A base for local travel in the city center. An interesting hostel in Bakurocho, a wholesale district!

[Shiba Inu] February 27, 2017 09:00

Recently, there has been a series of fashionable hostels that can be easily used in the "super city center" area around Tokyo Station. The feature of these hostels is that they are made with a focus on mobility for those who want to experience the city from morning to night, or from night to morning. What I want is not a luxury, but a cozyness and freshness of information! It's very popular with tourists.

The pioneer of this trend was in the wholesale district, Bakurocho! "IRORI" opened at the end of 2015.

It is a large guest house built by renovating a 40-year-old building and can accommodate about 70 people. It starts at 2800 yen per night! The management body is R.Project Co., Ltd., which has launched a number of projects to rediscover the charms of various parts of Japan. Mr. Dai Tamesue, a medalist, is also a member of the board.

There is a reception and a cafe on the first floor. There is a real Irori in the entrance space! They are going to bake fish here in the morning and evening. Furniture and interiors have local products from various places, and have plenty of seasonal feeling.

This cafe and lounge is also available to ordinary guests who are not staying. Every day, popular shops from all over the country go on business trips to provide delicious food and drink. The price is also affordable! The coffee is carefully brewed over time every cup, and it is very delicious.

And the very recommended reason for general use of IRORI's cafe is that there are a lot of free papers and tourist maps!

There are many information magazines, although useful contents are covered not only for tourists but also for neighbors. You can enjoy it just by reading them while drinking coffee at the end of Irori. There are people who send this much maniac information and live information of Chuo-ku....I'm also surprised at that.

IMG_8204.jpgBoth tourists and locals.

It is also a place where you can feel the local culture other than Tokyo.

Please go to "IRORI", where many "people who want to taste Tokyo" come and go regardless of age, gender, regardless of nationality, come and go. Please visit this website for information on the day's cafe menu and accommodation information!

Do you know "Sashicho-san"? Marunaka Corporation

1. February 26, 2017 09:00

Recommended for those who say "the toes are long and ordinary tabi have tight fingers." It is not used in large quantities like those who do arts, so it is suitable for those who take a foot mold at a tabi specialty store and order it. It seems that "finger length tabi" has been around for a long time, but recently demand has increased rapidly for young people and foreigners. While walking around the wholesaler street in Yokoyamacho, I found a shop with lots of tabi. When asked, "Is it retailing also done?" I asked you with confidence with the answer "Of course!" I asked for a cute "Sashicho" immediately. It seems to be "making only the toe part 5mm longer with normal size". In addition, it's a wholesaler, so it's a bargain that surprises you than the usual selling price. It was a kimono shop, but there were plenty of accessories, and when I asked to pick up "Sashicho-san", I had this and smiled unintentionally. Of course, thanks to Mr. Sashicho, he was released from many years of pain in his fingers. It is a really recommended shop for those who are wearing kimonos.

A nursery school in a park in Ginza [Mizutanibashi Park]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] February 17, 2017 16:00

There was an announcement that a nursery will be created in Mizutanibashi Park, a municipal park located between Ginza 1-chome, Chuo-dori and Showa-dori.

mizutan020.JPG

It seems that this nursery school is scheduled to open in October 2019.

It is said that it will also have a temporary custody function for children for shoppers and tourists visiting Ginza.

mizutan030.JPG

In Chuo-ku, regarding the establishment of this nursery school, `` We will expand the high-quality space and high functions with relaxation and moisture appropriate for Ginza, respond to various needs, make use of good location access, and wait children The purpose is to develop a nursery school as an initiative to eliminate the problem and contribute to the enhancement of the child-raising environment. "

Below is an image of the nursery school.

The facility is a multi-story floor about the third floor, and the rooftop is open to the public as a park.

It seems that the number of child-raising households is increasing due to the development of tower apartments in the city, and it is a wonderful idea that can effectively utilize the land and solve the problem of waiting children.

Chuo-ku Tourist Information Center @ Kyobashi Edgran

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] February 7, 2017 16:00

I walked Chuo-dori for about 15 minutes from Nihonbashi and visited the Chuo-ku Tourist Information Center.

Located on the left side of Meijiya, many office workers visited this building to enjoy lunch.

A lot of sightseeing materials are lined up at the Chuo-ku Tourist Information Center on the first basement floor, and it seems that foreigners such as Chinese customers visiting Japan during this spring festival are also visiting.

Please take a picture of the center (sample sushi is well made).
