Free rest area "Oasis Cafe"

[Akoba Peony] 09:00 on August 21, 2013

This summer is more like heat than heat.

The strong sunlight that makes you tired of every day shines.

Even if you are told on TV or radio, "Do not go outside as much as possible", there is nothing to do with this.

It is said that parasols for men are increasing sales, but still I want to take a break in the heat for a while, but I can't just enter a coffee shop so much.

Thank you for the free rest space.

The Oasis Cafe, a daily sports center located on the way to St. Luke International Hospital from the Hatchobori exit at Tsukiji Station on the Hibiya Line, is a free space that anyone can use.

At the entrance, it says, "Please use it as a free space for breaks and meetings." There is a vending machine in the space of about 10 tsubo, and there is a smoking space in the back.

It is said that "you can also bring your lunch box", but on weekdays, there is a lunch box shop at the entrance on a daily basis.

The price is around 500 yen, which is quite reasonable.

You'll also have trouble going to buy it.

It seems that there are many people from nearby companies who use it, and it is full at noon, but during the Bon holiday, I was able to relax slowly.

Even if you are going to St. Luke International Hospital or Public Health Center, it is a great space when you want to take a break even though it is close to the station.

ck1203_130820 (3). jpgYou can see the greenery of Tsukiji River Park from the glass windows, and even though the land price is high in Chuo-ku, I hope that there will be more space like this.

Open time

Weekdays from 8:00 to 18:00

Saturday from 8:00 to 16:00

Except for garbage from vending machines, please take it home.

Hello, this is Tsukishima's turtle "Pon-chan".

[kimitaku] 10:00 on August 20, 2013

DVC00184-kame4.jpg
A big turtle was taking a walk around 6 o'clock on a hot summer evening.

When I asked the master, the name was "Pon-chan" of a turtle.

I'm just taking a walk on Tsukishima 3-chome toward Nishinaka Shopping Street.

I was walking around the sidewalk while looking at the front and back of the left foot alternately and energetically.

 ・・・When you ask your age,

 He was 17 years old.

The turtle, which was small enough to put on her palm, has grown little by little every year, and now it is so much more. ・・・・

DVC00185-kame3.jpg The master was speaking with his eyes closed.

・・Just like my child...

The adults passing by

"Oh,"

"Why a turtle on Tsukishima ..."

DVC00188-kame.jpg

 The children go with "Pon-chan".

  My husband,

 "Pon-chan, everyone,"

 "Yes, that's okay..."

The children were put on "Pon-chan" and

Ohashagi.

I try to capture the figure of a turtle walking on my mobile phone, but walking is faster than thinking.

DVC00187-5.jpg When you set up front and turn your phone, it immediately goes up, and rushes forward,

At the end of the day, I couldn't get the turtle's smile.

  After a while, "Pon-chan"

I was watched by the gentle gaze of everyone in Shimomachi Tsukishima, turned around the alley and headed home.

“Pon,” you will always be fine.

I went to the inhabitant of a ward health village "Villa Motosu" in Chuo-ku!

[Good weather] 09:00 on August 12, 2013

Mount Fuji was registered in World Cultural Heritage at the end of June. The World Cultural Heritage also includes Fuji Five Lakes, including Lake Motosuko.

I went to "Chuo Kumin Health Village" Villa Motosuko "" on the banks of Lake Motosuko with several acquaintances. I've always said that there are wonderful facilities and many places to visit around, including the quiet Lake Motosuko, but this time I was able to get the opportunity to visit in early summer.

ck1308_20130808 (1). jpg "Villa Motosu" was reopened on March 24, 2013.

Fujiya Hotel, which has a history of 135 years, is in charge of operation and service. We tasted both Japanese and Western foods at the restaurant, but I was impressed that the meal for two days and one night was a wonderful taste anyway. (The photo on the right is from the pamphlet)

Transportation from Tokyo

・By car, get off at the Lake Kawaguchi Interchange on the Chuo Expressway, run on Route 139, and it takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes from Tokyo to the hotel.

・By train, change to the Fujikyu Line at Otsuki Station on the JR Chuo Line and get off at Kawaguchiko Station, take a local bus, get off at Motosu Iriguchi, and walk for 20 minutes. It's about 3 hours from Tokyo.

・There is a direct bus service from Chuo-ku. The boarding place goes around Nihonbashi, Tsukishima and Kyobashi in the ward, and is very convenient because it departs in front of the Yaesu Fujiya Hotel near the south exit of Yaesu at Tokyo Station.

The price is

People outside the ward are a little higher than inhabitants of the ward and working in the ward, but when we stayed, people from other wards also came.

The room

ck1308_20130808 (2). jpgJapanese-style room (10 tatami mats), Japanese-Western style room (6 tatami mats + 2 beds), Western-style room (2 beds), Japanese-style room "Motosu" (10 tatami mats + 8 tatami mats), Western-style room "Fuji" (2 beds + living room), Japanese-Western style room "Sakura" (8 tatami mats + 2 beds), so I was able to rest widely and slowly.

In the forest, there are two wonderful cottages, one building has a capacity of 10 people, with a bath, toilet, kitchen, terrace, and barbecue facilities.

The area around the restaurant was a large, large transparent glass, and the fresh green forest shines beautifully, and I was able to feel really refreshing and refreshing.

When I visited the hotel, there were tennis courts, parking lots, training rooms, lounges and audio rooms, great hall and training rooms, large public bath and family bath as well as cycling bicycles.

large public bath is not natural hot spring, but the beautiful fresh green forest shines through the large glass windows of the large bathhouse, and I felt refreshed in the early morning.

From the courtyard, a Western-style hotel was beautifully shining on the lawn.

In the early morning, we took a walk around Lake Motosuko. It was a wonderful lake water combined with the depth and transparency of 138 meters, one of the best in Japan. Mount Fuji on the back of the 1,000 yen bill nodded that it was a scenery from the north shore of Lake Motosuko.

In addition, advance reservations are required, but there is a tour of nature guides for a fee. The contents of the guide include around Lake Motosu, the sea of trees in Aokigahara, and visiting historical sites related to the Takeda Shingen of Furin Volcano.

We had a dedicated microbus at the hotel, and on the day of arrival, we visited "Fuji Kachoen" in Asagiri Highland, Fujinomiya City, the western foot of Mount Fuji. In addition to 1,300 begonia plants, a stunning large greenhouse with many flowers, 39 owl and earthworms from around the world welcomed us. There were many highlights, and the tour time that the driver told me was not enough.

The next day, we visited "Saiko Iashi no Sato". It was an experience-based facility that reproduced the rural scenery that could be called "hometown of Japan".

ck1308_20130808 (6). jpg

There seems to be a lot of highlights around the hotel. Why don't you use this wonderful inhabitant of a ward health village in Chuo-ku?
