200 years with Japanese paper-washi Haibara ~

[rosemary sea] October 22, 2017 09:00

This is a rosemary sea, covering "gifts and I enjoy myself" with systematics.

This time, I would like to introduce a long-established Japanese paper shop in Nihonbashi, Haibara.

We handle a wide range of paper products from Japanese paper and Japanese paper accessories to stationery and letter sets.

1505_016-21b.jpg

Mr. Haibara has been in business for more than 200 years since 1806 (3rd year of culture), but the shop is a new store constructed in 2015 (Heisei 27).

An eye-catching building where you can feel the tradition and innovation of a long-established store.

Both the interior and exterior were awarded the Good Design Award in 2016.

As I mentioned earlier from the appearance, of course, my main business is shining more.

There are also a variety of customers.

From the Imperial Family to successive ministers, British rockstars and Queen's Freddie Mercury, we have responded to the needs of everyone.

I have a lot of business relationships.

Yumeji Takehisa, Kyosai Kawanabe, Shinsui Ito, Shibatazeshin, etc.

Yumeji Takehisa ... correspondents, you learned in the text.

Kyosai Kawanabe ・ ・ ・ Please see the article "Eitarou Sohonho" by Rosmari.

Shinsui Ito ・ ・ ・ ・ Please see the article of "Bivilizationdo Tokyo" by Rosmari.

When I start talking about Mr. Haibara's history, I can't see the end.

I would like to talk a little more about history in a later article.

DSC02992a.jpg

The current president, Tatsuo Nakamura, is the seventh generation.

We spoke with Yoko Nakamura, a spokeswoman for Haibara Corporation.

This is the president's sister.

Let's introduce the product.

1505_062a.jpg"Ganshin paper Haibara" written on Haibara's noren.

As shown here, since the Edo period, "Gange Paper" has been a signboard product representing Mr. Haibara.

What is a geese paper?

Paper made of deciduous shrub of the ginkgo family called geese.

The fibers are short and thin, so the surface is fine and glossy.

Therefore, it is soft around the brush and ideal for writing letters.

In addition, since its strong and closeness and strong resistance to pests, it has been used in emakimono, documents, Buddhist scripture and books since the Heian period.

On the other hand, geese is difficult to grow and takes time to manufacture, so the production volume is very small at present.

During the Edo period, when Taihei continued, the hobbies of townspeople were also mature, and high-quality and beautiful paper became required.

Mr. Haibara, who provided high-quality geese paper, made the foundation to the present.

It seems that they have high-quality Japanese paper from various places, including geese paper.

"I was awarded the Good Design Award in 2012.

I want to create a letter paper that can be cut out after writing by reminding me of the idea from the wrapping paper, so new and easier-to-use stationery is added by adding modern technology to accurately folding or cutting paper along the perforation. Was made.

1708_0090 Snakeside stationery horizontally. jpgSince it was based on the wrapping paper, there was only vertical writing for a long time, but this time, "horizontal writing bellow letter paper" has been made.

It's a new product.

There were a lot of requests from customers.

Since we use hard paper, you can use one or two sheets like a card, or you can connect as much as you like.

The design uses the old Chiyogami, so it is a product that can be enjoyed by overseas people. "

It's true that if you write horizontally, you can handle English characters.

"We use Haibara's original Chiyogami and were designed and designed during the Meiji and Taisho eras.

Based on that, the cover is a slightly changed color or altered in a form that is in line with the present age.

Goshuin book is a boom now, so there are many people who buy it.

There are Fukutoku Shrine and Seven Lucky Gods around Nihonbashi, so it's a good place to go around vermilion seal stamp.

There are many people who are looking for it and leave for a tour of vermilion seal stamp."

It's a red stamp book on the cover that is loved by women.

"I also use Haibara's original Chiyogami.

Twelve sheets are called Chiyogami, and the remaining 12 are called folk art paper, and contain colored Japanese paper.

A total of 24 tickets.

There are various uses, such as folding origami, making Tanabata decorations, laying them under sweets and using them instead of napkins. "

"Every year, we sell calendars using the pattern of Chiyogami in Haibara, but this year's one is the cover of a gorgeous maple pattern, and the inside is a flower pattern according to the season.

There are also large wall hangings."

It is a paper used in the tea ceremony.

Various kinds of products are available, such as white plain, color edges, and so on.

・・・ Finally, you introduced an episode about Japanese shop curtain.

