Nihonbashi River/Kanda River Cruise

[Dunsir Kotobuki] July 6, 2009 12:00

Initially, we planned to depart and arrive at the Nihonbashi River and Shin-Misaki Bridge Disaster Prevention Pier, but the tide level on the day was low, so it was changed to departure and arrival at the Ichibei Riverside Disaster Prevention Pier as described above to avoid dangers when getting on and off.
The operating entity was called the NPO "Environment and Science Club", and the ship used was a small battery-powered "environmentally friendly" electric boat with a capacity of 12 people.

The captain's guide was simple and important, and not only historical heritage such as the stone wall of the outer moat of Edo Castle and the traces of the tributaries that disappeared, but the difference between the tide level on the Nihonbashi River reached a maximum of 2 meters, and the usual transparency is more than 2 meters, but when it rains, it fell to about 30 cm due to the effects of the combined sewer system, and efforts to purify the water quality using microorganisms.

However, of the 24 bridges that span the Nihonbashi River, only two bridges, Minato Bridge and Toyomi Bridge, which are not covered by the Metropolitan Expressway, were reaffirmed, and I felt a strong resentment.
The promoter of this tour was "Pakekaru Club" (03-5652-7072).

Sailing ship CUAUHTEMOC passenger ship COSTA CLASSICA

[Yurikamome] July 1, 2009 12:00

I would like to mention a memorable ship that entered and departed Harumi Wharf in June.

Nippon Maru also entered the port on the 25th, 26th and 28th, but most importantly, my memory was Mexican sailing ships and Italian luxury cruise ships.

This is a photo of the crew down from the yard.

Entering port at 13:30 on June 6 Departing at 14:00 on June 11

Although it is a sailing ship, it is not possible to sail with a sail because of the heavy traffic in Tokyo Port.

However, in the yard where the sails were dropped when entering the port, there are so many occupants from the upper row to the lower row, 3 people, 4 people, 5 people ... side by side, so much that it becomes the lower row .

It was raining lightly, so the crew standing in the yard wore yellow rain feathers, but the white ship looked beautiful.

This sailing ship left Yokohama Port in the morning, but saw off the sailing ship in Yokohama and met a woman welcoming this sailing ship again at Harumi Wharf.

The day of departure at 14:00 on June 11 was fine.

The yard was lined with crews in white uniforms, shining beautifully in the blue sky, and departed for Onjuku (Chiba).

In 1609, when a Mexican ship was distressed in the waters near Onjuku, fishermen on the beach and Ama divers were rescued and castle owner Otaki sent him to Mexico by Japanese ship.

COSTA CLASSICA      52,926 tons Italian ship liner

Entering at 8:00 on June 11 at 14:00 on June 12 12:00 on June 28 Departure at 19:00 on June 29

The ship came from Nagasaki on the 11th, anchored at Harumi Wharf, departed for Kobe on the 12th, anchored at Harumi Wharf on the 28th, and left Japan via Nagasaki on the 29th.

The ships berthed on the night of the 11th and the night of the 28th were very beautiful and decorated the night sky of Chuo-ku.

At 19 o'clock on the 29th, he sounded a whistle and slowly left the quay, took the course to the right and turned left in front of the Rainbow Bridge and passed straight through the Rainbow Bridge and disappeared .

The jewelry box seemed to be small and disappearing.
