPG

I'm watching the "Neko Bus" that appears in the Ghibli movie "My Neighbor Totoro"

surgeon003.JPG

Each work is very interesting and fun to watch, but it is an exhibition where you can feel a little stiffness in the perfect harmony between the internal organs, skeleton and the appearance.

surgeon010.JPG

At the venue, a total of 21 new works and past masterpieces are on display.

surgeon009.JPG

We received your consent for the photography at this gallery, and also cooperated in the interview.

Thank you very much
