A meeting to wash Nihonbashi, a famous bridge

[Kyuta] July 24, 2012 08:30

On July 22nd (Sun), a cleaning party was held to wash Nihonbashi, an event once a year.

In this event, as the name implies, everyone cleans Nihonbashi.

For the Nihonbashi fire brigade, which "discharges water" water for cleaning

The children flock.

Whether the purpose is to wash the bridge or to bathe ...

It was a chilly day that I couldn't imagine in July, but the children were very fine.

The participants wanted to wash the "Japan Road Mark" and the center of the bridge where the plate was embedded was always full of people.

Participants bring their own deck brushes, one of them.  I found a prominent jumbo-sized deck brush!DSC_0064 - Copy. JPG

Its size is about 5 times larger than a regular deck brush (right photo, upper left)!

The owner of this brush, which reads, "Let's prevent furniture from falling, falling, and moving in preparation for an earthquake!" Was the Nihonbashi Fire Boys.

Finally, the Nihonbashi fire brigade discharged water on the signboard of "Nihonbashi" attached to the highway, and the road cleaning truck finished and washed the road surface, and the event ended successfully.

Please come to Nihonbashi, which has been polished shiny by the hands of local people.
