GINZA ILLUMINATION <Wings of Hope>

[Sam] Nov. 29, 2011 13:00

R0015752S.JPG From November 25th to December 25th, the illumination "GINZA ILLUMINATION ~ Wings of Hope" is being held at Harumi-dori St. on Ginza Street. Organized by the Ginza Association, the Ginza Street Federation, and the Ginza International Luxury Committee (GILC).

Thirty-five objects with wings motifs are installed in Ginza 1-chome to 8-chome Ginza Street, and 1.2km from Sukiyabashi on Harumi-dori St. to Ginza 4-chome.

The wings of the object are six designs based on the keywords of "happiness", "love", "bonds", "power", "dreams", and "future", and the center sphere of each of the 35 bodies is "hope" drawn by children in the affected area. It is said that the sphere and the wings shine, and LED lighting is used to save energy.

The retro building of Ginza Okuno Building

[Mumin] Nov. 18, 2011 08:30

The Okuno Building was built in Ginza 1-chome in 1932 (1932) as an ultra-modern apartment at that time. In addition to the office, the building at that time had a rental store on the first floor, an envoy room, a warehouse underground, a shared bathroom with gender distinction, a lounge and a laundry room on the floor, and the 2nd to 6th floors were living. Was. The elevator was also installed because it was a six-story building. After that, the 7th floor was expanded. The exterior of the building was made of scratch tiles (jagged tiles) that are common in buildings at the time of completion. The entrance on the first floor also has a unique round window of the time.

With the opening of "Gallery Streetbo" in 1992, the current number of galleries is more than 30, and it is an antique building with a scent of art.

Hamarikyu Garden Winter feature Snow hanging (Southern style) frost repellent (Obake)

[Yurikamome] Nov. 17, 2011 08:30

In the sunny weather of Hamarikyu, snow hanging, a winter tradition, was displayed.

It will give you an accent when your garden becomes lonely. It will entertain your eyes until the end of March.

This decoration cannot support this core snow and is only a decoration.

In earnest, it is "Kenrokuen-style snow hanging", but the smaller one is displayed in Shiba Rikyu Garden.

Snow hanging in Tokyo is divided into "Northern style" and "Southern style", "Koishikawa Korakuen" and "Rokugien" are northern style, and "Hamarikyu Garden" and "Hibiya Park" are southern style.

The method of the master at that time is still handed down.

The tip of the sail column is called Valen.

The decoration is made with a hanging rope.

It is a rich decorative snow hanging with a lot of thin ropes.

2011_1113 Hamayuki Suspension (Buchi 2) Photo 0020.JPG The hem is called a bee, and the bee rotates a rope around the tip of the bee (frame at the tip of the bamboo) and connects a hanging rope around it.

The bamboo passing sideways is called Kanzashi.

In warm regions, cold-sensitive plants such as cycad and Digo are rolled up with straw during the winter to protect trees from the cold of winter.

The contents of this photo in the garden of Hamarikyu are not cycad, but bamboo is placed on the ground and it is decorated with straw. Therefore, the name among craftsmen is "Obake ..."

The monument of Ginbari is located between MONT BLANC BLDG and Ginza Morimae.

[Silver] Nov. 16, 2011 08:30

Today, the weather was fine, so I was spressed with "Silver Bra". In autumn, the street corner where chanson is likely to be heard. A little bit, I walked with nostalgia of the ruins of Ginbari. On the corner of Ginza 7-chome, a little east of the MONT BLANC Building, you will find a monument of Ginbari. noteI felt that it wasnotes dead leaves, but unfortunately Ginzo is an elementary school student. Also, when the store closes, go out of Japan. Let's buy Yukari Kaneko's hit Melo Day "Reunion" at Yamano Musical Instruments at 4-chome.

Next door, Ginza Morimae is a shop specializing in bonsai.

Postscript: I'm really happy to be able to write down the date of construction on one side of the monument. fujiI think it deserves shinethe Cultural Achievement Award.
