I walked along the course of the Tokyo Marathon

[Apricot peony] February 26, 2014 09:00

On the 22nd day before the Tokyo Marathon, I participated in the walking of the Tokyo Marathon course, which Ginzo introduced on the correspondent blog.

From the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to the goal Tokyo Big Sight, the Tokyo Marathon course is divided into six and walked sequentially from Saturday, January 25 to February 22 (Sat), all courses It seems that those who participated will receive a completion prize.

I participated in the last course of "Tsukishima-Toyosu-Tokyo Big Sight".

At 12:50, waiting at the meeting place at Tsukishima Station Exit No. 3, people who walked "Ginza-Tsukuji-Tsukuda-Tsukishima" in the morning came and joined here.

It's start right away.

"In the morning course, there were Kabukiza, Honganji, Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine and historic sites, but the course in the future is a new land, so I only walked until last year.

But this year, the Tokyo Olympics will be decided, and we plan to have many facilities in this area, so let's walk while imagining the future!"

In the quote of the guide, almost the first-time participants talked about memories of the old Olympics and had a friendly atmosphere.

First of all, from Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, which can be said to be the biggest difficulty for runners, pass the up and down of Asashio Ohashi, cross the Harumi Bridge (not Harumi Bridge), and head to Toyosu.

From here, take a little off the course and go to the square in front of LaLaport, which faces Tokyo Bay.

Here, there was a crane and a huge ship screw to commemorate the once-built shipyard.

The weather was very good, so I took a break while watching Rainbow Bridge and Fuji TV over there.

Then, after returning to the course again, he went on a wide road.

When I walked on a vacant lot in the buildings, saying, "It seems that there will be a stadium for XX here," I arrived at Ariake in no time.

But at the last end, a considerable steep slope was waiting.

I haven't walked a lot of distance, but it's a bit! I think the runners are very hard because I thought it was enough.

And finally the goal!

Perhaps there was a security problem, there was a fence in front of the goal, and I could only go near the gate of 195m, but for the time being, everyone took a commemorative photo and broke up.

When I actually walked, I was able to feel the feeling of up and down, and it was a valuable experience.

By the way, after the walking, it was said that "Tokyo Marathon Expo" was being held at Big Site, so I stopped here.

At the entrance there is a head priest of Daikanonji Temple in Ningyocho, famous for the agile god "Skanda", and you will pray for your wishes to come true, a huge Ema appears!

I have been praying for my friends who are running.

ck1203_20140225 (6). jpg ck1203_20140225 (2). jpg

ck1203_20140225 (7). jpgAt the venue, in addition to exhibiting the history of the Tokyo Marathon, booths such as official support companies, companies dealing with general sports-related goods and food, co-sponsored media and marathon-related organizations, Tokyo-related booths, etc. lined up and are surprised at the bustle!

At the booth in Chuo-ku, in addition to long-established stores such as Yamamoto-noriten, tourist associations also exhibited.

We sold original furoshiki, etc. with familiar stylish designs.

It was a very exciting day from the day before the start, but I'm surprised to be able to enjoy so much even if I don't actually run.

If you win all the courses, there is no doubt that the TV broadcast and watching eyes will be different again.

Established in 350, along the banks of the Kyobashi and Daikon Rivers

[Shitamachi Tom] February 19, 2014 14:00

Colored by numerous history, Chuo-ku encounters interesting historical sites and places related to wherever you walk. On this day, I walked around the Kyobashi area.

 Kyobashi Main Pillar 201402_R.JPG

In recent years, redevelopment has progressed around here, and [Kyobashi Square Garden], which has a studio with [FM Chuo] closely related to sightseeing correspondents, has become a new landscape.

Near the building, the familiar "Kyobashi main pillar" is left. "Kyobashi" was built over the Kyobashi River, which was reclaimed for the construction of the Metropolitan Expressway during the previous Olympics. It has been more than half a century since the river disappeared in 1959 (Showa 34). However, if you look at this main pillar, you can remember the past.

Old Kyobashi. jpgIn the past, there was a vegetable unloading area on the northwest side of the Kyobashi River, and it was very busy called [daikon riverbank]. They traded vegetables brought from rural areas near Tokyo here, and it is the prototype of the fruit and vegetable market today. In the past, a lot of suburban vegetables such as Kameido Daikon and Nerima Daikon were transported using water transportation, and it seems that they were called "daikon riverbank" from that impression.

Eventually, after the Great Kanto Earthquake, the functions of the market were passed on to Tsukiji and Kanda.

Kyobashi Daikon Riverbank 1_R.JPGIt seems that this year is the 350th anniversary of the establishment of the radish riverbank. (Because there is a theory that February is the month of birth, now is exactly that time!)

I feel the weight when I hear that it goes back to the age of the 4th shogun of Edo shogunate, Iezuna. To commemorate this, the members of the Kyobashi Daikon Riverside Association have been holding a commemorative event to distribute radish and various vegetables free of charge from two years ago in the middle of every month. February was scheduled for the 14th (Fri), but unfortunately it seems to have been canceled due to heavy snow. The next event will be held from noon on March 14 (Fri), so please visit us once.