Haibara's Japanese shop curtain "Gangfu Paper Haibara" is still used in the same typeface in the early Meiji era by a disciple of Shishin Shibata, Yushin Ayaoka.

Mr. Haibara, from the Meiji era to the Taisho era, he asked Mr. Ayaoka for a new Japanese shop curtain every year and was renewed.

On December 28, 1889, Dr. Ayaoka wrote it and waited for the ink to dry, but his wife's domestic cat took it over it. A good footprint.

The disciples advised to remove dirt. Then, a gentle teacher, usually extorted, "Do you think you'll be fooled?"

He talked to Echigo-ya (now the predecessor of Mitsukoshi) who sewed the noren and asked him.

Mr. Echigoya responded kindly, sewed up all night, and Japanese shop curtain was in time for New Year's Eve.

Thank you very much, Mr. Nakamura.

There are many other items that I would like to introduce.

Please come and visit us.

And I'd like to buy it.

It's loose, but it's not just loose. Looseness is attractive. ~ Living tool shop surou~

[rosemary sea] October 17, 2017 09:00

This is rosemary sea, which covers "gifts and enjoy yourself" as one item.

There is a living tool shop surou at the corner of Ningyocho 1-chome near Suitengu Shrine.

I'll read it. The word "loose" may also be written.

We have a collection of things that will make your life a little luxurious, focusing on interiors and miscellaneous goods.

It seems that the motto is to face customers honestly and sincerely, even though it is loose.

We talked to Minamoto Kawai, Representative Director of SAL Consulting Co., Ltd., which operates surou.

Born in Ningyocho, the shop here is Atsumiya Shokudo.

It seems that your parents' house was running.

And the other person involved in management is his wife.

The origin of Mr. surou's name ...

The shop was opened in Ningyocho in 2008 (Heisei 20).

The name of the shop was "Slow" from the previous shop.

I don't want to do it too much, and if I'm so relaxed, "Is it okay?" What do you think?

Then, if you put "slow" on your name, you can say that it is slow.

(... No, no, it's reasonable.)

However, "slow" is too bad, so I read it there a long time ago and my favorite book was "slow boat to China".

A collection of virgin short stories by Haruki Murakami.

Bring the "slow" from there and make it Roman letters "surou".

I don't know what I'm selling by itself, so the subtitle is "living tool shop".

But in fact, it seems that this one was decided first.

It has become a rare name shop that lives together with nostalgia and fresh sound, and is still vague.

DSC02956a.jpg DSC02957a.jpg

It seems that he was involved in everything from store design, interior, painting, etc., but the biggest feature of this shop is "scaffold board floors, shelves, tables".

It looks like a board material used for the construction of a temple.

It's the cedar board itself.

And the concrete floor. There are also notes during the construction work in some places.

It tastes good. It's "loose."

Thank you for waiting. This is an introduction of the product.

sol x sol is a specialty store in succulent plant.

In any case, we specialize in succulent plant and focus on promoting it.

"Misa Matsuyama has also appeared as a lecturer at succulent plant on NHK E-Tele's Hobby Horticulture. The succulent plant arranged by that person is popular. It is sold on consignment basis. It's also good for a small gift."

By the way, the person standing behind succulent plant is President Kawai.

・・・ FUTAGAMI's brass household goods

FUTAGAMI is a daily necessities brand launched by Nijo Co., Ltd., a brass casting manufacturer in Takaoka, Toyama.

Brass is resistant to corrosion and is relatively easy to process.

In addition, the texture is soft and glossy.

The more you use it, the more oxidizes the surface and gives a unique taste.

"It's a daily necessities made of solid brass, and some unusual places include tape cutters, lighting, and plug-outs.

It is a product that allows you to enjoy changing over time.

DSC02953a.jpg

・・・ Diary (Hijiki) Marukawa Store

"It's a 10-year diary.

"Matsusaka Momen" is used on the cover.

The diary is a very popular product."

It is designed to keep writing continuously.

It means that the entry field for one day is about one to two lines, so that you can easily write it every day.

I could write a week's worth of work on the weekend.

In addition, the paper is ... low backwards, good writing, moderate thickness, good texture, and shades that do not get tired of eyes ... It is said that the paper was selected that meets these conditions.

DSC02951a.jpg

DSC02952a.jpg・・・ Original design glasses of Sghr (Sugahara)

"It's a glass that is made by craftsmen, not by being a writer.

There are a lot of craftsmen, and they are designed by craftsmen.

This is a glass with bubbles.

It can be mass-produced, but it is a very unique item."

