St. Luke's Gallery - Shonoro Yamanaka's Works Exhibition

[Apricot peony] January 22, 2013 14:00

The cold weather is even more severe this winter.
Many people may have caught a cold and went to the hospital.
Recently, there seem to be many hospitals that decorate paintings so that patients and visitors can relax even a little, probably because of the idea of art therapy.
But isn't it rare that there are two "art galleries" itself, like St. Luke's International Hospital?

According to the gallery's guide, it is "a place where mental communication between patients and their families and medical staff is born with art", "Providing a space where patients can heal and calm, and improving the body from a mental point of view It is aimed at art therapy that leads to. "

The first gallery is located at the restaurant entrance on the first floor of the main building, and the second gallery is located in the corridor between the main building and the old building on the second floor, but both plates drawn by Dr. Hinohara are displayed, not only paintings, but also books and sculptures. , Crafts and other wonderful works that are relaxing are on display.

A painter from the local Hatchobori, Shonoro Yamanaka, is a person who gently paints small animals such as cats and dogs with a delicate touch with pastel.
He did not receive special education in painting, but happened to draw cats at home for rehabilitation, but this became his main business, and he became a painter after the age of 40.

Yuko Emon, a former NHK announcer who died of cancer, is also in charge of illustrations for the picture book "Rabbit no Yuk" that honors the importance of life and the affection of his brothers.

Many people have become fans, and this time it will surely soften the hearts of many people this time, I think that it will surely soften the hearts of many people .

Tsukiji Italian CAVATAPPI (Cavatappi)

[Apricot peony] January 17, 2013 09:00

Speaking of meals at Tsukiji, there are a strong image of sushi and seafood bowls on the fish shore, but there are many delicious shops in the area near Higashiginza and the area from the back of Honganji to St. Luke's, and even at night, even if there is a little expensive, lunch can be around 1,000 yen.

However, on Sundays and holidays, the situation changes completely.
Most of them are closed, or even if they are open, the menu will be different from weekdays.
On the fish shore, the number of shops that are open even on holidays and holidays has increased, but there are not many shops that are busy in small shops and where you can drink coffee after meals slowly.
When I thought, "Slowly calm down and lunch at Tsukiji on Sundays and holidays," I was in trouble because there was no suitable shop.

In such a situation, I found this CAVATAPPI (Cavatappi).

The name of the store is from a wine opener, and I love Italian with the owner chef who loves Sicily! It is a homey shop with 4 staff members.
The place is on the second floor of the building next to the main gate of Kyobashi Tsukiji Elementary School, which is a bit difficult to understand, but there are 28 seats at the counter and table seats, which is just the right size for a small party.

I made a reservation by the time I checked the business day, but when I told my friend who was supposed to come with me that I couldn't come, I said warm words, "It's a pity."
Neighbors were eating with a large number of children, but this kind of warm care is why the neighbors favor it.

On this day, I received a seasonal Hiroshima oyster and spinach peperoncino.
It's just 1,000 yen with vegetable salad and drinks.
The oysters are crisp, large grains, and the simple sauce enhances its taste.
The oysters were delicious~ It was a dish that seemed to be shy.

Regular holidays are irregular, and it is generally open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, but I think it is better to check for the time being.