Kyobashi Daikon Riverbank 2_R.JPGA monument is erected on the site of [Daikon Riverside], giving you a sense of history and personality. In addition, local people plant radish in planters after this history and grow it. I look forward to being able to reproduce a small [daikon riverbank] in modern times.

Then, as an aside, a restaurant called [Manchichi], which was located in this [daikon riverbank] appears in the historical novel's monument "Kihei Criminal Book". This store, which is closed in summer, is said to have been famous for its rabbit soup. It is a well-known spot for Onihei fans.

In the Edo period, carnivores were prohibited in principle, but it is known that they were eaten in various ways. "Rabbit" was also a kind of bird, and it was an OK sign. Therefore, rabbits are counted as "one bird, two birds ..." just like birds.

The Kyobashi neighborhood walks while thinking about such things. After that, whether to head to Ginza or Nihonbashi, for me, it is also Edo's "Shimonbashi".

Snow and Rain Examination Day [Chuo-ku Tourism Examination]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] February 15, 2014 17:22

kank1.JPG

On Saturday, February 15, I took the Chuo-ku Tourism Test for the first time in three years.

In addition to the snow from the previous day, it is difficult to go to the test site due to rain and wind on the day, disruption of transportation, and it is difficult to go to the test site.

My test site was the Royal Park Hotel in Nihonbashikakigaracho, so I headed to the venue while the Ningyocho-dori shopping association was removing snow.

The photo shows "Koho Inu" from Suitengu, which has been moved to the lobby of the hotel at the examination site following the rebuilding of Suitengu Shrine.

At the venue, I felt that the absence was noticeable due to the weather.

The test took place in 90 minutes from 11:00, 30 minutes behind the initial schedule. There are 100 questions in the mark sheet method of choice for limbs.

After the exam is over, you will receive an answer sheet on the spot, so you can score yourself immediately.

I must have passed ... but as a tourist correspondent, I am a little disappointed that I wanted to aim for perfection.

After all, it's a rule to read the text carefully.

Acceptance announcement is scheduled for early March.

Christmas rose Exhibition [Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Building Rooftop]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] February 10, 2014 10:25

It's really cold days here, but do you know the perennial plant called Christmas rose, which blooms healthy without being cold?

ros2.JPG

It is a popular horticultural variety with many enthusiasts because it is a perennial plant of the family Cylinderaceae, resistant to cold, has a long flowering season, and blooms from winter to spring when there are few flowers.

There are about 4 plants in my home, and they are hard-working shops that make the lonely garden in winter gorgeous (although they do not think they are hard-working separately).

The Chelsea Garden, which is located on the roof of the main building of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, has been holding the "Christmas rose Exhibition" since February 5 (until March 2) Chelsea Garden is an instructor of NHK's Hobby Garden. Kaoru Arishima is a rose advisor. At the exhibition, enthusiasts and breeders bring their specialties.

The Chelsea Garden is now known as the Christmas rose Collection, and the Christmas rose fairs of various flower shapes and colors are being held (also until March 2).

By the way, the "Christmas rose Exhibition" will also be held at Jindai Botanical Park in Chofu and Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. February 11-16 (Kojiro) and February 21-23 (Sunshine), respectively. During this period, the "ladder" of the Christmas rose exhibition is also possible in Nihonbashi, Chofu and Ikebukuro.

Why don't you go out to Nihonbashi to see the Christmas rose blooming ahead of other flowers?

For the first time in 41 years, "Mental Mystery Solving Silk"-February Hanagata Kabuki-Kabukiza Theater

1. February 7, 2014 09:00

The day after the spring of snow is clear and the weather is fine, but the winter performance trembles in the cold wind that seems to be coming to the Kabukiza daytime section.

100_1343.JPG

The topic of this month's Kabukiza is that the young Hanagata will perform the performance of the daytime section "Shinko Mystery Solving Silk", and at night, "Aoto Draft Hana Red Aya Painting" and the north and south, silent Ami works. In particular, the afternoon session “Mental Mystery Discolored Silk” was the first time in a long time since the previous performance was held since the National Theater in 1973. According to an interview with Kikunosuke's newspaper, the last time, "I will play the role played by my grandfathers with my grandchildren, Somegoro, this time I will play the role played by my grandfathers." A tour unique to the world of Kabuki. Mr. Shochiku's catch is "The North-South Phantom masterpiece in which the thread intertwined with the whereabouts of the colored paper of the heirloom that turns three turns around and melts", but Mr. Somegoro! As you can see the surprising changes and the sighing beauty of Kikunosuke and Shichinosuke, they quickly reached the corner. "East and West" and "North and South Up" played by Somegoro-san is fashionable and applause for the audience.

100_1344.JPG

Because it is the leading kyogen of "Festival Sachichi" (written by Shinshichi Kawatake), which is sometimes performed, the plot is very different, so just in case.

The Kabukiza performance in February will be until the 25th.
For inquiries, please contact Ticket Hon Shochiku 0570-000-489 10:00~18:00