It is finished in a glass of a beautiful flowing form created by craftsmen one by one. It is also characterized by its unique brilliance.

NuRIE (color painting) and cultography (white map) Maruai Co., Ltd. (O Ai)

"There are many different variations in coloring pages.

There are things like rolls, and there are box types.

It is a product that can be enjoyed by painting."

"It's the same manufacturer, but it's a blank map.

You can arrange it yourself and make it. I'm writing where I went."

A white map with a sense of freedom and can be used in various ways for adults.

I wonder if it can be displayed as an interior.

By the way, the coloring on the roll type is ultra-long size of 2,280 mm long.

It's worth painting.

Thank you very much, Mr. Kawai.

In addition, there are many products that you are interested in.

A dish that can be taken by hand, touched, and moisturized to life.

How about? I'm sorry.

・・・ In addition to the introduction, there are also recommended gift items.

[Chuo-ku to enjoy with children] #16: Exciting Bookstore Aska Booksellers (Higashinihombashi)

[Dye] 12:00 on October 2, 2017

You've gotten a sign of autumn.
The application for the 10th Chuo-ku Tourism Certification also starts on Sunday, October 1!

This time, I would like to introduce a wonderful bookstore that triggered me to take the sightseeing test.
It is "Asuka Booksellers" located in Higashinihombashi.

s46_01.jpg

It is located just outside the B3 exit of Higashi Nihonbashi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line.
It's open from early morning till late at night.

Since this neighborhood is an apparel wholesale district, there are plenty of books and magazines related to fashion, as well as a lot of cute and fashionable miscellaneous goods.

One of my pleasures is to look at books and miscellaneous goods at Asuka Booksellers and buy your favorite tea that is only sold here, but especially when I was just after birth, I couldn't go out much and it was fun. I often came when I walked because there were few things.

If you think about it, at that time, there is a poster and text of the tourist association in the store, and immediately buy it that it looks interesting....I was lucky enough to become a correspondent. The beginning is here ^^

s46_06.jpg

This year's text was also lined up in the store.

s46_03.jpg s46_04.jpg

A number of miscellaneous goods other than books. There's even more, including stationery.
Because it has a good taste, it is perfect for a small present to a friend (' ▽ `*)

I would like to order books that are not in the store, and book covers are also fashionable, so I try to buy books here as much as possible.
From May, coffee and cocoa can also be taken out.

s46_05.jpg

Book cover with a dot pattern. You can choose the color.☆

What is great for children is that there are plenty of picture books, sweets and toys.
Recently, there is also a large plarail.

s46_07.jpg s46_08b.jpg

Nailing...(laughs)

Chibi in my home loves Anpanman very much, so every time I pass in front of the bookstore, "Oh! !!" I'm rushing up with this!?"... And it's hard to return! (^^;)
I'm very grateful to sell Anpanman Bathball too.

A bookstore where both adults and children are excited.
I can't introduce you, but there are many things like treasure chests.

Please go to see what you have.

Ubuke and deep popularity and history are on the signboard.

[Silver] 09:00 on October 1, 2017

The specialty store of knives in Ningyocho is Ubukeya, founded in Tenmei 3 (1783). It is a long-established store that has been around for more than 230 years since the Edo period, and I like it because it serves politely. Even when I bought a small nail clipper, I remember wrapping it carefully in paper. Yeah,

When I always passed in front of the store and when I entered the store, I didn't care about anything about the signboard.

Suddenly I noticed that there were two signs on the front.

A big sign above.

1506412264123.jpg

And on the sign below it, something ruby (?) It seems that it is a "signature". An abbreviation of "Inauguration of Inauguration". This is a calligraphy of the Orient, Japan, and is a signature and seal that the author applies to the work upon completion.

1506412317364.jpg

Today, I would like to introduce "Ubukeya", the name of the store, "Yosho Signboard". In the explanation

It was written by the famous Meiji calligrapher Meikaku Kusakabe's gate Shitenno at a time. "U" = Unei Ihara, "Bu" = Niwa Kaizuru, "Kake" = Kakusui Iwata, "Ya" = Yukitake Kondo.

1506412339013.jpg

Oh, that's right! I didn't know when such a manual was placed, but I didn't realize that the signature was written.

A convenient "edible scissors" for travel were on display.

1506412394918.jpg

It is "Ubukeya", a cutlery that can be shaved even with "Ubukeya".

For more information, please visit our website. https://www.ubukeya.com/about.html
