Speaking of Edo Nihonbashi, it was built just one month after Ieyasu Tokugawa opened the Edo Shogunate in Keicho 8 (1603), and the starting point of Gokaido (Hakone University Ekiden in New Year's Day) and the Nihonbashi Fish Bank (east side of Kitazume) entered Showa and went to the current Tsukiji Market.
It was the kitchen of Edo until it was relocated.

In Keicho 5 (1600), British William Adams, who drifted ashore on the Dutch ship Reefde, went to Edo, became a diplomatic adviser to Ieyasu Tokugawa, and was awarded the title of Samurai. Marriage with Snow, the adopted woman of Kageyu, and became Anjin Miura. The area around the site of his mansion in Nihonbashi Muromachi today was called Anjincho until the early Showa era.

The giboshi in Nihonbashi, built in 1657 by the carpenter Shiina Hyogo, was exhibited in the window display of the long-established lacquerware shop "Kuroeya" (east side of Minamizume). Time slip to Nihonbashi 352 years ago!

Opposite is the Japanese dining bar on the first floor of the Kokubun headquarters building, familiar with crab cans marked with K & K in 297, its name is "Nihonbashi Ichinoichi Ichinoichi", aracart with ingredients from each place name, sake sent directly from Kuramoto, premium wine from around the world, and jazz flow space is just a stylish gourmet!

The riverside along the Nihonbashi River (Horikawa), which was the waterway for the construction of Edo Castle, can be said to be the starting point for the development of a waterfront that will lead to the Tokyo Olympics scheduled to be invited in 2016.
