１．The story of Kintsuba

　

A round shape in the shape of a sword tsuba. It is made of thinly stretched wheat dough and baked with sesame oil. We have not changed the manufacturing method from Edo.

The company name Eitaro was originally "Izutsuya".

In the past, near the bustling Nihonbashi Fish Bank, there was a sightsee hut, just around Futon Nishikawa-san, Cored Nihonbashi. I was selling Kintsuba stalls on the road called "Kiharadana". Karuko, who works on the fish shore, is especially proud of the transportation business that is proud of now, and Omeen and this Kintsuba are good, not only good, but also big and hungry, so Eitaro and Eitaro were very popular, as if they were a bit clogged when they were hungry.

　

It is Kintsuba with such a history. Mr. Eitaro, who also existed at that time, also remains in a round shape.

In the Edo period, there are anecdotes that were also written in Kawayanagi and popular songs.

２．The story of Umeboshi candy

"Shi" of Umeboshi candy. This is used for the pawn shop's "shi" or for shiruko. I use this as a guess so that I don't become "dying, DIE".

　

Eitaro continues to adhere to Edo's manufacturing method. The timing of boiling down the syrup on a high temperature open fire and dropping it from the pot is worth a look of the craftsman's eyes. When the temperature and hardness are moderate, molded into triangles.

　

Triangle. It is a gift of careful not to damage the mouth and to prevent the candy from missing. Also, the fact that the mouth is not rough is evidence of high sugar purity. In the Meiji and Taisho eras when cosmetics were scarce, the upper geisha Maiko and others said that if they applied this candy to their lips and then put on lipstick, the lips did not get rough and the red glowed, so they bought them for Tokyo souvenirs.

Speaking of Hagi ware, wabisabi. It's in the opposite direction. Meanwhile, a pop, cute and slightly poisonous color Hagi ware appears. The Hagi ware, which has often been talked about among lovers, is Tsukasa Kaneko's work! The exhibition and sale of Tsukasa Kaneko was held in Ginza Mitsukoshi.

There is also a gacha.

Kaneko is from Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and is still working with an atelier in Hagi City. It's often talked about, but it's hard to actually see it in Tokyo. Ginza Mitsukoshi has already ended, but Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi will start an exhibition and sales event in late July! Before that, I would like to introduce Kaneko's work.

First of all, this is the very popular teapot.

There is a tea strainer net inside, so you can put tea leaves as it is. And the lid can be bought in combination freely. It's easy to hold and all are cute.

Next, it's a platter. Please take a look at it. It is very elaborate, made by hanging paints one by one and rotating 360 degrees.

Little size set of tea cups and saucers. It seems to have been made as a milk pitcher, but it can also be used for children. The price is reasonable, so it will be appreciated if you prepare a full set and give it a gift.

This is a kaleidoscope.

This exhibition "Kyoka Suigetsu" is a word that expresses ephemeral and beautiful like a phantom, beauty that cannot be picked up, and depth that cannot be explained, but the main theme is kaleidoscope. The world you can see when you look into this beautiful kaleidoscope....Please look forward to it!
