[Silver] June 29, 2010 17:00

After the Iriume Declaration, the cloudy days continue, but the plants here at Tsukiji River Park are.

It's growing steadily. At the entrance, quick morning glory blooms, and biwa produces yellow fruit.

It's on the branches.

At the entrance of the park, a large Taisanboku (Taiyamagi) has a large white flower.

CIMG5239.jpg

It releases fragrance generously. Can I see it until mid-July?

CIMG5241.jpg

In early spring, the yellow flowers bloomed in yellow, and the back is Acanthus Morris.

What I often see recently is this yellow willow. I'm a beautiful woman from China.

You can feel like a general in Chuo-ku.

[Koedo Itabashi] June 28, 2010 08:45

Throughout the Edo period, the city of Edo, facing the castle of Chiyoda, prospered as "the knee of Kokata-sama (general conquering general)".

More than 140 years have passed since the Edo Shogunate ended.

Now, where is the place in Chuo-ku where you can enjoy the feeling of a general?

In Chuo-ku, you can see the remains of the castle in Chiyoda around Tokiwa Bridge in the northwest of the ward.

However, when it comes to the feeling of a general ...

What about here?

"Hamarikyu Garden"

It's a former shogun's residence.

In the early Edo period, it was a falconry field of the Tokugawa Shogunate, where reeds were growing all over.

It seems that the construction began in 1654 when Kofu, the younger brother of the 4th Shogun Iezuna, Tsunashige Matsudaira, built a beach mansion.

Later, Tsunashige's child became the 6th Shogun Ienobu, and the mansion came to be called the Shogun's annex "Hamagoten".

It is said that in the era of the 11th Shogun Ienari, it was almost created to its current state.

Chisen-kaiyu garden.

The tide pond, which draws the seawater of Tokyo Bay, also changes the taste of the garden due to changes in the water level due to the rise and fall of the tide.

Yes, it's the depth of a Japanese-style garden.

If you look at the "300 Years of Pine" related to the 6th Shogun Ienori and taste matcha at "Nakajima's Ochiya", you will feel like a general.

The dock for Shoguns, which was able to come and go along the castle and waterway of Chiyoda, is the "Shogun Go Upground".

It is said that this is the place where the 15th Shogun Yoshinobu escaped Osaka Castle and landed after the battle of Toba and Fushimi.

If you take a water bus and enter the garden from the "General's Upground", this is a general.

You may be immersed in a great mood that moves the world for a day.

How about it? It's just like a general.

Oh, if you look at Taiga drama series's "Tenshoin Atsuhime", the general seems very hard!

Summer in Edo!

[Satsuki Yanagi] June 25, 2010 10:10

I met in Ginza on Sunday!

The place is near the Ginza 4-chome intersection where Wako and GUCCI are lined up.

hurin1.jpg

Edo's summer tradition "Edo wind chime" is sold.

The food stalls (?) were just ready.

When I talked about the shooting and correspondent blog, he answered "Good!" at a tempo like Edokko.

hurin2.jpg

Either way, couples and women who were younger than the elderly gathered, "Wow, cute!"

hurin3.jpg

There were a lot of different colors and shapes.

And just by blowing the wind, "Chilin, Chilin"

It's a fun moment for both eyes and ears!

hurin4.jpg

Although the state of the city and people's fashion were different, there was such a landscape even in the Edo period! !

A street where green permeates my eyes

[Sam] June 22, 2010 15:00

In Chuo-ku, where there are few greenery such as large-scale parks, greening in road space in addition to greenery in residential land is also an issue in promoting greening.

In addition to the “green coverage” (currently 9.1% ⇒ target 12%) indicating the total amount of green, the percentage of green that appears within a human perspective “green visibility” (currently 37.6% ⇒ target 50%) is green. It is important as an index that allows you to feel the richness of greenery.

The structure of the road planting part (generally higher in the order of "no planting part", "planting trout", and "planting zone"), tree species (the United States fu, zelkova, and cherry blossoms with a wide crown tend to be higher), and the greening of the approach facility (generally high in the case of parks and large-scale facilities).

This time, I would like to introduce a typical example of a roadside where the "green visibility" is considered to be high.

This time is especially rich in greenery and softens the passersby.

Color of Japanese iris and hydrangea

[Sam] June 16, 2010 08:30

Japanese iris and hydrangea begin to bloom when the spring-colored flowers have settled down. All of them are crossed, many varieties have been improved, and you can enjoy a rich flower color (in the case of hydrangea, "Utsuro") and shape.

It is said that the flowering of various flowers is delayed this year than usual, but at Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, 1,000 Japanese iris plants are in full bloom at this time. hydrangea is also beginning to bloom.

The flowers shine in the rain during the season, but please enjoy the nice colors during the sunny days before the rainy season.
