February 24, 2013. It is the day of the long-awaited Tokyo Marathon 2013. Today, the north wind is cold, so I can't wait for a runner at the Suitengu intersection before 10 o'clock, and go to Dolce on the 2nd floor of Mihara Domoto store. I ordered a hot coffeecafe and waited for the runner to come. I see, it's the best viewhappy01.

The photo on the left shows a group dancing flamenco in front of LEGARE Nihonbashi Ningyocho. The photo on the right shows the brass band of Nihonbashi Junior High School in Chuo Ward performing in front of Tornale Nihonbashihamacho. It was a very energetic performance.

Enchanted by the cheerful singing voice, I clapped and stepped for a while. Sayaki Sugawara's singing voice.

Oops, the top group is passing. It seems that the first yellow wearer won the championship.

Tokyo Marathon Course Walking 2013 From Tsukiji to Tsukuda

[Silver] February 26, 2013 08:29

On February 23, we visited Higashi-Inari in front of Ginza Mitsukoshi, purchased delicious tea at the site of Shozan Sakuma Juku in Kibiki-cho, Kabukiza near completion, baked sweet potatoes at Tsukiji's Sadamatsu, Maruyama Nori shop, and enjoyed walking slowly while visiting the historic sites on the precincts. After visiting the St. Luke's College of Nursing, St. Luke's Tower, etc., they purchased buns and other souvenirs at the Shiose Sohonke. It was very popular because there were many women's participation.

Lever fly at Midorikawa butcher shop, Futabaya, a Japanese confectionery founded in 1868, and some people run to Tokyo's famous Takasago Tsukuda Takago Yaki Pork to `` Meat Takasago '', and participants in this walking are gourmet. I felt that there were many. After all, it's best to walk happily.

At the goal of Tokyo Big Sight, we visited the booth of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association and purchased long-established masterpieces at the long-established Eitaro Sohonbo, Yamamoto-noriten, and Ninben in Nihonbashi.

A festival of art ♪ "Chuo-ku Circle Presentation"

[Shitamachi Tom] February 13, 2013 08:30

Chuo-ku has long been developed as the center of culture and performing arts. It is also a rich town with the stylish atmosphere of the city and the spirit of cherishing tradition.

P1120076_R.JPGThere are therefore various hobby and special skills enthusiasts in this town, and a variety of activities are being developed here and there.

The season of once-a-year presentation of circles registered as groups at the Social Education Center in Chuo-ku has come. Every year at this time, three "Social Education Centers" are held with recruiting members from their affiliated circles.

At the forefront, for the two days of Saturday, February 9 and 10 (Sun), a presentation of members belonging to [Tsukishima Social Education Center] was held in the hall on the 4th floor of the hall. I have seen the situation.

When we arrive at the venue, the audience seats are almost full. The family and friends of each circle member came to support me, and there were also local residents who really liked performing arts and came to enjoy it.

The program is the culmination of practice that each circle works on a daily basis. "Karaoke", "Tai Chi", "Dance", "Hula (Hawaiian Dance)" will continue, so you will not get tired of it. The sincere attitude of the performers will be conveyed.

P1120083_R.JPGIn the lobby, the members of the circle after the appearance praised each other for their enthusiasm, the difficulties of training, and the atmosphere was full of a relaxed atmosphere. I thought it was meaningful to further deepen exchanges between inhabitants of a ward through the presentation of such culture and performing arts.

Above all, you can even enviable the sense of fulfillment after completing your best performance and the sense of solidarity between your friends.

P1120082-2_R.JPGAfter this, "Circle Presentation" will be held from February 16 (Sat) to 17 (Sun), members of "Nihonbashi Social Education Center" and members of "Tsukiji Social Education Center" on 23 (Sat), Each presentation is scheduled. Commemorative of over 120,000 people in Chuo-ku Sakura at Tsukishima Daini Children's Park

[Mr.Chuo-ku] February 12, 2013 12:00

At Tsukishima Daini Children's Park in Chuo-ku, cherry trees (weeping cherry tree) seedlings are planted to commemorate the population of Chuo-ku exceeding 120,000 (the first time in 42 years since 1969).

Main changes in the population of Chuo-ku
1947: Approximately 115,000 people (at the birth of Chuo-ku)
1953: Approximately 170,000 people (maximum population so far)
1997: Approximately 70,000 people (the lowest population so far)
2006: Achieved “100,000 residents”
2008: Over 110,000
2011: Over 120,000

Chuo-ku has a population growth rate of 35.7% from 2000 to 2005, ranking first among approximately 2,000 municipalities nationwide, including administrative districts of government-designated cities.
In particular, the population of child-raising households in their 30s and 40s seems to continue to increase.
Based on this settled population, we expect the establishment of such parks and child care support facilities under a stable financial base.

Setsubun Suitengu Shrine

[Nathaly] February 12, 2013 08:30

February third is Setsubun.
The Setsubun event was held at a shrine in Chuo-ku, but I went to Suitengu.happy01

In Suitengu, celebrities don't sow beans, but the moderator is the gorgeous sign01voice actor Whale and the lead of bean-throwing ceremony. It's a very nice voice, and you'll get well when you listen.happy01

The bean sowing took place at 13:00 p.m. Beginning with the invited bean-throwing ceremony, about 10 people x 4 to 5 sets, bags containing Setsubun beans and candy are scattered. There are golden stickers on some of the scattered bean bags, and when you get them, you canhappy02notes exchange them for prizes. It feels like a little lottery (laughs) (I couldn't get them, but the prize seems to be a sweets set and stationeryshine.)

The concert was held from 13:30.
At first, I thought it was a shrine-like concert with performances by Gagaku, and after that, Shinichi Ishihara, singing the theme song of Kamen Rider AGITO, and Masako Shiono, a singer, sang songs, POPs, etc. The concert was full of content for both children and adults.notes

At the end of the concert, sowing was performed by general participants. If you wish, the general public can also participate in Setsubun (participation fee required). I participated last year on the scatter side, but I can have you purify in main hall or receive a sweeping bill after bean-throwing ceremony.

Usually, Suitengu Shrine is crowded with pregnant women, but it was an interesting day to see different scenery.
