The only shrine dedicated to Hachimangu Shrine in Chuo-ku → Ginkgo Inari Shrine

[Old Counselor] March 22, 2013 09:00

Surrounded by six ginkgo trees in the immediate vicinity of my office

In Chuo-ku, there is Ginkgo Inari Shrine, the only shrine dedicated to Hachimangu Shrine.

I was interested, and after a little research, I was able to know the following:

History: The shrine hall was destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.
It was in Ansei 4 (1775) that enshrined deity was enshrined in the shrine, covering the sky at that time.

There is a large ginkgo towering ginkgo, and its age was estimated to be 3 to 400 years.

It is thought that the shrine was built before that.

This ginkgo Inari Shrine is the only shrine dedicated to Hachimangu Shrine in Chuo-ku.

In the Meiji era, the literary writer Junichirou Tanizaki enjoyed once a month of the Kagura of Ginkgo Yahata Shrine.

    I wrote it in "I'm a child."

Interest: Ginkgo Inari Shrine is a god of business prosperity from a nearby securities company in Kabuto-cho.

     Thank you very much.

It is also said that there are applications for donations from companies in other prefectures.

It is also worshiped by the residents of shrine parishioner as the god of prosperity and longevity.

A woman living nearby visited every day from a young age to a hundred years old, so she was healthy and 103 years old.

There is a real story that fulfills longevity.

A whale in Ningyocho?

[Old Counselor] February 24, 2013 09:00

Why is there a whale object (pictured) on the street corner of Ningyocho?
ck1207_1302222.jpg

A long time ago, the whole area of Ningyocho was the sea, and I thought that it was just a monument where whales were caught, but there was also the following episode about the relationship between dolls and whales.

In the Edo period, in Ningyocho, in addition to the Edo Kabuki huts called Ichimura-za and Nakamura-za, there were also huts such as Yukiza, a puppeteer from puppet ballad drama, and Satsuma-za, a puppeteer who produced dolls.

These puppeteers used elastic whale beards on the spring of the puppet doll to enable subtle neck movements, which can be said to be the life of the doll.

And the current name of Ningyocho became the official place name of Ningyocho in 1933, because there were many shops selling puppeteers, Hina doll, and handmade goods that make these dolls.

[Old Counselor] August 30, 2012 18:00

The Sumida River Terrace (Hamacho area) is one of my walking courses.

The Sumida River Terrace Gallery is located in the Hamacho area of this terrace, where you can enjoy the culture and cityscapes of the Edo period.

"Nishiki-e" and works of local elementary and junior high school graduates and current students are on display.

Here, from this "Nishiki-e", we will show you the night view of Meijiza 2 Yanagibashi in 1893.

Enjoy seafood from Hokkaido near Suitengu Shrine

[Old Counselor] June 23, 2012 08:30

This shop is just a short walk from Exit 6 of Suitengu Station on the Hanzomon Line.

The name of the shop is "Sonoda Fisheries", which runs a fishery processing business at the forest fishing port in Hakodate, Hokkaido, but also Mori Fishing Port.

It is also a "competitor" at Hakodate Fishing Port, and sends fresh Hokkaido local fish and seafood directly to Tokyo.

The chef here is a veteran chef who has been a sushi restaurant in this area (Karagara-cho) for many years. The taste of this seasoner is

We devise the seafood and seasonal ingredients that arrived on that day, and always strive to develop original dishes.

We have received high praise from our customers.

I would like to mention three of the specialty dishes of the restaurant.

①Noda's Sashimori: 5 types ¥2500 3 types ¥1500

Customers choose 5 or 3 kinds of seafood that arrived on that day. This is a surprise with a few extras.

Yes.

②All live Oshiro Shell Special ¥780

When eaten with sashimi, it looks like a "goat", and if baked, it looks like a "clam".

3 Comparison of 2 kinds of asparagus vegetables directly sent from Hokkaido ¥890.

Green = Niseko products → Raw, boiled VS White = Hobetsu product → Boiled

In addition, handmade daily menus, handmade reservation thank-you messages, etc. are warm to the employees of the shop.

You feel anxious and make the dishes here even more delicious.
