Hamarikyu Garden is from spring to summer

[Shitamachi Tom] April 21, 2014 16:00

Hamarikyu Garden is one of the most famous parks in Tokyo, but at this time, the "Hamarikyu Flower and Green Gathering" (until May 6) will be held, and residents of Chuo-ku will bring an admission numbered ticket It is a very good opportunity because you can enter for free.

Hamarikyu 201404 (2) jpgJust from April 19th (Sat) to 20th (Sun), an event called "Edo Bunkamura in Hamarikyu Garden" was held. It was sponsored by the Chuo-ku Shopping Street Federation, and also supported by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association. It is a plan to enjoy a beautiful holiday by touching food, play, and crafts while touching the emotions of the Edo period.

At the event venue, attractions were held, exhibition booths of famous stores were lined up, and many customers visited. A booth of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association was also set up, and a happy voice was heard at the corner where you could experience "Throwing Fan".

Hamarikyu 201404 (3) jpgIn the park, Satozakura is about to be watched, but the wisteria has begun to bloom, and the greenery of the trees has become even darker, and the scent of early summer seems to be filling at a stretch. Just this time, it is the transition from late spring to early summer, and while being wrapped in warm sunshine, sometimes chilly sea breezes flow from the sea, giving you a sense unique to this season.

Hamarikyu 201404 (4) jpg

A little more you will be able to enjoy hydrangea and Japanese iris too. It is a great place to enjoy the refreshing colors of this season.

The recommended walking course is to extend your legs to Ginza and Tsukiji on the way back and forth of Hamarikyu. One of the charms of Chuo-ku is that you can enjoy shopping and eating while wearing an urban atmosphere close to you after getting acquainted with the natural flowers.

It's been a good season! Please come and go out.

[Silver] April 20, 2014 14:00

"Edo Bunkamura in Hamarikyu Onshi Garden" was held for the first time and went on April 19, the first day.

At first, there was congratulatory address from Mayor Yada and other guests. Miss Chuo-ku Tourism Ambassador also adds flowers.

The concept this time is

1.Taste food culture

2.Knowing Edo products

3.It is about to experience Edo performing arts.

After the opening remarks, wadaiko's performance was powerful and energetic.

In the sense of knowing Edo products, I purchased Tabi from Onoya Sohonten.

This small tabi has a very popular reputation for "storeing feet (money)".

At Ginza Hiranoen, we purchased delicious Japanese tea and enjoyed it the next day.

There is a famous store in Chuo-ku in the "Edo Nikiwai Store Corner".

Well, what would you like to have a fun lunch?

I purchased a sukiyaki lunch box and a Sukeroku lunch box from Ningyocho Imahan.

Sukiyaki was very delicious because large Japanese beef was seasoned elegantly.

Sukeroku puts sukiyakiniku on Inari-san, and roast beef-style nigiri sushi was also delicious.

I look forward to this event going on every year.

Why don't you go to see Mumin and his friends? -Mumin Exhibition-Ginza Matsuya

1. April 18, 2014 14:00

When I got off the elevator on the 8th floor, a long line and a placard called "Here's last" jumped into my eyes. "Yeah!" The line at the entrance of the Mumin exhibition venue on the first day of today is waiting for the cash register of the person who purchased Mumin goods. It's 12 o'clock now. It's open today at 10 o'clock, but this line!

100_1385.JPG

This year, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tove Janson (1914-2001), the original author of Mumin, who has been loved by people all over the world for generations, a large retrospective exhibition was held in Finland, where Mumin was first translated and published in Japan, and a commemorative exhibition was held. There are 200 original drawings, including 150 unpublished illustrations and sketches of Mumin fairy tales.

When you enter the opening, most of the visitors are young women (it's surprising to see only such young women). I'm going to eat one by one. Mumin Daddy and Mom, Snufkin, Sniff, Little Mii, Snowk's Miss, and Mrs. Mimura are all in good shape.

The diorama of Moominvalley, the statue of Mumin, and the exit are full of Mumin goods besides Mumin's fairy tale series. Mumin's fairy tale series has exceeded 10 million copies since it was first translated and published in 1964. The binding is the same as the old version, and when you turn it over, time trip to childhood at once. Why don't you go out to immerse yourself in the nostalgic world of Mumin and his friends?

Speaking of which, what is the next section manager who was called "Mumin Daddy" now?

Calligraphy Exhibition [Gallery Ginza]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] April 16, 2014 14:00

papie1.JPG

At the gallery "Gallery Ginza" in Ginza 2-chome, "Cligraphy Keiko Matsuda Works Exhibition" is being held from April 15th (Tuesday), I visited the gallery on the evening of the first day of the event.

The moment I entered, I was wrapped in a gentle pastel-colored atmosphere.

papie2.JPG

"calligraphy" means "beautiful writing" in Greek, and it is said that Western Japanese calligraphy, which expresses the letters of the alphabet beautifully by hand.

papie3.JPG

The work of Keiko Matsuda, president of the Western Handwriting Studio, is so elaborate that I can't think of it as handwriting, while on the other hand, I can feel the warmth of handwriting.

The contents of the written text are the words of the Bible, excerpts of the works of famous writers, can be appreciated as paintings, and you can enjoy the words slowly (under the work, Japanese translation is attached).

papie4.JPG

The color of the characters differs for each work, and when I asked, itArt was written with watercolor paint instead of ink, or the balance between the picture and the text is exquisite.

There are many typefaces, and if the typeface is different, the atmosphere will change.

papie5.jpg

The exhibition period is until the 20th (Sun), from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (last day, 5:00 pm).

The season has improved Please go to Ginza to taste the elegant Western Japanese calligraphy world.

*In addition, with your consent, we took a picture of the venue. Thank you very much.
