Takarada Ebisu Shrine Betara City 2017 Festival, a local event

[Silver] October 24, 2017 18:00

I went to "Bettara City" at Takarada Ebisu Shrine. There were many stores in front of the site of Ozu Dainichi Nyoraiido from Ozu Washi, and their proud products were sold at low prices and service prices.

Well, in front of shrine hall of Takarada Ebisu Shrine. In Japanese lantern, you can see the names of famous local restaurants from the names of Kabuki actors.

In the news written on the yellow paper we received, "Betara City and Ebisu-ko", the auspiciousness of Takarada Shrine Ebisu God and the origin of Otemmacho" is written. This year is an important annual event for approval to prepare for the New Year even at the end of the year and celebrate the New Year.

By no means, young people are not just trying to make the children of both families with shallow radish (bettara) and teasing them on the sleeve of a kimono (if they fall in love, they try to mischief and attract interest).

There were a lot of favorite Betara pickles shops that I loved.

I visited Ebisu God and walked with a lot of store openings.

I arrived at the storefront of the brush specialty store "Edoya". It is a long-established store founded in 1718.

In addition to practical brushes, brushes for women's skin and eyebrows were offered at special prices.

The store continued to Sugimori Shrine, and while the tent was overhanged, many customers seemed to be having fun chatting and cheering on the festival's feast.

I realized that this traditional festival and event is a fun festival in which the town and the residents are united.

Of course, a free tour bus will be operated again this year. Every 15 minutes.

This bus will be accompanied by a bus guide volunteer by a correspondent of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, and will guide you to the highlights of Chuo-ku.

Rosmari is one of them, and we are preparing for the explanation again this year.

※ In some cases, bus guide volunteers may not be on board. Thank you for your understanding.

For more information, please see page 7 of the event guide.

The following points have been changed since this year.

① Unlike last year, it is a route that goes back and forth between Harumi Wharf and Higashinihombashi Station.

If you wish to travel via Harumi Wharf, you will need to change the bus at Harumi Wharf once.

In addition, since only one route is operated, there may be cases where it will be a detour to the desired destination.

② We will use a Toei bus from this year instead of a medium-sized sightseeing bus until last year.

So, the bus stop also uses the Toei bus, so the location is different from last year.

Please be careful not to make a mistake. The staff will guide you.

③ As the type of the bus has changed, unlike last year, you will be able to ride in a wheelchair.

In addition, the stroller will be able to board without folding it.

You can also ride with your pet.

Up to two wheelchairs, strollers should be fixed with auxiliary belts inside the car, and pets should be used in cages.

The number of passengers has also increased significantly.

Standing rides will also be possible from this year.

However, from the simultaneous clockwise and counterclockwise operation until last year, the number of operations will be reduced by half.

Please be careful about congestion.

However, since it is a Toei bus, I think that getting on and off will surely be smoother than the sightseeing bus until last year.

※For details, please ask the staff who guide you at each bus stop.

We are waiting for you at the bus stop marked with the "Marugoto Museum".

For the location of the bus stop, please see the "Overall Map" in the event guide.

Information is also available.

※ There will be one additional means of transportation from this year.

You can use the community cycle of Chuo-ku. The first 100 people on a free one-day pass will be distributed.

As a convenient means of transportation on the day other than the bus, it is possible to go directly to the event where you want to go.

For more information, please see page 9 of the event guide.

Sugimori Shrine Bettara City 2017 Lottery

[Silver] October 23, 2017 14:00

Sugimori Shrine has been in Fukutoku since the Edo period. It has been worshiped as the god of business. Every year in October, the Ebisu Shrine Festival is held grandly.

The shrine is home to shrine office, Kagura Hall, basin and torii gate, and is registered in Tangible Cultural Property, Chuo-ku.

Next to the torii gate, the names of the shrine's pupils are listed, and you can see that famous Nihonbashi companies such as Mitsukoshi are worshiped.

1508495062566.jpg

In Kagura Hall, there was a musical accompaniment celebrating the festival. I'd like you to pass it on to future generations.

1508495117825.jpg

Sugimori Shrine is also famous as a place for the lottery performances that became popular during the Edo period, and the "Tomizuka Monument" tells the prosperity of the time on the premises.

That's why we distributed a golden "rich lottery" embroidered with "rich".

I wish you all the best.

◆Local Tenmonkan special exhibition "Ayumi in Chuo-ku, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the enforcement of the ward system-Postwar development and changes in towns" is being held!

[Akira Makibuchi / Sharakusai] October 23, 2017 09:00

At the Chuo Ward Folk Tenmonkan (Time Dome Akashi), special exhibition "Ayumi in Chuo-ku, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the enforcement of the ward system-development and changes in towns-" began on October 21 (Saturday). This year marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of Chuo-ku, and it features Ayumi of the development of Chuo-ku from post-war reconstruction to today. The exhibition period is closed on Monday until Sunday, December 10 and admission is free. Click here.>>

0913_674_171021kusei70ayumi.jpgChuo-ku was born on March 15, 1947 (1947). At that time, under the occupation of the Allied Forces, the main buildings in the ward were seized, and the general public lived a tough life after the end of the war. Under such circumstances, measures aimed at post-war reconstruction are on display. It is such as organizing the Ginza open-air street and reclamation of rivers. In 1952, the restoration of Japan's sovereignty led to the path to economic development.

At the Tokyo Olympics held in 1964 (1964), infrastructure development for urban renovation was mainly carried out, and construction of the Metropolitan Expressway was a representative measure. At the same time, transportation, such as the opening of the subway, was also a turning point from conventional shipping to land transportation. Urban development in the coastal area east of Tsukishima is also progressing. The construction of Harumi Wharf and the opening of an international trade fair venue can be seen, indicating the departure from industrialization.

The exhibition features the growth and changes of the Kabuto-cho financial district and the prosperity of the department stores as the bustling city of Chuo-ku as a commercial district. I look at the city that has been reborn as a result of active redevelopment from then to recent years.

The special exhibition exhibition featured some of the postwar development of Chuo-ku, which seemed to focus more on infrastructure and hardware. The major change after the end of the war was the creation of a free society. Culture and education policies have changed dramatically. There were many movie companies, movie theaters, and popular entertainment facilities in Chuo-ku. In addition, it is a place where media relations such as newspapers and television-related gather as information dissemination bases. We must not forget such a point of view. @ Akira Makibuchi

[Silver] October 22, 2017 18:00

At Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, two lions are wearing a tie and fashionable, so I went inside the store for a while.

When I asked the guide lady, it was said that he was doing JAZZ WEEK, but there is a station information board next to the reception!

1508494867555.jpg

I got a flyer with a yellow cover. In the design of the cover, surrounded by the tracks of the Yamanote Line.

"Discover! Tekuteku Ticket Journey Kyobashi-Marunouchi-Tokyo Station-Yaesu-Let's collect Nihonbashi Memorial Replica Tickets (hard tickets) and tour the city! "

It seems interesting, and immediately I visited five spots in the Nihonbashi area and got a hard ticket.
