Ukiyo-e (Part 4) that decorates shutters in the Nihonbashi area

[Yurikamome] June 25, 2011 08:30

I walked a lot in search of the ukiyo-e picture drawn on the shutters of the Nihonbashi district.

Walking along a road that you didn't know about, watching beautifully blooming flowers ... finding a small park ... I had a good time.

I would like to end with this "Part 4", but only the tofu shop "Futaba" was unable to take pictures because Japanese shop curtain was on the picture at any time.

Today is an ukiyo-e that I couldn't see even if I visited the Kyobashi area.

The upper left of the picture above is taken in detail.

When I talked to the person who was cleaning the shutter that had been up once in the table of "Hotel Kazusaya", he dropped the shutter again.

Thank you ... thank you ...

The creator, Akiko Fukunaga, was a young person and worked hard in front of the shutter.

I was impressed that it was a wonderful thing, and her feelings were conveyed.

I think that many young people besides Akiko Fukunaga were involved in the production of shutters in Chuo-ku.

I strongly felt the support of young people who protect the history and culture of Edo.

[North Yujin] June 23, 2011 09:00

At the southern end of Hamacho Park, a common facility called "Hamacho Memorial" has been newly built.

You can see the back of the building from the edge of the children's square.

A ship on the Sumida River

[Orii Mai] June 22, 2011 08:30

It was a season when I miss water.

Various ships come and go on the Sumida River.

Water buses, houseboats, motorboats, work boats, etc.

It's a good idea to see the water surface shining brightly and vaguely look at these.

The front entrance of Takashimaya, "Flow stream" of Sendai Tanabata

[Yurikamome] June 15, 2011 13:30

The front entrance of Nihonbashi Takashimaya is decorated with Sendai's Tanabata decorations "Flow streamers".

This is genuine and borrowed from Sendai.

It will be displayed at the front entrance of Takashimaya until July 7, but will be returned to Sendai and displayed at Tanabata festival in Sendai from Saturday, August 6 to 8 (Mon).

2011_0613 Photo up to Takashimaya Tanabata Decoration 090402 Photos up to 0001.JPGThe Sendai Seven Evening Festival began in the days of Sendai feudal lord and Masamune Date.

With the Meiji Restoration, "Tanabata festival" declined nationwide due to changes, the adoption of new calendars, and the recession after World War I, but in 1927, volunteers from merchants gathered and revived the Tanabata decorations.

The Sendai Seven Evening Festival is supported by the tradition of 400 years.

The seven venerable decorations, such as "Flow stream", "Orizuru", "Striple", "Disposal Net", "Paper Cloth", "Paper Cloth", have long been filled with wishes.

"Flowing sink" symbolizes Orihime's weaving thread and aims to improve weaving and handicrafts.

A gorgeous ball is displayed at the top.

2011_0613 Photo up to Takashimaya Mascot 090402 0008.JPG

It can be seen in various places in the "Rose-chan Doll" store, which is the mascot of Takashimaya, but on the left side from the customer's point of view, always has the "Hinomaru flag" and the right side calls on "reflection of the times" as a topic I am.

"Let's support reconstruction actions for Japan for the affected areas" ...
