Town walk tour
Long-established and Pharmaceutical Museum Course
July 20 Town Walking Tour A long-established store and a drug museum course were accompanied. It turned from the heat of the previous day, and it was cloudy with cool autumn weather, but it was cloudy. It was a great temperature to walk. By the way, as for the town walk, from the front of Kodemmacho Station to the area of Suitengu, a little to the right of the second alley. That street is Dai Temmacho Street. That street was "Old Nikko Kaido" I didn't know this. After about 300 meters, you will see "Edoya" on the right. It is a long-established store of brushes that has been around since the Edo period. The products here are Most of them sell brush brushes made from natural hair. Horses, pigs, human hairs, etc. It seems that lacquer brushes are used for human hair, and it seems to be lacquer brushes. There seems to be no demand in Tokyo, right? In this tour, most of them were women, so the shopping power was suddenly fully opened. Next, "Ozu Washi Store" is a must-have for those who love history. The museum on the second floor is designated as Tangible Cultural Property registered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo. It seems that there are more than 1,200 points. Looking at them, I seemed to forget that I was an attendant. The third house looked at the "Yaku Museum" and the historical film called Nihonbashi Honmachi. I learned anew about the history of Chuo-ku that I didn't know. I think this is the best for free study during summer vacation with children and grandchildren during summer vacation. I'm looking forward to it. As mentioned above, it was Sangasho, but personally it was very meaningful. The course is relatively short, and it's just the right distance for foot breaker. It's about 3,000 steps, about two hours. It may not be enough for those who have good legs. There are other than this course, so if you would like to participate, please join us. Please ask the Chuo-ku Tourism Association. Chuo-ku Tourism Association TEL 03-6228-7907 FAX 03-6228-7908 Mitsui Memorial Museum
See Katsushika Hokusai It is located on the seventh floor of Mitsui Main Building, commonly known as Mitsui Tower, 2-1-1 Nihonbashi Muromachi, Chuo-ku. It is designated as an Important Cultural Property It is shame that there is no permanent exhibition of the Mitsui family when I called to see the treasure of the 300-year-old Mitsui family that has continued since the Edo period next to the head office of the Mitsui Trust Bank. Today, the 250th anniversary of Katsushika Hokusai's birth is on display from the Honolulu Museum of Art in the United States. It is divided into the first half to the second half, and the above is completed by the time this article is published. The second half starts on May 15th (Tuesday). If you are interested, it is definitely worth a look. I've seen it at the Edo Tokyo Museum in Sumida-ku before, but this time the amount is overwhelming It was only the first half. By the way, the tiquette common to the four buildings around Tokyo Station is sold for 3,000 yen. The Mitsui Memorial Museum, the Bridgestone Museum, the Mitsubishi No. 1 Museum, and the Idemitsu Museum of Arts. Mitsubishi and Idemitsu are not Chuo-ku. After visiting the Mitsui Memorial Museum, you can shop at the Muromachi Cored on the opposite side. It's good to have a meal. It's good to eat here.
Yagenbori miscellaneous notes
Yagenbori Current Higashi Nihonbashi 2-chome neighborhood
Yagenbori was a digging near Ryogokubashi west stuff, and was named because the shape of the moat resembles Yakken. Yakken is a boat-shaped device that crushes medicinal species finely (from the Shinmei Dictionary).
It was the beginning that the first Karashiya Tokuemon created Shichimi pepper here, and it has continued since the taste of Edokko at that time came true. There is an explanation version on the right after going up the stairs of Yagenbori Fudoin. At present, there seems to be one "Oki Togarashi" facing Hamacho Riverside Street. If there is another, gomennasai! When I asked Ogi Togarashi, it was said that the chili shop in the area of Asakusa sold it under the product name `` Yagenbori '' became very famous. From there, it was transported by boat and unloaded to Yagenbori.
Yagenbori Fudoin is said to have been built for 420 years this year, and Yagenbori Fudoin is stored in Kuzuro by the large Indian monk capital of Negoro-ji Temple, who met the fire of Hideyoshi Toyotomi in 1585 (1585), guarding the statue and storing it in Kuzuro. Beginning to the eastern country, the temple built on the side of the Sumida River. Later, Fudoin head priest, who became the Tokyo branch of Hirama-ji in Kawasakidaishi in 1892 (1892), taught me interestingly. During the Edo period, it was very busy because it was adjacent to Ryogoku Hirokoji and also close to the Hanayanagi world of Yanagibashi. The transition from Negoro-ji to Mirokuji and Hirama-ji can't be written on this occasion, so it's not surprising. By the way, Mr. head priest of Fudoin is actually Kawasakidaishi Hirama-ji head priest, and Mr. head priest Fudoin is said to be the manager of the Tokyo branch in an easy-to-understand manner. In addition, there are monuments on the grounds of Fudoin Temple, such as the monument commemorating the birth of the monument of the birthplace of Juntendo University, and dedicated talks are held at Fudo-sama fair on the 28th of every month. Free of charge (from the Fudoin brochure)
The opposite side of Yagenbori Fudoin used to be Yonezawacho, where many geisha who went to a restaurant street in the vicinity of Yanagibashi lived in the past, and it seems that it was a town with a fairly white powder smell.
